How many's glad that you're saved in the house of God? Amen. I'm glad that I know, that I know, that I know that I'm born again. Amen. And we're so thankful in that tonight to be able to stand and proclaim what Jesus has done for us. And we thank the Lord for that tonight and for His many blessings. Just the fact to be able to be called a child of God. Amen. And so we're so thankful for that tonight. And we just want to praise Him for all that He's done for us. How many can praise Him tonight? and say that He's been better than good, and that to you. Amen? He has. He's been better than good to us, and we're so thankful for that. If you have your Bibles tonight, we're going to go into I Peter, I Peter, and that in chapter number 1, I Peter chapter number 1, Amen. You can just overlook that smoke alarm or whatever that is that's going off. Amen. I don't know if you heard it, but I heard it. And it was going off the other day. I think the batteries were running low, so you can just overlook that tonight, okay? So 1 Peter chapter number 1, and we'll begin reading in verse number 1. If you have the word of God tonight, I invite you to stand with us just for a moment. And I want to share a thought with you that I just have not been able to get away from this week. And I want to trust the Lord that He's got it all in control. You can ask Haley that I struggle. I made her drive down here tonight. And I've been pleading with the Lord, Brother Sam, and I've been trying my best to get hooked up. And so I want you just to pray for us tonight. and we'll do the very best we can with the help of God tonight. 1 Peter chapter number 1 and verse number 1 it says, And Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers that scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bethany, elect according to the foreknowledge of God, and that of the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, under the obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, Grace unto you and peace be multiplied. I want to say, my goodness, what a greeting, amen, that the Apostle Peter has laid out right here this evening. But look what he says as he goes on. In verse number 3 it says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And verse number four says, and to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that fadeth not away reserved in heaven for you. In verse number 5, he goes on and he says, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed, and that in the last time. In verse number 6, we'll read this and we'll pray. wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. Let's read one more verse. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory, at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Let us pray. Father, we thank You tonight. God, for another privilege, another great opportunity, Lord, that You've given us to come to Thine house. God, to bow this unworthy head, Father, and to thank you, God, and that for all that you have done, and that for me. Father, I thank you. Father, for our church, I thank you, Father, for the lively hope that we have through the resurrection of the one whose name is Jesus, and it's only by his name, there's no other name under heaven, and that whereby a man must be saved. And Father, I thank you tonight, God, that I know in my heart of hearts that I have been born again. Father, I thank you tonight that I have a no-soul salvation. Father, that I know about it, and I'm proud of it. Father, I thank you this morning, or this evening, God, for your bountiful blessings. And God, as we've broke forth the bread of life tonight here, Father, I ask you that you'd give us clarity of mind. Father, that you'd give us clarity of speech. And God, tonight, that you'd help us. Lord, fill us with your Spirit. Father, and I pray, Lord, that you'd empty us of ourself, and Father God, I pray, Lord, that you'd help us, God, in that to preach. Father, for we cannot do it on our own, Father, we need you, and God, I pray that you bless every individual that's in this house tonight, and God, we'll praise you. In Jesus' name, and all God's children said, Amen, and Amen. First Peter, and then in verse number three and verse number four, And verse number five is where we wanna look at tonight, just to take a text or a thought. The Bible said, let me read it one more time to you. It said, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy, how many's glad that he has abundant mercy tonight? hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, and by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I'm thankful tonight that I have a lively hope through His resurrection, through the power that was displayed and was brought and that before mankind, when Jesus, and that busted forth from the dead, and that rolled back the stone, amen, and made it a way possible that me and you could sit here tonight, and that a man saved and sanctified and sealed under the day of redemption. Verse number four says, and that, listen what he goes on to say, and that to an inheritance, incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away. Boy, I like that tonight. And he sums it all up, that we have an inheritance. I'm glad tonight that as a child