24th of July, 2025, David Macareth, 4pm, Kidderminster. Father, I pray for this town again. I pray that you'd have mercy upon this town. Father, I pray that you'd move here by your Holy Spirit in great power. Father, I pray that you would bring conviction of sin. I pray that people would weep and lament and mourn over their sins and cry out, what must I do to be saved? I pray that people will be born again to everlasting life. I pray, Father, that your salvation would be found in great measure in this town once more. Melt the hard hearts, Lord, break the resistance to your word. Open eyes, open hearts, open minds to the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, glorify your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, here and save souls. Have mercy upon England, Father. Oh Lord God, I pray that you would turn the tide here. And Father, I pray that you would help me now and fill me with your Spirit and give me utterance and give me strength of heart and mind to preach the Gospel. I pray that the work will be done for your glory and honour. These things I ask and pray in Jesus' precious name. Amen. Well, good afternoon. It's my privilege once again to be here to preach the gospel, to speak of the Lord Jesus Christ, to speak up for the truth, to say that there is salvation in no other name but in the name of Jesus, that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for sinners, that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost, that's you and me, sinners who have broken God's commandments, sinners who are guilty before Almighty God, sinners who are powerless to save ourselves, sinners who need salvation, sinners who need to know the mercy of God and the kindness of God and the salvation that comes from God through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. If you are without Jesus Christ, you are without God and without hope. If you do not know Jesus Christ, the wrath of God remains upon you because of your sins. But if you find Jesus Christ, you will find the salvation that comes from Almighty God. Now, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ is God the Son. And the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost. Sinners just like you and me, Now, I want to ask a question today from Psalm 8 in the Old Testament. Psalm 8, first verse, verse 1, O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory above the heavens. And then the last verse of that Psalm, Psalm 8, O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, the God of glory, the God who made the universe, the God who made the stars, the galaxies, the planets, the moons, the God who made the earth, the God who made the nations, the God who made the animals and the plants, the God who made mankind in His own image. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth! God's name is excellent. He is the God who has made the heavens and the earth, but we read here in Psalm 8 that God has set his glory above the heavens. You see, people worship nature, they worship the earth, they call it Gaia, they worship idols, they worship the creature more than the creator. But God has set his glory above the heavens. God is not like anything created or anything made with hands. The Bible talks about those who fashion idols. What they do is they take a piece of wood and they carve it into an idol. And with the rest of that wood, they cook up some food and they warm themselves and say, aha, I am warm. And then they fall down and worship that piece of wood. But I suppose if they are wealthier, they'll make their gods out of silver or out of gold and fall down before them. The Bible says they that worship them are like them. It says, confounded be all those that worship idols. Well, do you know what I'm doing here? Yeah, I do. Okay, so I'm listening to you. Sorry, you've got a weapon in your hand. It's okay. I'm listening to you. I'm a pastor of a church. Okay, right. Okay. What church? Revival Fires in Deadly. Okay. Oh, you're the people who have angels wandering around in your services. That's right. Let me tell you this. Well, that's folly. The good news, to be good news, must sound like good news. Well, Mr. Pastor, if it doesn't sound like good news, you're not telling the people what the good news is. What's the gospel? The gospel is good news. Watch it. You were just waving a weapon at me a second ago. You were, you were being aggressive and the people can hear for themselves that you're being aggressive and pointing a sharp instrument at me. I've got a question. I've got a question for you. I'm standing in a public place. I've got a question for you. You're the pastor of Revival Fires. Where's the love in your heart? Where are you showing that? Don't point that thing at me. My finger isn't sharp and it's not made out of metal. Right, that's better. Now then, let's have a proper conversation. If you're a pastor, and if you have the Holy Spirit of God, let's see the gentleness in your heart. I'm listening to you. I'm walking by, and let me tell you, the good news needs to sound like good news. What you're saying is, to say that they're rotten sinners going to hell, and that God is angry with them, may be the truth, but it's not good news. When you're a pastor, you are required by God to teach the whole word of God, not to water it down, not to change it. If you do not preach about hell, you are not preaching the gospel. Who said I'm not preaching about hell? Well, you're telling me not to. You're telling me that I shouldn't preach on these things. You're telling me they need to hear good news. They need to hear about a God who is merciful, a God who is gracious, a God who is full of favour. That's what they need to hear. And you're telling them that they're going to go to hell. These angels that wander around your congregation, they're demons. Do you know that? Are you so blind that you can't see that? Move away, can you? Can you not see that? Because I am getting frustrated with you. Is that a threat? Is that a threat? You came after me, you came after me. Those angels are demons. I bet you have feathers floating down from the ceiling of your building. Who said that? Well, I've read about the revival fires, I know where it is, I know where it is in Dudley. Have you been? No, I