About

Who We Are

We are a church located in Taylorsville, Georgia.

Servants for Christ, operate to create self-sustaining, evangelistic/discipleship outreach ministry where Christians know their faith, share their faith, and grow their faith. To glorify God by making disciples, primarily through nurturing believers, for their role in relational evangelism.
We are a 501c3 religious non-profit formed to serve the public and charitable purposes in the community.
We operate alongside churches and Christian groups to help them to better know their faith and to be able to effectively share it with others.
While our work is primarily in sharing the gospel by preaching, teaching the word of God from the KJV bible and ministering with must make disciples, not merely converts. “5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. (2 Cor 4:5)”
The achievement of Servants for Christ is not the growth of our ministry but in the maturity and growth of the local church through evangelism.
Servants of Christ believes and adheres to our Lord's instructions in the "GREAT COMMISSION" (Matthew 28:18-20) to go (as you live); teach (make disciples); and observe (obey) all that He has commanded. As God's ambassadors our vision is about winning as many people as possible to Jesus Christ throughout the world.
We believe in God the Father, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin, suffered and was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father.

Pastor Darrell Bailey

Coming from Arab, Alabama, and growing up in Tampa, Fla. I moved with my family to Georgia in 1969. I was saved by God’s marvelous Grace in September 1972 at Blue Springs Baptist Church located down the road from North Cobb High School in Acworth, Ga. Called to preach at 16 years old 1980 and licensed at Rope Mill Baptist Church in Wood Stock, Ga. Youth minister at Rope Mill Baptist Church from1980 to 1982. Enlisted in the United States Army in 1982 after graduating from Cass High School in Cartersville, Ga. Attended Central Texas College for my academic classes while in the military. I was Honorable discharged in 1986 and began my work career with Atlantic Steel in Atlanta, Georgia for 8 ½ years before it shut down to move to all melting operations to Cartersville. I Attended seminary with Lee University and Georgia Baptist Association. I dated my Lovely Hawaiian wife Lita for a year and proposed in marriage to her on October 1st, 1988 and we were married December 22, 1989. I had a radio program on WYXL 1270 am with Rev. David Bennett for 3 years called the “The Bread of Life Broadcast.” I preached at the High Rise Apartments in Marietta, Ga. with the Rev. Don Clayton and Rev. Keith Allen on Sunday afternoons. While working at Atlantic Steel in Atlanta I helped teach Young a married Sunday School class with the Pastor and wed night children ministry with My wife Lita at Oakland Heights Baptist Church , Cartersville, Ga. from 1990 to 2001. I was interim for almost a year at PVBC. I was on a Mission trip with the Hands and Feet ministry in 2000. We were building the foundation for churches in Mexico and using teenagers out of school for the summer. I was approached by the pulpit committee from Peeples Valley Baptist Church and voted in as pastor January 13, 2002. Peeples Valley Baptist, is one of thirty-nine Southern Baptist churches in Northwest Georgia voluntarily working together to reach the Bartow County area for the Kingdom of Christ, (www.bartowbaptist.org). The fact that Jesus died for our sin, was buried, and then rose from the grave is foundational for Southern Baptists. He lives today and stands ready to give abundant and eternal life to all those who repent of sin and place their faith in Him.
