Harold B. Sightler

A very loving and devoted pastor. Pastored Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, SC from July 20, 1952 till his passing on Sept. 27, 1995. Credited for starting Tabernacle Christian School in 1961, Tabernacle Baptist College in 1963, Tabernacle Children's Home in 1962, The radio broadcast "The Bright Spot Hour" in 1943 which is heard on hundreds of radio stations all over the world. Also started radio station WTBI AM 1540 in 1985 and WTBI 91.7 FM in 1991. Dr. Sightler has been credited in sending hundreds to the mission field all over the world as well as establishing many Baptist Churches too.

Dr. Sightler was married on Mar 11, 1935. Mrs. Helen Sightler passed away on October 11, 2001 at the age of 86 and buried next to Dr. Sightler and their daughter Carolyn Grace who died of a car accident on June 13, 1951.