haven't been there. There you go. Okay, but I wouldn't want to come there if you're the pastor because you're aggressive. Now, we must preach. We must preach the whole council of God. We must preach the gospel. We must speak to people about their souls. What is the first work of the Holy Spirit? What is the first work of the Holy Spirit? I'm asking a biblical question. You're a pastor. I'm asking a biblical question. What is the first work of the Holy Spirit? He is the convictor. He convicts of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. But he is also a comforter. Therefore we must preach for conviction. I will send you another comforter who will be with you. There you go. But he cannot be a comforter to those who are unrepentant, unconvicted and have not turned from their sins and don't have faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is not scared of sin. The Holy Spirit isn't scared of anything. I'm saying to you that in your church you don't have the Holy Spirit. You have fake miracles. You have fake tongues. I know very well that if you claim... So how can you talk about something that you've never been to? I'm sorry, sir, but this is the end of the conversation. You don't have the gift of tongues. It's not tongues. It's gobbledygook. Okay. And we have to stand up to this because you can see how that man claims to be a pastor in a big charismatic church in Dudley where I used to live, just around the corner from that church. And the thing about that is that that is a, you know, you can see how his spirit responds to the preaching of the gospel. It doesn't say, praise God, somebody's preaching. It says, stop. And he gets aggressive and he was holding a very sharp scraper in his hand and pointing it at me aggressively. I don't think he actually meant me any harm, but I didn't like the way he was approaching me. Anyway, I'm going to keep preaching. We must preach against sin. We must call lying sin. We must call drunkenness sin. We must call abortion sin. We must call godlessness sin. We must call idolatry sin. And I was speaking from Psalm 8 on, O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory above the heavens. And then this pastor comes along and says, I shouldn't preach that. You see, the Word of God is living, it's quick, it cuts to the quick, it's powerful, it's sharper than any two-edged sword. And when God, the Holy Spirit, takes the Word of God, it brings conviction of sin and righteousness and judgment. And the people of Kidderminster need to know what it means to be under the conviction of sin and righteousness and judgment, not charismatic jamborees. not so-called speaking in tongues that isn't speaking in tongues, that is gobbledygook, and some of it is demonic. Those gifts died out at the end of the first century, and they have not been restored to the church. That's biblical. That's why we must be students of the Word of God. Now, God requires that we should repent of our sins, that we should forsake our sins, and that we should believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Bible tells me that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. Now, if you're looking for an experience, you say, well, I need to be baptised in the Spirit, and if I get what I call the baptism in the Spirit, that's conversion, then you're deceiving yourselves. You need to repent, you need to believe. The Holy Spirit never draws attention to Himself. He always points us, here's somebody coming, to Jesus Christ. No worries. The Lord, the Holy Spirit always preaches, points us to Jesus Christ. And I preach Christ Jesus and him crucified, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. You don't want to go to these charismatic jamborees with their entertainment and their music and their false doctrine of tongues and their supposed angels that wander around in the aisle. Things which are devilish, things which are demonic. Now, I must preach to you the truth. The truth is we are hell-deserving sinners. We deserve the wrath of God. There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that seeketh after God. We are all together become corrupt. The thoughts and the intents of our hearts are only evil continually. There is a holy God. There is a God who dwells in unapproachable light. There is a God of all righteousness. There is a God of whom we read in Psalm 8, which I was reading when this pastor stopped me. Oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory above the heavens. God's glory is above the heavens. That means when we worship him, we don't worship him with rock music. We don't worship him with dancing wildly or being slain in the spirit because the glory of our God is the glory which is above the heavens. And we also know that our God is a consuming fire. He is that thrice holy God. And those mightiest of created angels, they veil their faces before the throne of God and they cry, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty. The whole earth is full of his glory. You who fear not God, you who love your sins, you who dwell in darkness, you who practice spiritism in your so-called churches, There is a holy God. There is a... Don't point your finger at me and accuse me, sir. That's being accusative. Okay? You've got three fingers pointing, four fingers pointing back at yourself. So, three. So the thing is this. You see, I reject the testimony of your church revival fires. I reject it. If you've got angels walking up and down in your aisles, you're a false church. Because God doesn't do that. You just confirmed it. You just confirmed it. Okay, let me ask you a question. What must I do to be saved? Let me ask you a question. What must I do to be saved? How can a man be saved from his sin? How can he be delivered from the wrath to come? How can he escape from the fires of hell? See? There is a wrath to come. There is a hell to come. There is a judgment to come, a place of everlasting torment and fiery indignation of Almighty God, because He is the God that has set His glory above the heavens. He is the eternal God, and He is the only God, and He is the Savior of the world. And if you find Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Crucified One, who died and is resurrected by the power of Almighty God, then you will find the salvation that comes from God. Because there is no other name under heaven given amongst men whereby we must be saved. My dear friend, Mr Pastor, I really seriously doubt your salvation because you're not bearing gentle testimony to this Word that's being preached. This is the Word of God. It says, the wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God. It says, whosoever's name was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. And these warnings have to be given. So I tremble for your soul, my friend. I tremble for you because you're not showing signs of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ when you come at me with a weapon and you're angry and you threaten me as you did. Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and the Lord Jesus Christ alone will take away your sins. But woe unto the false shepherds who say, peace, peace, where there is no peace. And you young people in these churches, these charismatic churches, you need to get into the Word of God. Because there are young people there working with them. I think they're going to open up a revival fires branch right behind me. They're working in the shop here. That won't be good for Kidderminster. It really won't be good for Kidderminster. You need to repent. You need to come back to the Word of God. You need to read the Word of God. You need to study the Word of God. You need to be saturated in the Word of God. You see, the problem today is that these false prophets have said, peace, peace, where there is no peace, woe unto the false prophets, the ones who bring the people in with entertainment, the ones who have services that have no regard for the holiness or the majesty or the glory of almighty God. Oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory above the heavens. God has set his glory above the heavens. We must fall down before him and on our faces in abhorrence of ourselves and in holy terror because of our sins. And because we deserve the wrath of God, the wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God. It's no good to say, just preach the smooth things, the nice things. You can't bind up a wound until you've cut away the putrid flesh. But you say, I should bind up before that putrid flesh has been cut away. You think that people are too sensitive to hear what God says in his word. But we are to preach the law of God, to awaken sinners, to see that they are sinners in the hands of an angry God, that they deserve the wrath of God, that they do not deserve the mercy of God. And we must cry out mightily with all our hearts as watchmen on the wall, repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent or perish. And you have an undying soul and God looks at your heart and He says you need to repent of your sin and He will have mercy on you and save you if you repent. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. So you see, I have no time for the charismatic jamborees which twist the Word of God, which reject the Word of God, which abuse the Word of God. which mistreat the word of God and misinterpret the word of God. We must go to the law and to the testimony, to the law and to the testimony, Isaiah says. If you do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in you. for all of your angels, for all of your jumping up and down, for all of your being slain in the Spirit, for all of your supposed tongues which are just babble, for all of those things which are floss, candy floss. You're going to say on the day of judgment, did we not do many mighty works in thy name? Oh, we healed the sick. Oh, we prophesied. Oh, we spoke in tongues and Jesus will say to you, depart from me you cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Because you have misunderstood, mistaught the gospel, you haven't taught it. And you have never faithfully preached the blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses from all sin. And I'm only warning you in love. Because you need to repent. I'm telling you now with all my heart, the charismatic movement, including revival fires, does not have the Holy Spirit, does not know the outpouring of God's Spirit, does not have the marks of a work of a Spirit of God. And I can tell just by talking to your pastor. Because when people love Jesus Christ and they love the word of God, they thank God that somebody is preaching the gospel here in Kidderminster. But when they get angry and become aggressive, they are not true pastors of this gospel or of the flock of God. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are false pastors whom God takes no pleasure in. They are fake evangelists. And the things they claim don't come from the Holy Spirit, they come from somewhere else. We need to get back to the law and to the testimony. We need to get back to the word of God. We need to believe what God has said. We need to preach the law of God so that people may be convicted by the Holy Spirit of their sins. Because Kidderminster is under the wrath of God and the judgments of God are near at hand in Kidderminster. And because unless the people of Kidderminster repent, God will destroy Kidderminster. You can be sure of that. And unless you repent, you will be turned into hell, whose name was not written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire. And if you're a church, you'll preach that. You'll preach that. But I'm told not to preach that by your pastor because, well, you don't preach that, so you're not a church, I guess. And you can't be a church if you don't preach that. It is the duty of a true pastor to teach unswervingly and faithfully, continually, and with all his might, his might, not her might, to teach the unadulterated Word of God in every part, not just constantly going on about prophecies and miracles and healings, but teaching the whole counsel of God thoroughly and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ thoroughly and extensively and faithfully, calling sinners to repentance from their sin and to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. When I see your pastor, I think that man is not doing that because that man's aggression shows that he does not have the Holy Spirit. You've got a very angry pastor. He's not got the Holy Spirit. That man can't control himself. He's not got