WORSHIP SERVICES
1. GPC seeks to biblically define and maintain our essential priorities. Grocery stores and pharmacies remain open for the body. Public worship will remain open for the soul.
2. Please follow the Session's instructions for limiting any non-essential social gatherings and for observing protocols of precaution when gathered for public worship.
3. