Thanks for the post back.

Homosexuality/Gay Marriage is certainly a controversial issue.

IMHO it would be properly addressed if churches were serious about the Great Commission and Being a House of Real Praying. We would be praying for the lost, not just homosexuals. We would be seeking the Lord for wisdom in how to speak to them of Christ. We would be seeking the empowering of the Holy Ghost so He would use us in reaching them with the gospel.

And when they repented and accpeted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we would rejoice over them and happily baptize them too.

Actually what you have written is probably qutie popular with those who want to go along to get along.

Now if a church bows to political pressure to get along and preforms gay marriage services will that make the gospel which tells all of us to repent, to have a fresh obedience to God and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save us from our sins and that would include both the sin of homosexuality and compromise...I don't think so.

Now only that but such a church will cry out for the sever corrective discipline of God if not His outrigth judgment as they will be acting as His enemies.

When the chips are down shouldn't we take the side of obedience and faithfulness to Jesus Christ regardless of the consequences we might suffer in this world. Of course this might not be popular with those who want the approval of and peace with the world (that would be a very fallen and anti-Jehovah world).

Ricky
Sure, Sure homosexuals of Sodomn (men lying with men as with a woman is quite an abomination to God) had to be quite arrogant to live in unrepentant unremorsefull self-centered ease in their abomination which deserved God judment caring more for themselves than the poor and needy.

What I write will not be popular.

But when it comes to marriage, I think this is a pointless battle to deny gay people marriage.

1. They are already in sin with or without legal marriage. Their legal standing with the state has nothing to do with the sin they commit.

2. God defines marriage. If the government told you the sky was green and the grass was purple and put it on official documents, would that make it true? Not at all. We act as if somehow this government has power of this word we call marriage. The state's "marriage" is just a piece of paper that grants currently a man and women some extra benefits. This "marriage" can be broken for very trivial reasons. Christian marriage is much deeper than this and is defined by God. If we absolved legal marriage all together, I believe that Christian marriage is still there. Do you think that if the state got out of marriage, you would no longer be marriage as a Christian couple? Of course you would still be married.

3. Presenting the power of Jesus to the lost is greater than advocating amendments or changing laws. PERIOD. I think the gay marriage "battle" is very divisive in the long run. Don't blame me when there is "blowback" and gay people advocate to limit your rights as a Christian.

The book of Daniel, speaking of antichrist, says that he(antichrist)has no regard for women. I think antichrist is a sodomite and this is why they are getting the stage set for his arrival. Using mass mind control through television, films, music, and the politial parties. They have more sodomite characters on TV and in film than anytime in history, and in both political parties, which are actually one in the same. the "falling away" has been going on for years now. The churches hands are tied, because they've all incorporated, and no longer can preach against anything the state deems as policy, all for the sake of filthy lucre (Money). Repent, come out from among her and be ye separate and touch not the unclean thing.

I've read a great deal of these comments and one thing I have notice is that most that mention Church apearently do not understand what the Church is? Most are referring to a denomination or building when they talk of the church? "The Church is made up of TRUE BELIEVERS! Now what is a True Believer? A True Believer is one that obeys the Word of the LORD! Jesus said "I you say that you love me, Yet do not obey obey my commandments your a lier! Jesus is the Word of God made flesh, so therefore everywhere that God speaks, its accually our Lord Jesus speaking, and He said that un-natual effections were an abommination onto Him. Allso in the Book of Revelations there are warnings to all people about those that will not see the Kingdom of God. Those warnings were to all people and refered to liers, murders, thieves,Fornicators and ect. Read the Book! The biggest problem today is that although the Bible is the top printed book and most house holds have atleast one copy if not more? only 1/10th of a percent of todays so called church even reads it?
gay doesn't mean sodimite? No gay means happy. and they are not homo's or homosexauls neither! They are Sodimites and are an ombominations to our Lord, just like Thieves, Liers, Pedifiles or Murders. Repent today!Tomarrow may not be yours?

It appears that the great apostacy has been around for most of the 20th century. False prophets/teachers, a social gospel, cultural christians, users of Christianity for selfish purposes, abound - and, that's in mainline denominations.

I think of that verse 1 Pet 4:17, "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?"

Homosexual sex is fornication, which is without doubt a sin in God's eyes. Homosexuals make up about 1 to 2 percent of the population; however, the Homosexual "rights" movement makes up a significant percentage of today's news and media. What's wrong with this picture? Ephesians says that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but with supernatural principalities and powers. These powers are using this issue to not only damage the church, but to divide it as well. I see it as a major component of the coming great apostacy in preparation for the end of the age.