of God, we have a benefit package, amen? I'm thankful dear friend that one of these days we're going to cash all in and we're going to receive the entirety of those benefits. We have an inheritance as a child of God. And dear friend, he goes on and he says that it's not It's incorruptible, it's not corruptible. The Bible says that we must put off corruption and put on the incorruption. And so He said that it's incorruptible, it's undefiled, and that it fadeth not away. Now that's simple tonight, that I believe anybody can understand. It does not fade away, it does not run out. Friends, you can't blot it out, you can't mark it out, but praise God, it is always there for all eternity. He said, and it's reserved in heaven for you. Peter said, I want to let you know something, that you have a promise, dear friend, and that tonight, and I want to say that in 2021, and that it's time that we start holding on to the promises of God. I believe a lot of people let those promises kind of slip by the wayside in 2020 and say, oh, where's God now? But friend, I want you to know this, for those that are saved, friend, God, and that is for you. The Bible said if He's for you, who can be against you? Thank God tonight that He is for us, and friend, He is always there. and that He cares for us tonight. So He says, I want to let you know, and He said, I just want to exalt on Jesus, but then I want to remind you that through Jesus and through His resurrection, child of God, you have an inheritance. You have something that's far greater than what this world has to offer you. How many's glad tonight, dear friend, that the inheritance laid up for you in glory is much greater than what's in your bank account? Oh, the inheritance that's laid before us One day after all, dear friend, oh my goodness, this world cannot even begin to match, or cannot even begin to contend with what Jesus has prepared for him. The Bible said, oh my goodness, tonight, friend, the things that God will do for those who love Him, Friend, tonight I'm glad that God thinks enough about me. And I want you to think about that real quick. And that God don't owe us anything. Friend, that we don't deserve anything. But yet God has gave us everything. Amen? And tonight I'm thankful that through the Lord Jesus Christ, tonight I want to talk about an inheritance. I begin to think about this week, friend, of the inheritance of God. And a lot of times, friend, we think about and we say, well, we just don't elaborate on it. But friend, we say, oh, we've got heaven. and we got the streets of gold, the walls of Jasper, which the Bible says that our eyes will behold one day after a while. I don't know about you tonight, friend, but I cannot even imagine the beauty and splendor of that place called heaven. I cannot even begin to fathom tonight, Brother Sam, what it's gonna be like when we get into that Canaan's fire land. I can't even begin to exhort or even scratch the surface tonight on what heaven is going to be like. But I want you to see what he said. He said, an inheritance incorruptible and defiled and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. Friend, I don't want to so much elaborate. and that on the streets of gold. Boy, I'm thankful one day that one of these days, Brother Billy, my eyes will look down, and that upon the street that I walk on, and the Bible said it'll be as transparent glass, and at that purest of gold, we'll see the walls of Jasper. Think about this tonight, friend, we'll see in that, the field, the old song says, and that stroll through the fields of green clover, A friend I don't know about you will see the flowers of glory bloom and that in her season a friend will see that precious river of life and that flowing and the Bible said proceeding out of the throne of God. We'll see there by the river. Are you with me tonight? Just bear with me. We'll see there by the river child of God. that they'll be the tree of life, a friend that will have the Bible set, and that produce her fruit, and that in her do season, a friend I want to say unto you tonight, that the beauty and the splendor of glory, I cannot even begin, to paint the picture, and that of what it's going to be like, and that for you in heaven. Friend, I know this for a fact, friend, that we will, those that's been saved, somebody needs to help me tonight, for those that have been saved and sanctified, washed in the crimson blood, and that born again, Hallelujah, friend, we will receive the promise that one day we will enter through the gates of that city. The Bible said that the gates will never be shut, amen, because there ain't gonna be anything to defile. There'll not be anything to try to tear down, amen? Friend, I want you to see this. Friend, the beauty of that place. I can't even begin to describe to you what your mansion might look like. Friend, I don't know what stone that the Lord has placed, Brother Dave, for my mansion. I've heard people say that I just want a little old cabin down by the creek. But friend, I want to give you a reality check. That is not Scripture. The Lord said He'd give you a mansion. Amen? So I want you to bear with us in that for just a moment. And I want to elaborate on our inheritance. Friend, I