the Holy Spirit. Now, I'm saying this to you in love. I'm saying this to you in love, that you need to get back to the word of God. You need to return to the testimony. You need to believe what God has said. You need to preach Christ Jesus and Him crucified. You need to get rid of the loud music and the fluff and the froth and the candy floss and the bubble and so on, and return to the faithful teaching of God's Word. You do not have the gift of tongues. You do not have the gift of prophecy. You do not have the gift of healing. You're deceiving yourselves and you are deceiving others. You must get back to the Bible and read the Bible and study the Bible and love the Bible and pray that the Holy Spirit would show you the Bible because the Bible is the word of God. Just to point out, there's about eight people in the shop behind me where I normally preach here, and I have been praying and wondering whether I could take that shop on for a Bible study place, but it's obviously going to be taken over by this extreme charismatic church now. So turn from your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, listen to these words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 10, words which no doubt your pastor will tell me not to preach from. He wants me to preach smooth things, nice things. So Jesus says, He says, depart from me cursed into everlasting fire, prepared, Matthew 25 rather, prepared for the devil and his angels. Now, if we don't warn people that there is everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels, then we deceive them. You realise that? If you're not preaching hell to people, you're deceiving them. If you are not warning them of the wrath to come, you are deceiving them. And if you are deceiving the people by refusing to preach the whole counsel of God, the words of Jesus, depart from me you cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Then you are a wolf in sheep's clothing and you are a blind leader of the blind. And not only you, but all your people will fall into the ditch. Return to the word of God. Get the scripture into you, get into the Bible, return to the word of God and believe what God said. Now, my Bible tells me that Jesus had to be crucified so that sins could be forgiven. And my Bible tells me that salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. And there is none other name under heaven given amongst men whereby we must be saved. That's the only name by which the people of Kidderminster can be saved from their sins, delivered from the wrath to come and find everlasting life. The only name. But if you turn from your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will have life to the glory of God the Father. Amen. I should just say for the record that I've read credible accounts of there being angels that apparently manifest and walk up and down the aisles when they have their services. That's why I asked the pastor that, and he certainly didn't deny that. I think he really rather affirmed it by the way he looked at me. But the thing is that that's demonic. That's not biblical. That's not Christianity. That is the same as That's the same as spiritism or spiritualism, summoning up demons. But if revival fires are coming to Kidderminster and to this place where I'm preaching the gospel, that is a problem. We have got to call out the charismatic churches in these days for forsaking the scriptures and for doing things which aren't from God. We've got to be bold enough to say that this isn't the Holy Spirit and therefore it's false and fraudulent. So I'm very concerned, but there were people there, the young people there as well, and I pray that they would listen to the word of God. It's funny, that's not the first time a charismatic pastor has come and been really angry with me for preaching the gospel. At least they've had the wisdom to go inside and shut the door and not continue to harass me. I pray that they'll have ears to hear what I've been preaching. Father, I pray that you would have mercy, Lord, and I pray that the word that has been preached would be used for your glory. I pray it be used to bring conviction of sin on Kidderminster. Father, deliver and protect Kidderminster from revival fires, Lord. I pray that they would not be able to snatch people out of the Word of God from people's hearts and blind them with false doctrine and feed them with counterfeit miracles and speak to them with counterfeit tongues and false prophecies. I pray that the people of Kidderminster would turn back to faithful preaching of your word, expository preaching, powerful preaching, wonderful preaching, which sets up the Lord Jesus Christ first and calls sinners to him. Father, that you would draw the people of Kidderminster to the Lord Jesus Christ, that they might be saved. I pray you'd raise up a true witness in this town and have mercy upon Kidderminster. Deliver the nations, deliver England and these other countries from this fraudulent, false, alleged outpouring of your spirit, Father, which is so dishonouring to your name and goes with unholiness and uncleanness and folly and madness and deceit. Oh, Father, have mercy on Kidderminster and even perhaps some of those behind would have listened. I think they've got together and they're praying in their tongues against me, Lord, but that doesn't matter because I know that you're on my side, Father, because I preach the Word of God. And oh, Lord, that those who heard, and those young people that heard, that they'd be awakened, Lord, that they would read the Bible, that they would see the difference between what they're learning and what they're being taught, and what the Bible says. nor father, that you would deliver Kidderminster and Dudley from such false movements as these. These things I ask and pray in Jesus' precious name. Thank you, Lord, for helping me to preach the gospel in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Thank you, Lord, for helping me. That was a hard message, but it needed to be preached. No one should stop a man preaching the gospel like that. Least of all, a man claiming to be a pastor in God's church. And I know about revival fires because I used to live just around the corner from it for 10 years. I'd say just around the corner, just along the road.
