Who We Are
We are located in Houston, Texas.
The goal of Grace Community International is to equip parents to be effective Family Disciplers. Jesus Christ said to His disciples in Luke 6:40: "A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher". Christ appointed 12 men to be His disciples; His goal was to train them and then send them out as fruitful, responsible, independent Apostles. Likewise, we as parents have the responsibility to prepare our children to leave us as fruitful and responsible young men and women who walk with God.
Our Family Discipleship Seminar, Workbook and other materials are meant to be tools to empower you as a parent - to return you to your rightful position as the head of your home. God chose you to parent your children and He gave you His Word to equip you for this responsibility. The Family Discipleship Seminar and Workbook start with this approach and then go on to practical methods of implementing God's principles in your home.
Rev. John S. Mahon
Rev. Mahon graduated from the University of Texas was a B.S. in secondary education. After teaching in the Austin Independent School District, he accepted the call of God from the Navigators to the ministry where he served for over 25 years in the college, community and missions arms of the Navigators. In addition, Rev. Mahon earned his Master of Arts in Ministry from Moody Graduate School and is pursuing his doctorate with Trinity Divinity School. Rev. Mahon is currently Director of Grace Community International where he devotes himself to the Lord through the ministry of the Family Discipleship Seminar, the Marriage Covenant Seminar, and related topics. When not presenting these seminars internationally, he ministers with churches in the United States out of his ministry base in Houston, Texas.