want to let you know first thing this evening. Friend, there are bodies in this life. Friend, they fail us. Friend, and these are just some things God's given me through this week that I begin to think about. I think about the sickness that has plagued this world that we live in. Friend, I've thought about and at all the things that come before us physically, and mentally, and spiritually. Friend, I begin to think about the day-to-day, and that battle that we fight, and that here upon this earth. Friend, I don't know about you, but sometimes I wake up in the morning and I'm a young man. but sometimes I wake up in the mornings and friend, my body just does not want to do what I want it to do. Friend, my back's stiff. Friend, sometimes I'm so tired that I can't hardly even see straight. But friend, I'll tell you this tonight, as I begin to think about, oh listen, how these bodies will fail us. Friend, how these things will wear out. I begin to think about the inheritance. Friend, I don't know about you tonight, but I'm looking forward to one day after a while putting on a glorified body. And I want to say, dear friend, they can say what they want to. They can say they're wearing their converse shoes. And at the heaven of a friend, I'm going to tell you tonight, friend, I'm going to be clothed up. and not in a robe that's whiter than snow. Honey, I ain't gonna need no shoes. Praise God, because honey, I'll not have to worry about freeing the filth of this world, being over fire, and not in that land. of glory, a friend, and I want to say to you tonight, a friend, as I begin to think about that inheritance and that God brought these thoughts to my mind, a friend, how many of us get sick and tired of this flesh? I don't know about you tonight, but I battle it, I fight it, a friend, my flesh wars against me, A friend, my sin rise up in my flesh. A friend, I got good news. And I'm not gonna be long tonight at all. But I've got good news from a far country. That somebody needs to be reminded. A friend, hey. That no matter what our bodies face. And no matter what we experience in this earthly body. Praise God, Jesus went down. And he was buried in a tomb. and he arose on the third day, and he ascended to the right hand, a sign of God, a friend that won these days. Some of us may go by the grave, some of us may lift up through the air, but friend, no matter what, friend, we're down here, and one day we'll be brought up there, and friend, in that moment, in the twinkling of an eye, friend, I'll be transformed and translated, freeing from this flesh into a bright new glorified body. Amen. I don't know about you, but that excites me. And I'm going to have to receive that glorified body if I want to be in the presence of God. I want you to say tonight, friend, that we'll have to receive that glorified body, a friend, in order to even stand before His throne. but let me give you some destinations, and that concerning a part of an inheritance. God took me to some people, and that in the word of God, a friend whose bodies, and that were transformed on this earth, but honey, listen, one of these days, they're gonna be made greater than they was ever made, and that upon this earth, now don't get me wrong, what God done was great, but friend, he ain't done yet, amen? So I want you to see tonight that in the book of Matthew, and I want you to go with us if you would, in the book of Matthew, and that in chapter number nine, Matthew chapter number nine tonight in the word of God, we find in that roundabout verse number 24, a friend in Matthew 9 and 24, a friend we find, let's move down to verse number 25. And the Bible said, but when the people were put forth, and that he went in and he took her by the hand and the maid arose. Now, that's not what I want to focus on. God had done a great work there, but look, there was two men that was there in verse number 27. In verse number 26, the Bible said that the fame of that woman who was healed went abroad in all the land. And when Jesus departed thence, listen now, in verse number 27 and nine of Matthew, it said, and when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying and saying, thou son of David, have mercy on us. In verse number 28 in the Bible said, And when he was come into his house, that the blind man came to him, and Jesus said unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this. And they said unto him, Yea, Lord. And that they believed. In verse number 29, It said, then he touched their eyes, and saying, according to your faith, be it unto you. And their eyes were opened, and Jesus straightly charged them, saying that, see, that no man knoweth. Friend, he was wanting to keep it, and that quiet, and that for the time being. But friend, what Jesus done that day was a miracle, and that in those boys' lives. Friend, he opened their blinded eyes, This is not the only account in the Word of God where Jesus physically, and that touched the eyes of the blind, and their eyes were opened. Friend, we find the blind man, and I ain't got time to go there, but just listen to me closely. The blind man was there, dear friend, and we find that as he came before Jesus, and Jesus came before him, that Jesus stooped down upon the