Job chapter number 26 in your Bibles. Man, I'm dying. It is so hot. I can't stand this 80 degree stuff. This is ridiculous. Where did Michigan go? Bring me back the fall. Amen. I hope and pray the temperatures drop soon, fast, deep. I'm waiting to see who's gonna get mad. I'm sweating like crazy and it's not even worked up yet. Job chapter 26, let's pick up where we left off last week and Lord willing hopefully wrap this chapter up if we can, time permitting. You'll notice in verse number 7 it says, He stretcheth out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them. He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. The pillars of heaven tremble, and are astonished at his reproof. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. By his Spirit he hath garnished the heavens, his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Lo, these are parts of His ways, but how little a portion is heard of Him, but the thunder of His power, who can understand? Let's pray and then we'll get going. Father, I love You tonight. Thank You for the folks that have come out here and I pray God You'd bless us now as we get into Your Word. We ask You to help it to be understandable to us. I pray that Your Spirit would give every person here something that they need tonight to help them in their Christian life. Help me a little further down the road. Speak to our hearts, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. I'm taking my launching off point here, and we're going to go through some of these verses in a minute, but I'm taking it from verse number 14. He says, I thought that was a pretty interesting verse. Here he is, he's talking about a whole lot of deep things about God. Job, the man after God's own heart, I don't need to go back over that, we've beat that half to death. You realize who he was, of all the men in the earth. And you realize the situation he's in. Here he is talking about some very deep things as it regards to his knowledge of God and a lot of Job's knowledge was accurate Knowledge the knowledge we were seeing from his self-righteous buddies was all faulty stuff Almost I'd say over 90% even when they had something right there making a bad application so they just showed a real disjointed mess and a real lack of wisdom and a real lack of ability to take the truth they knew and and apply it properly or even know when it applies. Although they knew some of the entry-level stuff, it was just so murky due to their lack of relationship with God. Job has a relationship with God so much so that he desires his words above his necessary meat and didn't even have a written book yet. So that tells you how close Job was to God. And he begins talking about this God that he knows very well and very intimately, that he's close to, that he has respect for, God has respect towards him in his personal walk, quite a guy. And what he says in this verse is, lo, these are parts of his ways, but how little a portion is heard of him. Job recognizes that there really is a very little that we know about him. These are parts of his ways, and most people really don't really know anything about the Lord. Have you ever run into somebody like that? I mean, it's like they start trying to talk about God or talk about the Bible, and it's almost overwhelming because sometimes you don't even know where to start. You have to run all the way back to square one and begin to introduce to them why the Bible even has merit, why the Bible even has some validity to it, that there's actually some science in the Bible before science knew it. And it's kind of overwhelming, it's kind of frustrating dealing with somebody like that, let alone having them weigh in on your life and begin to tell them what they think of you. I want you to keep your finger here because I think we're going to be back here in a minute, but I think it's very important to go with me to 1 Corinthians, and I want to show you something in chapter 2. 1 Corinthians chapter 2. Look at verse number 1. There's a balance here that I'm going to try to hit tonight, and I'm going to do my best to try to hit it. 1 Corinthians 2 verse 1, And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. Now, that's important to notice. Paul wasn't there trying to show them what a great speaker he was. Paul wasn't there trying to show them how smart he is and how much he knows. Look, I make the mistake every once in a while of watching some of these contemporary preachers, and I shouldn't, but it puts a little fire in my gut. You know, I noticed something this week. There's a weird thing that a lot of these guys do. It's this strange, like, noise. As they're talking about God. And I'm like, what in the heck is it? Why are they all doing this? This stuff aggravates. There's a smoothness. Like, the one thing that I kept saying when I was watching one guy, I said, man, he's slick. Boys, he's smooth. I mean, just so professional. He's a master at what he does, a master at public speaking. I'm not talking about a master at preaching. They don't understand the art of preaching. They haven't perfected. There's not a preacher among them, but they're the masters of speaking. They're the masters of motivating. They're the masters of making your mind feel good and your heart feel fuzzy. Paul said, I didn't come to you like that. I'm not here to show off what a great order I am. He said in verse number two, for I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I wasn't trying to show you how much wisdom I've got. I wasn't trying to talk to you about all my experience and everywhere I've been and all that I've done. I just came to you telling you about Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. How be it? We speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to know it." So he's saying this, I'm not coming to you with worldly wisdom, how be it? When I get with you, I give you some wisdom. But we're not talking about worldly wisdom, we're talking about something that the world can't even grab a hold of, the world hasn't even heard about, the world can't even relate to, is what we're giving you. We're giving you something that you get, I'll show you in a second, because you have the Spirit of God in you, some of these things are able to resonate with you, they're able to register in your mind, They kind of begin to click in your heart and in your soul as time goes on. And you start to grab a hold of some things. That is a wisdom on another level. It's not a normal wisdom. It's things that this world can't ever grab a hold of that you're able to grab a hold of because you're saved. Hopefully you're saved and you're walking with Jesus Christ. Job knew some things about God because he'd been walking with God. And you and I need to walk with him so we can grab a hold of some stuff. He says this in verse 7, So, so much for these guys that say they got saved in the Old Testament looking forward to the cross. They had no idea what they were doing when they crucified Him. But as it is written, I have not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man but the Spirit of God. So what did He just say? He said in verse number nine, I have not seen nor ear heard neither entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. But there's a verse, but there's a contrast in verse 10. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Now wait a minute. That doesn't mean you know it all. You know what he's saying? The Spirit of God searches out some deep things and God will reveal some things to you and show you some things in your Bible about God that a natural man and your human spirit doesn't grab a hold of without the Spirit of God. But stay here in 1 Corinthians, go to chapter 13. Look at chapter number 13, and this is kind of what I'm driving at tonight. I think we looked at this one, I at least quoted it to you last week. He says in verse number 9, part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity these three, but the greatest of these is charity. So I hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither entered into the heart of man the things that God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. And according to chapter 13, we see these things the world can't even grab a hold of. They can't even understand some of these doctrines that we look at. It is absolutely pointless to try to teach lost people some of the Bible. It is pointless. They look at you like you're crazy. Without my children even knowing it, as they get into interactions around school and around lost people, I try to kind of plant the seeds and tune them a certain direction to say, listen, you can take a stand about that without that explanation because that makes you more of a target. And I know this, they can't comprehend what you're saying and what you're thinking. So you're getting frustrated, they're getting frustrated. There's a way to take your stand as a Christian and be a testimony as a Christian without trying to give them something they can't wrap their mind around. They're watching you and they're looking at you and something about you is different. Something about you is intriguing to them. And so you muddy the waters by trying to teach them something they cannot grasp. when in all reality, Paul said, with God's Spirit in you, you see these things like you're peeking through the glass darkly and you can kind of make out a little bit of a shape and there's some things you can tell and God shows you those things, the deep things of the Spirit of God, as you grow spiritually in Jesus Christ and put away the childish spiritual life and grow into spiritual maturity These things begin to take clear vision. Is that making sense? It's a growth process. And yet the most mature Christian, the Apostle Paul himself said, now we see through a glass darkly. When I run across a know-it-all, even if he's a preacher, that to me is a major red flag. First of all, I don't write every Bible-believing, know-it-all preacher off because sometimes, with time, people grow. Even preachers, right? But if they're at a point where they should be past that and they're still a know-it-all preacher, I just kind of make my distance. Do you know why? because something is wrong in the spirit of a man that's been in that book any length of time, and thinks he's got all the answers, and thinks he has every passage down, and he's got it all figured out, and he's here to tell you everything that, well, we're supposed to know all these things, and God reveals things with time, and he's showing me some things, and it's advanced revelation, and ooh, you start talking like that, I'm out. Why? Because you're kind of dangerously coming into a territory that you ought not be in because a man that really knows God begins to say, man, the closer I get to God, the less I feel like I really know. the less spiritual I feel like I am. The more I study my Bible, yes, I learn my Bible. Yes, I grow. Yes, there's doctrines. Listen, my doctrine has done nothing but get stronger. I have not, as I studied my Bible, began to doubt my doctrine. I've not gone back to rethink my doctrine in a very, very, very long time. I did that in the early days. The doctrine you've always known me to stand for, I've not had to go back and rethink that doctrine. The more I study my Bible, the things that are revealed to us by the Spirit of God are very, very sure and very, very clear. But when you start stepping into the principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world, When we start stepping into what exactly does heaven look like? The Bible spells out some pretty cool stuff about the New Jerusalem. There's a lot of things, a street of gold, we sing streets. The Bible said a street. You see, my vision as I stay in my Bible, it gets clearer about certain things, but I'm still seeing through a glass darkly. If you think as a Christian, you can never get to the point where you know it all, You got it all figured out, then why in the world did Paul say, hey, I got caught up, I was told some stuff, I can't tell you. Now how about that? God doesn't want me to, hey, seal up these words, don't tell nobody. Why? Because there's stuff on the other side, we're gonna find out when we get there. And that to me encourages me. Why? Because the stuff that already has been given to me, what I already know is enough for me to work on in my lifetime, man. I don't need to kind of wander off into all that other foolishness and into all the darkness and all the sinfulness and all the wickedness and find out all about the occult. the Bilderbergers, and the Masons, and what's going on, the Skull and Bones, and all the secret societies, and don't start venturing off into those things, because even though you think you know something, you may be getting into a territory the devil wants you in, and God Almighty doesn't want you in at all. You don't need to know. But there are some things God showed us, and those things we can know. I like to tell people, as long as you're running references in your Bible, keep studying. When you come across something in the Bible and you can't make light out of it by comparing Scripture with Scripture, but you gotta grab some Yahoo's book, I'm not talking about commentaries from Bible-believing guys. I'm talking about there's a lot of information out there. You gotta start Googling and YouTubeing some 30-year-old sitting in his mama's basement. Amen. I'm not trying to put down 30-year-olds in their mother's basement, but I'm just saying, a guy that doesn't work and sits around and tries to make himself look super professional with the backdrop behind you, and you don't know what environment he's actually in, but he makes himself look really successful because he knows how to do this stuff. You understand? You've got to go to YouTube and you got to start watching all this stuff and get you all messed up in your head. You better be careful Why because God showed you some things? There's some things God wants you to know and the Spirit of God will teach you some things and there's other things We're just seeing through a glass darkly and Paul was good with saying then shall I know even as also I am known The day's coming when I'm going to know it all. In the meanwhile, I'm just sticking with Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I'm just sticking with what He's revealed to me in that Bible. I'm just sticking with what the Holy Spirit will show me as I read my Bible rightly divided and practically applied. Back to Job chapter 26, please. These are parts of His ways in verse 14. Well, we can see some things about the Lord. Look at verse 7. He stretches out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Now, north in your Bible is up. Interestingly enough. I could show you all the references. I'm not going to take the time for it, but when Lucifer... Let's look at one. Let me just show you one. I got a bunch to show you, but let me just show you one. Go to Isaiah. Keep your finger here. We'll come right back. Isaiah 14. Isaiah 14, look at verse 13. He says this, You know what he says? In the sides of the north. That's interesting, as you start running those references and you start looking throughout your Bible, Paul's caught up to the third heaven, right? There's three heavens. There's the one right above your head, where the birds fly and the clouds are. There's a second heaven, that's where the stars are and the galaxies. And there's a third heaven, that's where God Almighty dwells. Paul said one was caught up into the third heaven, right? That's where God is. So you start looking at those different heavens and you start running the references on the sides of the north and on the throne of God and Mount Zion. And you know what you always find? That third heaven is referred to as the North. Promotion coming not from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South. You know what he leaves out? He says, but God is the judge. You know why it comes from the North? Because it's not talking about necessarily that North, it's that North. The Bible definition for North is where the Lord is. Ain't that interesting? So that's the direction every compass on earth points. Men don't have an excuse when they get before God. Not one excuse. He stretcheth out the north over what? Huh? He stretcheth out the north. Can you show me where eternity starts and stops? It doesn't. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place. What empty place? I've read this stuff to you before, but for the sake of some of these kids, I'm going to give you this again. I find this stuff super interesting, so forgive me if you don't, but I think it's helpful. It says, the empty place. Now listen to this. In the early 1990s, this is from NASA science, all right? Science.nasa.gov. In the early 1990s, one was fairly certain about the expansion of the universe. It might have been, it might have enough energy density to stop its expansion and re-collapse. They were saying the earth might stop, the universe might stop its expansion and re-collapse when they're looking at it. I find that interesting for a lot of reasons. We'll get to it in a minute. It might also have so little energy density that it would never stop expanding, but gravity was certain to slow the expansion as time went on. Granted the slowing had not been observed, but theoretically the universe had to slow. Then came 1998, the Hubble telescope, observations of very distant supernova that showed that a long time ago the universe was actually expanding more slowly than it is today. So the expansion of the universe has not been slowing due to gravity as everybody thought, it's been accelerating. No one expected this, no one knew how to explain it, but something was causing it. Eventually theorists came up with three sorts of explanations. Maybe it was a result of a long discarded version of Einstein's theory of gravity, one that contained what's called a cosmological constant. Maybe there was some strange kind of energy fluid that filled space. Maybe there's something wrong with Einstein's theory of gravity and the new theory, a new theory, would include some kind of field that creates this cosmic acceleration. Theorists still don't know what the correct explanation is, but they've given the solution a name. It's called dark energy. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee. You know what they're saying? We still don't know what it is. We don't know whether or not everything we've always thought is even right. If Einstein was even right, all we know is we don't know. They have no light. Psalm 139 and 12, the darkness hideth not from thee, but the night shineth as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee. You know what's going on out there? It's expanding, it's expanding. He said of the increase of his government is peace or be no end. We don't know why it's expanding. We don't know how it's expanding. We don't even know if what we know, we know. Brightest minds on the planet. They're telling you, we don't have a clue. We know how much dark energy there is because we know how it affects the universe expansion. Other than that, it's a complete mystery. But it's an important mystery. It turns out that roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter takes up 27%. The rest, everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all our instruments, all normal matter, adds up to less than 5% of the universe. That's even a high number, I think. Less than 5% they think they can observe. And even in that, they're just now figuring out things that was in the Bible a long time ago. Unfortunately, no one understands why the cosmological constant should even be there, much less why it would have exactly the right value to have caused the observed acceleration of the universe. Check this one out. I don't know if this is making any sense to you. Another explanation for how space acquires energy comes from the quantum theory of matter. In this theory, empty space In this theory, empty space, in quotes, he stretches out the north over what? Ain't that interesting. The oldest book in the Bible, a guy sitting on earth, where, stay with me, in this day and age, they still can't see it or tell you what it is. What they call it, is empty space, the empty place. But Job said he stretches out the north over the empty place and they're saying, they're calling it the empty place. Nowadays. Are you with me on that? How would Job have known that he stretched out the north where he dwells over the empty place if God himself hadn't told him? How would he have even been able to put it in a book? It's not possible. Because modern day scientists Still can't figure it out. It's not possible for him to have known this unless God Almighty gave it to him and he put it down in this book. And hangeth the earth upon nothing. Boy, the theories of what the earth was fastened to, my oh my, you want to have a laugh? Two elephants riding on the back of a giant turtle. Well, what was that turtle riding on? One woman said, oh, I knew you were going to go there. It kept riding on more turtles. This is stuff people believed. He says, he stretcheth out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. So the empty space is actually full of temporary virtual particles that continually form, then disappear. Now watch this. I won't continue to bore you with this forever, but watch this. When they're trying to figure out the math, the answer came out wrong. And what they said here is wrong by a lot. The actual wrong by a lot was one with 120 zeros after it. It's hard to get an answer that bad. So the mystery continues. They're evaluating their own theories, trying to figure out what's out there. And what they're saying is, when we ran the math on our own conclusions, it's really hard to be as wrong as we are. But the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach, because you named it what Job named it in that Bible, all the way back many years ago, the conviction is in your soul, it's in your conscience, it's in your spirit. And you think you know so much. Now, let me ask you a