Prayer Meeting
June 8, 2022 15:15PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @6:30pm. Bible Study: We will continue to study the "Glorious Body of Christ" tonight looking at the topic of "the unity and diversity in the glorious body of Christ". There is much confusion in our day about what "unity" and "diversity" really mean in the church and yet the Scriptures are not confusing. It is when we drift away from God's Word that we get confused.

Wed. Prayer Meeting @6:30pm. Bible Study: Do not Fear- We will be focusing on the passage of 2 Kings 6:8-23. Have you had experiences in your life in which the situation looked really bad, only to find out later the Lord was doing something you could not see. You then realized that things are not always as they seem to be.

Wed. Prayer Meeting @6:30pm. Bible Study: Psalm 139- This week we will be continuing our topic of do not be afraid, and looking at "Do not be afraid of how you will die". “ It is not so terrible to those who have been thinking seriously on it as it is to others who have never done this. No wonder many are terrified or stupefied at death, since they never learned the lesson of dying before it came on them.” James Durham (1622-1658)
Prayer Meeting and Bible Study
September 1, 2021 13:24PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study: we will be continuing in our study of "Do not be afraid". Our topic will be, "fear of death and dying". Please read Hebrews 2:14-18, and John 11:1-27 in preparation. “Expiring saints have often said that their last beds have been the best they have ever slept upon. Many of them have enquired, “Tell me, my soul, can this be death?” - C. H. Spurgeon
Prayer Meeting
August 11, 2021 17:2PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @6:30pm. Bible Study Exodus 14- Consider Israel, with Egypt behind them and the uncrossable Red Sea before them. And the Lord led them to this very place for a very important reason. Do you see the reason? Could it be the Lord puts you in tough spots for a reason? “It is far more honorable to seek conformity to Christ and in his cross, than despise and fly away from his sufferings... they are very evil-worthy of the sweet who will not endure the sour.” Samuel Rutherford (1651)
Prayer Meeting
August 4, 2021 14:19PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study: Fear. “ fear is evil, if it begets the use of evil means—either to preserve or acquire that which is good, or to avoid evil. This is true if we fear man more than God and, in neglecting both the fear of God and obedience toward His commandments, we seek to get man on our side in sinful ways. We then give no heed as to whether we displease God; as long as we can please men in order that they will do us no evil, but good. (Mat. 10:28)” Wilhelmus A'Brakel (1635-1711)
Prayer Meeting
July 28, 2021 15:24PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:22-24. "True religion, in great part, consists in Holy Affections. Their religion appeared true and of the right kind when it had its greatest trial of what sort it was... tried in fire, their religion was not only proved true but pure, cleansed from its dross and mixtures of that which was not true, and when religion appeared in them most in its genuine excellency and native beauty, and was found to praise, and honour and glory." Jonathan Edwards (1746)
Prayer Meeting
July 21, 2021 15:51PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:19-21 We are to test all prophecies and preaching of God's Word. The important question then is "by what means shall we test" these prophecies? And then what do we do with the results? "When thou art disappointed with men, retire to God and to his promises; and build upon this, that the Lord will not be wanting in anything to do thee good." ~Richard Sibbes (1577-1635)
Prayer Meeting
July 14, 2021 13:55PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:19-21 Can you think of ways you might be quenching the Spirit of God in the preaching of His word? Look at vv 20-21 to find the answers. "The power of the pulpit is a matter of the first importance to the whole Christian Church. So many other influences are at present struggling for supremacy that it is more than ever a duty to uphold the living power of God’s great ordinance for the conversion of the world. ~James Begg (1808-1883)
Prayer Meeting
July 7, 2021 11:32AM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:19-22 What is the role of the Spirit in our lives, and prophecies? "If we reflect that the Spirit of God is the only fountain of truth, we will be careful, as we would avoid offering insult to him, not to reject or condemn truth wherever it appears." John Calvin (1509-1564) "Nay, but let every good and true Christian understand that wherever truth may be found, it belongs to his Master." Augustine of Hippo (354-430 A.D.)
Prayer Meeting
June 30, 2021 11:19AM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:14-15. “Cold prayers bespeak a denial, but fervent supplications offer a sacred violence to the kingdom of heaven. Lazy prayers never procure noble answers. Lazy beggars may starve for all their begging.” Thomas Brooks (1608-1680)
Prayer Meeting
June 23, 2021 15:4PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting @ 6:30pm. Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:14 "Uphold the weak." This is what Jesus has done for us, see the Apostle Peter and Jesus upheld him in a time of weakness. "If my waters would stand, they would rot, Faith is the better for the free air and the sharp winter-storm in its face. Grace withereth without adversity. The devil is but God’s master-fencer, to teach us to handle our weapons." ~ Samuel Rutherford
Prayer Meeting- Day of Humiliation
June 16, 2021 12:45PM
Wed. Prayer Meeting at 6:30pm, in preparation for the Lord's Supper on 6/20. We will be focusing on our duty of self-examination and humiliation. “However earnest soever we are in pressing people to join themselves to the Lord in this ordinance, we would not have them to be “rash with their mouth nor hasty to utter anything before God.” Eccl. 5:2 ~ Matthew Henry
Prayer Meeting
June 9, 2021 16:34PM
Wed. 6:30PM, join us for Prayer Meeting! Bible Study 1 Thess. 5:14 “comfort the fainthearted”. The picture is that of lifting up an injured player in a sports competition and walking them off the field. “A man of charitable spirit is apt to see the afflictions of others, filled with concern for them, and ready to help them; taking delight in supplying their necessities and relieving their difficulties.” Jonathan Edwards (1738)
Prayer Meeting
June 2, 2021 13:16PM
Tonight at 6:30 pm, join us for Prayer Meeting! Bible Study: 1 Thess. 5:14-15. Consider how we live together with each other: warning, comforting, and upholding one another with patience. "If you have not prayed for Christ, I am afraid, dear friend, that much of your own prayer will have been displeasing to God. Remember that the same Christ who tells us to say, “Give us this day our daily bread,” had first given us this petition, “Hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done." C.H. Spurgeon
Prayer Meeting
May 26, 2021 11:17AM
Tonight at 6:30 pm, join us for Prayer Meeting! Bible Study: 1 Thess. 5:12-13 . Consider, how vital to you is your relationship with the shepherds God has given you? "As every troop or company in a regiment of soldiers must have its own captain and other officers, and every soldier knows his own commander and colours; so it is the will of God, that every church should have its own pastor, and that all Christ's disciples 'should know their teachers that are over them in the Lord.'" ~Richard Baxter (1656)
Prayer Meeting
May 19, 2021 17:25PM
Tonight at 6:30 pm, join us for Wednesday Prayer Meeting! "In the heart of every sincere disciple of Christ, there is no sentiment more firmly fixed, or more habitually recognized, than that of his entire dependence on God for every blessing, and the necessity and duty of unceasing prayer for all that he needs." ~Samuel Miller (1845)
Prayer Meeting
May 12, 2021 16:22PM
Tonight at 6:30 pm, join us for Wednesday Prayer Meeting! "Prayer is a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his Word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God." ~John Bunyan (1662)
