Modern Day Parents and Children

In Modern days before 1970 parents were said to be “doing their best”. But often, the then busy Dad reneged his proper place as “man of the house”; he let his spouse “wear the pants in the family”. Occasionally the child actual was in charge. His alibi for not taking his role was “work” and fatigue.

Ephesians 5 is a good passage of Scripture to set-up the Spiritual leadership. It must assume that the Dad is a qualified Spiritual leader. If he is irresponsible, then the wand passes to the next in the chain of command.

IsaiYaH_3:4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

Isa_3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Here are some the Proverbs from Scripture a true believer cannot ignore:

Proverbs 23:12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. 13Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. 15My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.

22Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old. 23Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. 24The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. 25Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice. 26My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

15Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. (an often quoted Proverb.)

20Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. (Exodus 20/Deut 5 the Fifth Commandment) (Ephesians 6:4)

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way (he) should go and when he is old, he will not depart from fit.

Family Team Playing You may have heard that “team playing” is a good quality in matrimony for husband and wife. We agree that it often works well in the work place. Nonetheless it may not be the Scriptural policy when it comes down to a final decision. For example, “Should we allow 15 year old child to stay home away from Sabbath school and church?” “Couldn’t we just allow our child to go to Brand X church? They have a nice Sunday school and she could make a lot of friends there.”

Ask “Does the Church there even believe in the essentials of the Faith once delivered?” Acts 2:38.

If they do not teach the Word, the Gospel of Repentance, the Ten Commandments, all TEN, plus the statutes and judgments let them be anathema.

We suggest you study the book of Revelation, especially the warnings to us.

Read the Psalm 69, and be sure your name is not blotted out of the book of the living. Shalom!

Deut 31:6 Chazak, Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for YaHVaH thy YaH, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Josha 1:6 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee? Chazaq! Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for YaHVaH thy YaH is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Yes, rebuke the devil in Messiah’s Name. You will have spiritual victory over the HaSatan.

One reason for the numerous divorce is "selfishness" and "me first". The Tree of Life version uses the term selfish: Gal 5:20 idolatry, witchcraft, hostility, strife, jealousy, rage, selfish ambition, dissension, factions..
Jas_3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth.
:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil practice.

So even if we tire from long hours at the factories, we ought to have empathy for others and especially those of our household. Why not give the spouse the "benefit of the doubt". Why not? We give almost everyone else a brake, so even though the other half seems or gets 'ugly', try to understand what they think they are going through.

Thank you for examining my treastise.

The world seems at times so mixed-up and there is such confusion. That is why I spend two hours each day trying to stay in shape and enjoying His Creations. Take a break! Go Fish or boating. Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.

Do Mennonites and Amish evangelize? Nobody can deny their outer dress-up nor their message. How is Amish different from Christianity? from Google:

As a Christian church they follow the basic tenets of Christian faith; however, they emphasize adult baptism, simplicity, community, separation from popular culture, the separation of church and state, and pacifism. Their roots reach back to the Anabaptist movement in 1525 at the time of the Protestant Reformation.

Purim and Truth

Esther 1-2 be noted, the case is made by some religious teachers condoning divorce and remarriage. But Esther and King Ahasuerus never consumated a "marriage".

But what of 2:17 it is written "the king LOVED Esther above all the women...set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti? "Love" in Hebrew aw-hab or awhabe "to love or have affection for" - To like; befriend. The Scripture that is YaHVaH would not use a sinful action to save the Jews. the account of Esther can be read and understood at face value, not by reading anything else into it or by private interpretation. she found grace and favor (khesed). There never was an official blessing or condoning of the divorced King into a second marriage, not with Queen Esther. The case for divorce is first found in Deuteronomy 22 when a newly wedded discovered his spouse had lain with another man previously.

Bye for Now, TsephanYah