question, Christian, since you're born again. Can you tell them what's on the other side of that empty matter, of that empty space? A frozen sea of glass, right? We've seen that already as we've studied through this, right? Yeah, and what's above that frozen sea of glass? There's a throne, right? How do you see that? By the Spirit of God and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. But you still think you got all the answers? None of us do. You just got a whole lot more than they got. You got the ones that really matter because you know where you're going when you die. Amen. So they're admitting it's hard for them to be as wrong as they are. Something that fills all of space but something whose effect on the expansion of the universe is the opposite of that matter. and normal energy. Another explanation for dark energy. I should give you the first part of that sentence, it'll make more sense. Another explanation for dark energy is that is a new kind of dynamical energy or fluid, something that fills all of space, but something whose effect on the expansion of the universe is the opposite of that matter and normal energy. That's another explanation. Now come on, you're saved, you've been in your Bible, I'll stop, I'm not gonna bore you with more of this, I could go on all night. You're in your Bible. What's that Bible tell you? Whither shall I go from thy presence? Whither shall I flee from thy spirit? If I make my bed in hell, thou art there. If I ascend up into heaven, behold, thou art there. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee. The night shall be light around me. You know why? Because I got your spirit. I got you. That means if you shoot me up into outer space, I'll die pretty quick. But that doesn't matter, because I'm straight into the light, man. I'm going right through that sea of glass, and I'm going to go see my Savior. But they said something's filling it. There's an energy out there. There's something out there. That's what they're saying. They're saying something has to be out there. And the Bible's telling you He's out there. Ain't that something else? I find it cool. What did Solomon say? There was a verse I wrote in here next to a note to myself next to one of these. I want to read that verse to you. Give me one second here. 2 Chronicles 6, 1. Then said Solomon, the Lord had said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. How did Solomon know God was out there? They didn't even know that stuff was going on back then. They didn't even know. They couldn't look at that stuff. He hangeth the north over the empty place. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Watch verse 8. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them. You know, I was reading today, it looks like it wasn't until the 60s and 70s that they really started tuning into the water cycle and beginning to understand it. There was a lot of theories out there about the water cycle before that, but when they really began observing it and understanding the water cycles, That was according to the Oxford Research Encyclopedia. They said that they didn't have a real strong grasp on it until the 60s and 70s. He said, he bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them. Ain't that a wild thing how the water on the top of the water, it heats up. You go down deeper in the ocean and it's heavier, right? And you come up into the top and it heats up and the salt's heavier, the salt saves, the water evaporates, right? And it goes up, and enough it goes up, and I believe if I'm not mistaken, it gets up high enough where it gets cold again. And so it starts to condense. And then massive amounts of water condense together in clouds. And it's not rent, it's just when they get heavy enough, they just fall out again. They couldn't have known that. But it's right there in your Bible. You see, there's a whole lot more to why we believe the Bible than just because we're ignorant people of faith looking for a crutch to lean on, like somebody that leans on every crutch in the world, money, drugs, alcohol, everything else, accuses us of leaning on a crutch. Okay, you're right. You know what, though? I resent that. It's not my crutch. It's my wheelchair. It carries me everywhere I go because I got the truth under me. That's just the way I roll, amen? Look at verse 9, he holdeth back the face of his throne. Some of you got that, huh? He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. So in verse number 8, he's got a dual application. You know you'll find this a lot throughout your Bible? Dual application. Because most natural men think the way a natural man thinks without the Spirit of God in him, all they see is the natural side. But there's a spiritual side to this stuff, too. There can be a dual application to this stuff. In verse number 8, He binds up the waters in His thick clouds. Well, what happened in Genesis chapter 1? Right? In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form and void. Darkness, darkness upon the face of the deep. Now, it's important to grab a hold of this, because as we go farther into Job, we're going to show you stuff about Leviathan swimming in the deep, and the crooked serpent, and that kind of thing, so it's important to grab a hold of this. The Spirit of God moves upon the face of the deep. God divides the waters from the waters, and God says, let there be light. And there was light. And the evening and the morning are the first day, right? And so now you've got day and night. That's important for this reason in a minute. So what does He do? He holds back the face of His throne. That one-way looking glass we talked about last week. He can see what's going on. But you get up there to the top of outer space and you can't go up there and see Him. You don't get to behold that beauty. Lucifer doesn't get to go up in that throne room. He said, I'm going to go up there and I'm going to get to the sides of the north. I'm going to take that throne. He can't get through that. That says, hitherto shall thy proud waves be stayed. He spreadeth his cloud upon it. That's why we believe it's one-way looking glass. He gets on the other side of that thing and he paints whatever that junk is, he sprays it so on this side it looks black, but when he's standing on the other side he can see everything going on, he can hear everything going on, and you're sitting there going, I know they're watching me, I know they're watching me, right? With the interrogation room we talked about last week? That's heaven. Ain't it funny when you put a man in judgment and you're trying to find out how guilty he is and how bad his punishment is, without even knowing it they're mimicking the judgment of God? It's wild. Verse 10. He hath compassed the waters with bounds until the day and night come to an end. What are you talking about there? Well, it's the ocean's not OK. Yeah, sure. But look at until the day and night come to the end to an end. See that? He's put a boundary on them. He's wrapped them up. He swaddled them. They're the supernatural waters at the top of outer space where it's absolute zero and they're frozen solid. Look at verse 11, the pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. Well, that's a pretty strong verse. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. Go to Hebrews chapter one. Keep your finger here in Job. We're coming right back in a minute. We've got to be quick. Hebrews chapter one. Look at verse 10, please. And thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thine hands. They shall perish, but thou remainest. They all shall wax old as doth a garment. And as a vesture thou shalt fold them up, and they shall be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years fail not. Keeping that in mind, look at 2 Peter chapter 3. Keep going to your right, 2 Peter chapter 3. Look at verse 10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, like a nuclear explosion. And the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hastening unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." You know what he said? The heavens tremble, the pillars of heaven tremble at his reproof. He's going to melt it. He's going to explode all of it. So between us and Him, He put our own firmament. He put a universe, outer space that you can't even get through. And on top of that, He seals it up so that those principalities and powers that can get out there can't get up there all the way. And He puts a door in it. And Jesus Christ is the door. And the porter opens to Him. And any of his sheep that he'll bring through, they can come through, like dropping that fish hook through and pulling them out, like you would when you go ice fishing. He's gonna open that door, you're gonna go right in. You say, okay, exactly what does that look like? I've never seen it. The closest I've heard of it is what I've seen in the Bible, and it's, to be honest with you, the best I can do for you is through a glass darkly. See, sometimes I say things, and then later when I say them, I feel bad that I said them. I said something a couple weeks ago, I think it might have even been last week or the week before, how I got all these stupid messages out there. Remember me saying that? Anybody remember? I shouldn't have used that phrase, because I don't think they're all stupid messages. But sometimes, when you stay at it long enough, and then you listen to what you said before, you're like, wow. I mean, the more you stay in the Bible, The more you get a little bit of a fear of the Lord, the more you get a little bit of a perspective that you're looking through a glass darkly, and that you can't always and didn't always and won't always see everything super clear, there are a lot of things that I will say with absolute dogmatic certainty and won't apologize for them. Like Jesus Christ is a savior. Like the King James Bible is the infallible, inspired words of God. Like salvation's by grace through faith, plus nothing, minus nothing. It's a gift from God, a work of the Holy Spirit of God. You accept it or reject it. You reject it, you burn, you accept it, you go to heaven. No apology. Like rightly dividing is the only way to go. So yeah, I don't believe they're saving the Old Testament. There's a lot of things like that that I'm absolutely dogmatic on and won't apologize for. But there's a whole lot of other stuff in that Bible. The more I study it, the more I'm like, Run that by me again. Let me look at that again. Why? Because he's God. And I'm just a human, man. I'm so small. I'm sitting out on the backside of some galaxy somewhere. I'm less than a speck of dust on the planet that I'm on. And he loved me and gave himself for me, shed his blood for me, and has a home in heaven for me someday. And boy, I'm pretty happy about that. And then he gave me this awesome book that I get to spend the rest of my life What are you going to do when you get to the next 33 books preached through, preacher? We'll start all over again. Keep going at the same pace. It's going to take me about 16, 17 years