ground, and he's spitting that into the dirt, and he took his fingers, and he began to work and massage that dirt, and that into a fine clay, and he reached up, dear friend, and he touched the man on the eyes, he rubbed the clay upon his eyes, and he said, now go and wash thyself, and that in the pool of Shalom, and friend, there he was. He waded on down to the waters, and friend, he got down there in the mist. And dear friend, I don't know about you tonight, and what your belief system is, but I don't believe he just dunked his head in. But honey, I believe he started at his feet. and he walked on in to the waters that day. A friend in the Bible said that when he arose up out of the waters, and had a friend, he began to see things that he had never seen before. And that friend, he seen the outlines of trees. And friend, the first thing that he seen clearly, I believe with all of my heart, and somebody needs to help me. Was he seeing Jesus standing there that day? A friend, they asked him, and at all, what happened to you? You look like that man who was blind? But now you can see. And he told them there was a man down there. who opened my eyes. Friend, I don't know about you tonight, but there's one thing, friend, that we're going to receive. Friend, on the other side of glory, we're going to receive a glorified set of eyes. Friend, that are sometimes often in this walk of life blind. and friend, almost to the point of friend where we just ignore and we walk in a daze of a friend one of these days after a while. If your eyes have been spiritually opened and that to the good grace of God and the blood shed on Calvary, then one day when you enter in and you hear the words, enter in my good and faithful servant that I tell you tonight, blessed be his holy name. that in that moment Sister Faye will enter in and there will receive a glorified set of eyes that's been touched by the master's hand and friend there with those eyes will receive the sight of being able to feast our eyes. Our eyes are on the prize and that is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. We'll see Jesus. That'll be the first thing we see. Hey, when we received those new eyes, that boy jumped up out of the water and he looked around and he said, oh my goodness, there stood a man. And it wasn't just any man, Billy McElrath, but it was Jesus. Changed his life! Rearrange this whole being. And friend, today I want to say, friend, thank God that in heaven there'll not be any blind eyes. Amen! You may say, well that's a funny way of putting inheritance. But friend, thank God that there'll not be one eye that's blind. over in heaven. Boy, I'm tired of making somebody shout, amen? Because I'm telling you, I don't know about you, but how I long each and every day more to see my Savior. We preach that to you Sunday, seeing a risen Savior. Friend, I'm glad that these physical eyes, and that they'll be, fleshly eyes will be gone, Sam, and there he'll be. we'll see him as he is. Amen? Oh, I don't know what that does for you tonight, but friend, I'm telling you that when we see him there, friend, and he pulls up that chair to the supper table, and he serves us, and he fellowships with us, and then we're all ushered in, we said of our Sunday night, we're all ushered in there around the throne, and friend there he'll step off from the right hand side and there we'll see him crowned king of kings. Do you hear me? I said we'll see. We will see him crowned king of kings, Lord of lords. He'll be that alpha and omega that he said that he was over in Revelation chapter number one. Friend, we will see him as he is when they put the staff in his hand and the sash across his chest and the crown on his head. And friend, he steps forth. And friend, I will sing a song that the holy angels can't even sing. And we'll see it all take place. by the way of the inheritance of a glorified eye. How about that tonight? Amen, boy, I'm telling you what. Boy, if you could talk to them two blind boys today, I believe they'd tell you, friend, that what Jesus done that day was a miracle. But friend, when they got to glory and they seen him in another brand new perspective, friend, I want to tell you tonight, friend, thank God for the moment when our eyes will behold the Lamb. Amen! Amen! And friend, I want to say that not only will there be an inheritance of a brand new seeing, now this may be different, but friend, I want to say there will be a brand new way of walking. And friend, I want to say tonight that some people struggle in this walk of life to walk physically, There's a lot that struggles spiritually of being able to walk. Let me take you tonight to another destination. And tonight in Acts chapter number 3, In verse number, let me just go ahead and start in verse number one. I'm trying to hurry tonight, but I've got one more destination out of this, and if you pray harder, I'll get done quicker, amen? The Bible said in verse number one of chapter three of Acts, now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer and being in the ninth hour. There was a certain man who was lame from his mother's womb. This man had never put a foot to the ground. and been able to walk upright. He was lame from the moment he was