A Call To Faithfulness
Series

AUTHOR: Moses, the aged servant of God.
Deuteronomy means "the second law" or "the repetition of the law." The law was first given to the Israelites at Mt. Sinai. But they—the first generation of believers—proved to be a sinful people, a people of unbelief and disobedience. They did not believe God, not enough to lay hold of the promised land. As a result, they wandered about for forty years and died in the desert wilderness. Now forty years later, this aged servant of God stands before the second generation of believers—the sons and daughters of the unbelieving generation—and repeats the law to them. For a second time he seeks to prepare a generation of believers to enter the promised land.
The great Book of Deuteronomy is a series of messages preached by Moses as he seeks to prepare the second generation of Israelites to enter, conquer, and possess the promised land.