Noreen, it's the Churches fault. II Chronicles 7:14 is written to God's people, not the lost.
Churches have long ago decided to do away with holy and separated living. The Calvinists (not all) have spread their doctrine and now no one sees a need to go door-to-door soul winning (except some IFB churches). We have no right to complain about the situation in America because light repels darkness, and the only reason darkness grows is because the light is hidden.

Lester Roloff said back in the 70's
"The day America lost it's chance for revival is the day the television was invented."

I think he was right.

It's our job to spread the gospel; and when hearts are regenerated and changed, then will a country be changed.

I have often wondered why we, God's children have allowed this abominable life style to take such a strangle hold and not done anything to excise this cancer growth? We have allowed same sex marriage and now the gays want the same rights as the heterosexual community has.
Do you also agree that the abominable act of abortion should be done away with? The slaughter of the innocent unborn's blood will be on our heads and we will pay!

Sometimes you wonder if the begining of this current abomination in the USA didn't begin with another abomnation which became more prevalent after WWII.
I'm talking about women wearing that which pertaineth to a man, and a man putting on a womans garment. This is also called an abomination, but is disregarded in many churches and lives today.
We ALWAYS reap what we sow.

You are correct Bernard and I should have been more specific in my post. I am talking about homosexuals who want to live an active homosexual lifestyle while being active members of the church. There is a huge difference between a sinner who knows he is a sinner and wants to fight against his/her sinful nature and someone who acts as if it is not a sin. It is calling white what God has called black which is the problem. Sodomites want us to acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with their lifestyle and they should be accepted in all circles of life as normal people.
we must also remember that Jesus said to Capernaum that it would be more tolerable in the day of judgement for Sodom and Gomorrah because they did not hear the gospel of Christ - so the greatest sin, the unforgivable sin, is the final and total rejection of Christ.

I think it's important to note that while this is a valid statement for unrepentent homosexuals only. Homosexuals should be welcomed into churches so that they can hear the gospel clearly preached.

If a homosexual repents of his/her sin and confesses Christ as Lord, then the normal processes of church membership, etc, should apply. Remember, the Corinthian church included ex-homosexuals ("...what some of you were...").

All of this applies equally of course to anyone leading a lifestyle of sin and rebellion against God.

The Gay Marriage thing is just another step in a certain direction. Just the fact that we who oppose it use the word "Gay" in this way shows how much we have compromised. "Gay" is a disposition of heart, not a sexual preference. These people are sodomites! And we get them shoved down our neck every day. They are now TV heroes, they are not allowed to be discriminated against so they are your kids' teachers and scout leaders. Now churches are fighting to give them rights in the pulpit. They should not be members of the church, let alone in positions of leadership. Whatever happened to church discipline? Now they want to have the same rights as married couples, and be allowed to adopt and raise kids. And the church is either impotently flapping its arms or pushing the world's agenda. No wonder the world despises the church so much. They KNOW we are supposed to be different (Acts 5:13). Where is the enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent? We have let the devil himself into our church. This sodomite thing is but one manifestation of this. We use the world's methods, the world's music, adopt the world's culture. I thought we were supposed to go into the world and turn it upside down? The opposite is happening and we are here arguing about baptism etc.

Mr. J wrote:
The very first words to man out of the mouth of Almighty God were, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it." God wanted man to multiply and fill the earth with people who would worship Him. Homosexuality is an affront to God for this reason. Homosexuality is not just called a sin in the Bible, but an abomination and a detestable thing because it violates the natural order of things which God has created for His glory. There will always be those who are born with sinful tendencies in this regard. They have the option of recognising it as sin and praying to God for deliverance from it. Or they can call "white" what God has called "black", and try to change the clear meaning of Scripture. As in all these things, when God gives a clear command, we can either say "Yes!" of "Yes, but...". If we say "Yes but" we are always wrong. Because God cannot be wrong. God created them male and female and He placed the man over the woman. End of story.
I can`t agree more.God only created a man and woman. The Holy Bible told us it. What happened? The men`s sins is the main reason, it`s not God`s fail, it`s from us.

Marriage is the joining together by a holy God, into one FLESH of a man and a woman. Two men cannot be joined together. I think it homosexuality is an expression of the works pf the flesh.. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery , fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Dont get me wrong, I do not think God is harder on the person that exhibits hatred or wrath, its all the same...Expression of te flesh, if you are inhabited by the holy spirit you will exhibit fruit of the spirit-Its all to do with which Kingdom you are in i guess.
