There's a married couple at our church, and they were asking God, God, what do you want us to do to serve, to reach out to other people? And they had a sense that it would be involving a meal at their home, and so they did that, and they continued. And now every Sunday, Sunday afternoon, they'll have people over, a wide range of people, and just do life together, and great conversations, great food. It's a great time for everybody. And I think about in the Bible how Matthew, when he came to know the Lord, he had a huge banquet at his house. Tax collectors, sinners, Jesus was there. And he just wanted to get a meal and get people together and that God's love would take over. And so I encourage you as you think about ways that you can reach out, think about meals, having someone over. Who could you invite this week or this month and bring them into your home, just enjoy each other, enjoy the food. and then let God lead the conversation. And so often meals, it's a tangible way to bond and you see it in the Bible, I see it in our church. It's inspiring when I heard that they were listening to God, they were following through in those relationships. Just an awesome time together. Take a next step with meals and with outreach.
