Before that he spent 18 years as a redneck in Dresden, Tennessee. He met his wife, Bianca, at Vanderbilt and married her in 1992. They have four boys and one dog. The Lord called Ricky into the ministry by revealing that His sovereign grace could save even the most self-righteous of people in 1989.
