Abuse is a growing problem. It is estimated that one in four women has been the victim of domestic violence and there is a growing awareness that men are often victims too. Those who have been abused need help, and the all-sufficient Word of God provides the wisdom we need to offer comfort, practical aid, and guidance to those who are hurting. This booklet does not deal with every aspect of abuse, but discusses the biblical principles that will apply to all situations.
Author: Dr. Jim Newheiser, MA, DMin, Westminster Theological Seminary, has been practicing biblical counseling for over 20 years, is a NANC Fellow, and has served as the director of IBCD since 2006. He has been a pastor at Grace Bible Church in Escondido, CA since 1990. Jim is the author of Opening Up Proverbs, and co-author of When Good Kids Make Bad Choices, and You Never Stop Being a Parent.
