Bruce worked in the field of law enforcement for over 38 years until he retired in 2012. He holds BA and MA degrees in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is also a graduate with a MA in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He serves as the pastor of the Fellowship Class, one of Lakeside's adult Sunday School classes. Since retiring from law enforcement, he has also taken on the responsibility of serving as the executive director of Verse by Verse Ministries, Lakeside’s radio ministry featuring Pastor Kreloff’s Bible teaching.

Bruce and Marcia, his wife of 49 years, have three adult children and seven grandchildren.