born. And we find, dear friend, that there he lay daily at the gate of the temple, which was called Beautiful, and that to ask of alms to them that entered into the temple. And who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked of alms. And Peter looked over at him, and he fastened his eyes on him, and that with John, and he said, Look on us, and that, and he gave him heed, and that unto them expecting to receive something of them. And then Peter, the man of God, looked over, and he said, hey, son, he said, I ain't got no silver. He said, I ain't got no gold. He said, but such as I have, I'll give to thee. He said, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And the Bible said in verse number seven that he took him by the right hand, and he lifted him up, and immediately, and at his feet, and his ankle bones received strength, and he looked what he'd done, bless God. The Bible said that he leaped up and stood, and he walked, and he entered in with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. Honey, I don't know about you. Friend, I don't know what your walk is right now. I don't know how it's going, but I'll say bless God. One of these days, when we enter in, that to that inheritance, that he's prepared for us in heaven, friend, there'll be a brand new hitch in your giddy up. Honey, there'll be a brand new step in your walk. You'll be walking a whole lot lighter. and that there'll be not as much heaviness on you, friend, it'll be as if you're floating in the clouds, honey, but you'll be walking in glory. And friend, I say unto you tonight, praise God that when we do walk down those streets of gold and down by the crystal river, friend, we walk up and that there to the throne room of God and we see there's that sea we can't only see but bless God we can walk and thank God that those legs he'll give us to stand on and that day thank God we'll be able to kneel down upon those knees. Amen! We'll be able to kneel down on the knees of the glorified legs that Jesus will give us one day after a while. If I could talk to my dear Memo, Bertha Sue Harris tonight, couldn't hardly walk in the latter parts of her life, and because of poor circulation, her arteries were so corroded, Everything was going wrong with her body. If I could just see ma'am all right now, Brother Dave. She's strolling down through Hallelujah Square. Friend, she's walking up. Judy, can you hear me all right tonight? She's strolling around the streets of glory. Friend, I'll say, she's seeing things in a brand new perspective. Friend, she's walking hand in hand with the Savior tonight. Friend, if we could talk to that old boy. that laid there by the gate of beautiful. Tonight, I believe he'd tell you that them legs he got that day, oh, honey, they was good. Yes, it was a miracle. But if you could talk to him right now, in this moment, in this hour, he'd say, oh, it's worth it, child. You keep walking down here because one day when you start walking up there, it'll be worth it. Do you hear me tonight? It might be Wednesday night. I might be tore up, but thank God, one day I'm gonna walk in glory. One day I'm gonna walk hand in hand with Jesus. Do you hear me tonight? I'm gonna walk with Jesus one day. Amen. I don't know what that does for you. But friend, I thank God. Amen, I laid. And that for six months on my backside, a friend scared to death if I was ever gonna be able to walk right again after my back surgery. And friend, I remember that moment fast. And that when I laid in that hospital bed and the nurse stood there by the bedside. I said, I gotta use the restroom, ma'am. And she said, well, you can get up and go. And I said, no, you don't understand. I've not walked in three months. You don't understand. I need a walker to get to the bathroom. I need my wife on my side. I need help. And she said, no, sir. You don't need none of that stuff now. I said, no, I need pain medication. I need something to help me to get to where I'm going. And she said, no, sir. She said, you don't need it no more. I don't know about you tonight. But honey, I can praise him. Up one down, up one down the other. And I can rejoice over my Jesus. For in knowing that I may have struggled in this walk. But thank God, one day after a while, I'll not struggle again, amen. I'll not struggle no more, amen. because Jesus gonna give me new legs. Old Forrest Gump said, I've got new legs. Honey, he don't even know what it meant. Hey man, one day after a while, hey man, we're gonna get a new set of legs and we're gonna be walking hand in hand, strolling and at the city of God and that with new glorified legs, seeing everything that is in store and a part of our inheritance. This is different tonight. I know you can look at me funny if you want to. I'm having a good time in the Lord tonight. Amen. Amen. I'm gonna walk with him one of these days. Amen, it's good to walk with him here, Brother Skip. Amen! But boy, what it's gonna be like, Sam, to walk with him over there. Honey, Brother Sam, you can take that old walking cane. Honey, they can go ahead, when you get up there in a judgment, and he looks over and says he's saved, he's sealed, the blood's applied. Honey, you can go ahead and take that walking cane and