anyhow. Maybe God will give me two more runs at it. But the best I could do would be three total if I do the math right. I don't know. I haven't really done it. I've got to do the math. See how many times it would be possible before I die. That's the plan. And I tell you this much, if I stay in this book and ask God to keep teaching me, the next time through it will be better. Stick around. Stay with us for the next 16. You know, we still got 8 to go. But let's get through it together and then let's run it again. And let's see if God doesn't show us some stuff we didn't see last time through that glass darkly and bring our focus in just a little more. It's exciting, man. I love it. I love it. Let me get moving here. I gotta wrap up. He divided the sea with His power. That's Genesis 1. He divided the waters from the waters. But that's not just supernatural because you saw it in the natural. and yet supernatural when he divided the Red Sea for them to pass over, didn't you? And you saw it with Jordan when he divided Jordan from Passover, right? So that thing has a dual application too. And by his understanding he smited through the proud. We'll come back to that. That's not going to go away because we got more coming here. Look at verse 13. By his spirit he had garnished the heavens. You know what garnish is? is to decorate. Right? Embellish. You put a little garnish on there to make those mashed potatoes look like they're not mashed potatoes. They actually look healthy when you sprinkle what looks like some herbs on top of them. You're like, oh wow, see, look. I got my greens in today. What is it there for? It's just there to make it look a little better. Just a garnish. You know what the Lord did with those stars? He made the stars also. It's all pitch black out there. And we know God's there because Solomon said he dwells in thick darkness. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee. If I make my bed in hell, thou art there. If I send her to heaven, thou art there. So we know he's there because he's omnipresent, right? And he's omniscient. He's omnipotent. He's all those things. So he's out there. And he just said, you know what? Rather than have them stare at that empty black, I'm going to just garnish it for him. And he made the stars also. Well, you got a better explanation for me than that? NASA? Got a better explanation? Smart guy? Rethinking everything you've always said about everything? Down to the very basics of gravity and gravity's effect on expansion and all the rest of that stuff. You got something better? No, you don't have anything better. He garnished the heavens. He threw them out there just like that. I walked out there yesterday morning and this morning, let the dogs out to go potty. Got my normal morning ritual, you know. Come out in the morning, I look up, man, and it's like pitch black. Kind of more countrified out there. There's not as much light. And they're just, they're everywhere. You can almost reach up and grab him. What was that? God just saying, I'll give you something to look at even when it's dark. Did you get that? Did you get that? I'll give you something to look at even when it's dark. Hey, it's a little bit of light, that's good, in the darkness. Yeah, it gets dark, Christian, sure. But you got gone. You got what you need to get you through it. His hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Well, I'm not gonna take a bunch of time on that because we'll be looking at more of that soon. But there's something about them serpents, boy. We get out there on that trail, man, and I'm telling you, them snakes start moving. You walk through those swampy areas in the summertime, and them snakes start moving, and there's some Michigan Rattlers, those Mississaugas, you know, and you see one of those things, and man, you come right out your skin. I don't care who you are. You like snakes. You're messed up, man. I mean, don't tell me because I don't want to offend you, but that's just weird stuff, boy. Them things will make you jump, you tough guy. I'll throw my wife right in front of that thing and run, amen. I'm just kidding. I wouldn't. But there's a lot to that, and you know what it is from Genesis. So this book is alive. You see them lost people walking out there and them women jump at that snake? That's a garter snake. That chipmunk was more dangerous than that garter snake. Why'd you jump like that? The word's nighty even in thy mouth and in thy heart. Thy tongue is the word of the faith which we preach. Lo, these are parts of his ways, but how little a portion is heard of him. You hear more than they do. The Spirit of God will teach you a lot of things they don't know, but don't forget there's a whole lot more to know. So don't quit. Keep coming to church. Grow in the Lord. Keep your appetite for truth. Seek more truth. Don't ever feel like you've arrived or you've gotten to the point in life where you don't need to learn more. Keep a teachable spirit, because the Spirit of God is supposed to be our teacher. All right, let's close in prayer. Father, we love you tonight. We thank you for this book. Thank you for writing it for us. And God, I pray you'd give us understanding in it and help our faith in this Bible, Lord, to grow and our faith in you to grow. Thank you for your power. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for saving us. We ask you to get us home safe tonight. Dismiss us with your blessing. And we ask you for a good day this Sunday. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
