Much of your zeal in this day of passivity is a good thing. However, zeal without knowledge (Romans 10:2) is often linked to immaturity, pride, etc. God does call us to contend for the faith. Paul disputed manfully, as his manner was, in the market and even in the synagogues. I am therefore calling you to present your objections against our teaching in FORMAL DEBATE. Since you have already publicly presented your objections with such confident bombast (likening our teaching to lost J.W.'s, etc.), I am sure you will not use the excuse that you have not yet studied the issues thoroughly enough to debate them, and have your views openly tested. I have a man in our church who is a physical brother of a man in your church, as you well know. You have already discussed this issue in email and in person with him for some time (though I have heard that you have been evasive on this). Therefore, the idea that you found out about our church from your sister, as you imply in your video, is a bit strange. You should also know that we are in agreement on a very large number of controversial issues, which is rare today among Independent Fundamental Baptists. Even so, I believe on this issue of the Christian's judgment, you have chosen a hot-headed path of railing on things you barely understand, acting with mostly emotion instead of substance. Using the word "cult" makes you feel better, just at it does those Baptists who call KJV Onlyism "cultic," etc. And I intend to prove it, if you are willing to defend your accusations in a formal, debate setting. Our forefathers often chose this manner of dealing with doctrinal controversy. It allows the truth to shine forth, after being tested by the fires of formal, controlled opposition. If I am wrong, you will be able to prove it, as easily as J. Frank Norris proved the error of the postmillennial Campbellites in formal debates of earlier days, etc. We will provide whatever you need to make this formal debate possible and convenient for you.
