Keith Green was "radical man" His songs, his kinky hair and beard seemed to help minister to youth.

Keith Green played the piano on the Ed Sullivan show when he was about Eight years of age. In his 20’s he ministered for the Salvation Army assembly. He wrote over a dozen songs that changed hearts and revolutionized worship music for a generation. (# contemporary singers.) Mr. Keith Green songwriter, singer, and church member blessed us with many albums like “No Compromise” “Do you want-to go back to Egypt?” “For him who has ears to hear” plus a song in three-quarters waltz time “To Obey is better than sacrifice” from 1 Samuel 15:22. Wow, even the orchestration was beautiful!

Death in plane crash: Along with 11 others, Keith Green died in July 1982, when the Robertson STOL-modified Cessna 414 leased by Last Days Ministries crashed after takeoff from the private airstrip located on the LDM property. Besides Keith Green, the crash killed 2-year-old Bethany and the Greens' only son, 3-year-old Josiah. NBC news. . A lot of factors are involved in loading a plane as the CG, the Center of Gravity.

If Keith would have survived, I believe he would have just kept growing in faith and love.

Keith Green’s initial tone of ministry was largely influenced by Leonard Ravenhill, who pointed Keith to Charles Finney, a nineteenth century revivalist preacher who preached the law of YaH to provoke conviction in his hearers. During his concerts he would often exhort his listeners to repent and commit themselves more wholly to following Mashiach. (Common titles and names changed to conform to Scripture.)

In 1979, after negotiating a release from his contract with Sparrow, Green initiated a new policy of refusing to charge money for concerts or albums. Keith and Melody mortgaged their home to privately finance Green’s next album, So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt. The album, which featured a guest appearance by Bob Dylan, was offered through mail-order and at concerts for a price determined by the purchaser. As of May 1982, Green had shipped out more than 200,000 units of his album ? 61,000 for free. Subsequent albums included The Keith Green Collection (1981) and Songs For The Shepherd (1982).

One letter says verbatim “Hi Melody and co-laborers in The Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, May the peace and grace of Yahushua ha Mashiach be upon you and deliverance from this present world…”

Despite the back drop of the 1960’s, culture, dress, kinky hair or frizzy beards, they could still be used because of their commitment and conviction of The Word. We are commanded to wear the appropriate dress regardless of culture.

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world, by the renewing of your mind..”

Putting their lifestyles aside, Christian artists Mr. Keith Green. Steve Green, Steve Fry, Phil Keagy and a few others were instrumental for putting new life into Church music. The “Church of the Frigidaire” was left out in the cold for the so-called Spirit-filled church and the Covenant life. Messiah is our Husband and we are the Bride.

The Salvation Army church was doing some innovative things I’ll tell about now. The story begins in 1982 in The Dalles, Oregon. A second story Salvation Army assembly was right across from a parlor which had some evil video arcade games. The Salvation Army leader (Lieutenant? ) Vince Ghenna was active in many events. He took the initiative and put in a video arcade with “soft games” for FREE just like Keith and Melody. The youth loved it and it kept many from trouble and probably helped them grow closer to the Savior of the world. Praise to YaHVaH Almighty in the Third Heaven.