cast it off into hell. Honey, cause we ain't gonna need it anymore! I said, bless the name of God tonight, friend, Jesus will help us walk. Hey, man, I'm telling you, I can't even, at least I can't even begin to preach this the way God truly wants it preached, but I'm telling you tonight, I'd love to try, amen? And I tell you tonight, friend, that I'm glad one of these days after a while, I'm gonna leap up That man, he calls me by name. And that Judy, I'm going to leap up. If I'm in the ground, I'm going to leap up out of there. If I'm standing behind this pulpit, honey, look out, I'm leaping on out of here. And I'm going to leap up. I'm going to shout and rejoice. And I'm going to sing praises to the God of all of heaven that has given me the inheritance. Have you ever thought about it like that? I don't know, it's wrecked my world this week. I take for granted of this right here. Hey man, I'll never forget when I stepped off the side of that bed, that woman said, go ahead. I rolled them legs off the side of the bed and I went like this. I was standing like this and she said, go ahead. I stood right up and tears run down my cheeks and I said, are you gonna help me? She said, you don't need no help. Dave, I might need some help down here every now and then to walk spiritually, physically. But honey, when I get over there, when you get over there, amen, we're not going to need help from nobody else because Jesus is going to take us by the hand, church. Come on. Do you hear me all right? He's going to take us by the hand. Amen! And friend, He's going to lead us right on into glory. He's going to walk us up a street of gold, honey. He's going to show me and you our mansion right there. Amen! She said, I've spent all my life here on this earth with you. What makes you think I want to live in the same mansion with you in glory? And amen, I hope He gives us a twin size bed, honey. Amen! But friend, I tell you what, praise God, and I hope he puts me in a mansion there next to Dave Bledsoe, because honey, I ain't gonna need to sleep, or I'd be worried about it, because Dave's gonna be over there hollering and shouting, amen tonight. Friend, and I tell you what, friend, I'm just here Benny Watson, and I'm over there singing, praise God, I can hear Judy over there on the piano. Honey, I can see Brother Sam with that glorified arm. Praise God, beating on that guitar. Honey, and I can hear our voices already singing and praising the Lamb of God tonight. Hallelujah. I said bless his name tonight. Amen. You can get uncomfortable if you want to. Amen. Amen. But I tell you what, I just want to praise Him for a little while. I said He's worthy. He's worthy. He's worthy. He's worthy of all our praise tonight. Amen. Somebody said the spirit of God can't fall on Wednesday night service. Amen, just hold on honey, buckle up your seat. Because if the children of God tonight had get excited about our inheritance, while we don't deserve it yet, we're gonna get it. Praise his name. I thank him tonight. I praise him. because He's worthy. He's worthy. Tonight of all of our praise. I've got one more destination I'm going to hush tonight. Amen. Oh, I feel good tonight in the Lord's house. Amen. I want to show you tonight in Luke chapter number 8. Amen. I was sitting there in a boat today. And I was checking the radio system, and I was checking the speakers, and all of a sudden there was just a hush came across that station. And I thought, well, I've got a wire loose, or I've got to troubleshoot and try to figure out what it is that's going wrong on that thing. So I began to look and I began to wonder what was wrong with it. And honey, that's what a lot of our problem is. And that today as we look and look and try to figure out what the problem is with something, and that when reality is, it's right there in front of us, all we gotta do is address it and get it right, amen? And so as I began to look at that thing, I never thought once to try another radio station. I just thought, well maybe because this one ain't working, a friend of the rest of them ain't working. And so I began to dig around in there and I had a big bundle of wires, Billy, ripped loose out of the engine bed. And I had all these things and that undone. And I was trying to troubleshoot and find out what the problem was. And then David, my late tester, that I get the boat ready for, he peaks his head over the top of the boat. over the side of the boat, and he says, Cody, what in the world are you doing? And I said, well, I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with this boat. And he said, well, has it ever occurred to you that maybe you're on the wrong station? And I said, well, no, I didn't really think about it. I'm getting somewhere with this. Hold on. But friend there, And then I reached over and I maxed the next button on that. And honey, it was just as clear. It was just as presentable as anything you've ever heard. And friend, as I began to think about that, God landed us over in Luke chapter 8. And I began to think about a Gadarean man that was there loosed in the tombs. Honey, they didn't care what was wrong with him. They wasn't worried about why he was mad. But friend, they was just concerned with putting