As we joined Churches in the 1970's and 80's there were great Songs and Hymns of old. Many sermons were inspirational and brought spiritual stength. Little did we know that all this and beautiful spiritual music would gradually disappear. A remnant remains (Keith Green, Steve Green, etc.).

If we only had known that these would be replaced by modern pop music, rock and weak sermons.
The rock and roll of the 1950's often would have shades of a finer culture.
Song worship leaders had been groomed to like the great faith songs of old, and most of them had played a musical instrument, not ghetto guitar. They did not imitate pop, urban country or hippy music. the emphasis was on praise; not on how loud they could crank it up.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Let us return to the Rock of Ages and of Salvation.

Secondly, be in opposition to the devious trends and flippant discarding of Scripture, Hymns of Faith and moving backward to tainted Christian rock music. Did Paul say "Keep up with the trends?"