him away, solving the problem temporary. Maybe he'd die in amongst the tombs. The Bible said there he was running naked. Friend, I'm not going to read it all. I've got to hurry tonight. But friend, there he was running wild, half crazed, naked in the cemetery. And friend, they never paid him no mind. They put shackles on his hands and fetters around his legs. Friend, they tried to tame him, but they never had even thought of what the problem might have been. Honey, I'll tell you what. They can say he's crazy. They can call that Gadarean man who was called Legion there for a short time. He was called Legion because he had a legion of demons in him. But honey, they didn't want to recognize the problem. But friend, they just wanted to sell him away. That way they didn't have to look at him or fool with him. But honey, one day, there by the seashore, there was a boat rolled into dock, honey, and there was some precious cargo. I don't know if I can get through it or not. But he stepped off that boat, a friend, and he stepped off, and out on the seashore, and the first thing he did was look up there in the tombs. There was that man by the name of Legion, running wild, and then here comes Jesus. All of a sudden his problem had been figured out and his problems was about to be fixed. Now hold on, bear with me just a second and I'll be done. Amen, look at this. The Bible said in verse number 27, chapter number eight of Luke, oh hallelujah, He said, and when he went forth to the land, there met him out of the city a certain man, and that which had devils a long time, and wear no clothes, and neither abode, and that in any house, but in the tombs. And verse number 28, when he saw Jesus, he cried out, and he fell down before him, and with a loud voice, he said, Jesus! Hold on now. He said, what have I to do with thee? Jesus, thou son of God, most high. Now they said he was crazy. They said he was out of his mind. But honey, for some reason, he knew who Jesus was. Somehow, he knew the son of God. You tell me how in the world he knew who Jesus was. I'll tell you how he knew. Because even the devils know who Jesus is. And at the name of Jesus, they have to tremble and fall to his feet. But honey, look at this. He said, in the most high, He said, I beseech thee, please Lord, torment me not. Now look what happens. In verse number 29, I'm trying to hurry. He said, for He had commanded, look, He had commanded of the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him, and he was kept bound in chains and fetters, and he broke the bands, and he was driven of the devil into the wilderness. In verse number 30, Jesus asked him, He said, What is thy name? He done knew his name. Honey, his name wasn't Legion neither. But honey, he was possessed with a legion of devils. He said, Legion because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he had not command them to go out into the deep. and there was there a herd of swine feeding in the mountain, and they besought Him that He would suffer them to enter into them. And He suffered them, and they went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine, and the herd ran violently down a steep place. into the lake, and were choked. And when they had fed, they saw that what was done, and they fled, and they went and told it in the city and the country. Now listen, in verse 35, and when they went out to see what was done, and came to Jesus, and they found the man, and that out of whom the devils were departed, he was sitting, and that at the feet of Jesus, hold on, honey, he was sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed in His right mind. He was clothed in His right mind. And, honey, I want to say the world might be afraid of those that experience the change of Christ, of the conversion of Christ. But, honey, tonight I want to say don't be scared of the power and demonstration of the Holy One because tonight, honey, when the demons We'll lay at night and rest and try to feed on the weak. Honey, one of these days after a while, honey, those that will come to Jesus and sit at his feet, thank God, we might get troubled here. They may cause us to lose sleep here, but praise God. over in glory. Honey, there'll not be no more night for the demons to feast and lurk. Honey, there'll be no more night for you to cry and worry yourself sick. There'll be no more night because the Bible said Jesus, the Lamb, the Son of God is the light of that city. Somebody better holler eight money. Amen. I can't see you right now for all the sweat in my eyes, but I'll tell you this, I guarantee you, honey, if you're fighting demons here, honey, you'll not have to fight them no more over there. Amen! Honey, depression will be wiped out. Honey, that mind problems will be wiped out. Honey, I want to tell you, a friend that's deluded, a mind Satan will give you that'll make you think sin's a good time will be wiped out. Go ahead and shout. My sin will be gone for eternity. Jesus will let me sit at His feet and I'll be clothed in white. Amen. Hallelujah. I might just shout if that's all right. You and me. be clothed in the right mind. Amen. And friend, I want to say that Satan's stronghold will be broke. I love to hear old John Dorsey get tore up and stand behind the pulpit of God and say, my sins are gone. My sins are gone. My sins are gone. My trouble is depleted. My hard time is vanished. Amen. Amen. My stinking rotten distorted mind that the devil likes to push buttons and try to rearrange will be forever set on the side. I can see him. I can walk to him and therefore I can sit down at his feet and be in my right mind. Amen. Praise His Holy Name! Hallelujah! Praise His Holy Name! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! Glory to God! Hey man, I'm glad ain't none of you's got up and left yet. I wish there was about 2,000 people sitting here. Hey man, they could find out that there's a whole lot He's a whole lot more to gain than he is to lose. Skip, can you hear me all right, buddy? You hear me all right? Hallelujah! I'm trying to close, buddy. Come on. I'll be able to walk. I'll be able to see. Boy, I could go on and on tonight. At least two hours, three hours, four hours worth of preaching. It could be done on what God is going to do through a glorified body. An inheritance. Hallelujah. Tonight I want to give you good news from a far country church. COVID is running rapid. Peoples are sick and dying. Plague going to cross the land. You can call it what you want to, it's a plague is what it is. And the Bible says in the last days there will be plagues on the land. Come on now. Pestilence. Look tight honey, it's right here. But you look up in here and if you don't hear nothing else the preacher says tonight, God's for you. He sent His Son to save you. And tonight, honey, if you're saved, I'm saved. I'm saved. Dave, can you hear me? I'm saved. Can I get on this loud phone just real quick? Judy, is that alright? I'm saved. Billy McElrath, I'm saved, I'm saved, I'm saved. to the uttermost. That's what I am. I've been washed in the blood by the Lamb. Tonight I want to leave you with this. Your body may fail you in this walk of life. Go ahead and play softly for us. Life may get hard. Stand to your feet across the house If I had enough gas to run, I'd probably go ahead and run me a lap. Amen. But tonight, with heads bowed and eyes closed, God is big in this place tonight. I want to stir up your remembrance, as Paul told Timothy. I want to stir up the gift of God by the remembrance of the Langhorn in my hands. And I want to remind you that it ain't over yet. Preacher, I don't know how many more miles I can walk. I don't know how much longer I can keep my eyes and my sight seeing on the prize. I don't know how much longer I can take the abuse that Satan has laid in my lot. Let me tell you something tonight, child. The Bible said, greater is he who lives within you than he who lives within the world. And the Bible says, I love the Bible tonight. That whom the Son has set free Glory, glory, glory, glory. There's a glory cloud hanging over you tonight. Whom the Son has set free is free indeed. Indeed. Heads are bowed, eyes are closed. Look over at your neighbor and say, you're free tonight. You're free. Glory to God. You're free in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because you're free, you've been given a gift, an inheritance. a benefit package. And on the front of that label, it says, Child of the King. And right now it's setting and it's a drawn interest. Right now it's setting and it's just a building up. And you're wanting to tell people about Jesus and you're witnessing and you're doing all these things, but you're saying, Preacher, I'm getting mighty tired. Now honey, hold on. Because one day after a while, there's going to be a book open. It'll be called the Lamb's Book of Life. I want heads bowed, eyes closed, and I want you to picture this with me now. And as the Lamb of God stands, the righteous judge, the Bible says. And He rolls back the pages of the blessed book. And He scrolls through name after name after name after name. And He finds your name written in red. There in that moment, He's going to say, alright, now all those years of work, all those years of laboring, all those years of walking through turmoil and trouble and temptation, here's your retirement. Here's your retirement. And He's going to say, enter in my good and faithful servant. And when you enter into the splendors and glories of God, and you walk up and you stand before that throne that day and we stand in that heavenly choir together, I want you to try to picture this now. And there's the Lamb of God in the midst. I hope somebody will remember and I don't know what it's going to be like. I can't imagine. But I hope somebody looks over and shouts real big and says, Honey, wasn't it worth it? Hey, wasn't it worth it? You up there singing bass in the back, ain't you glad it was worth it? Ain't you glad it'll be worth it? When one day after a while, you receive your inheritance. They're going to sing a verse of a song tonight. If you need to shout, you shout. If you need to cry a while, go ahead and cry a while. If you need to get on the altar and pray and thank God and praise Him for a while, then just go ahead and do that too. Because tonight I'm saying this to you in closing. Jesus is coming soon. And with Him, He brings your inheritance. As they sing a verse or song tonight, I'm done. Hallelujah.
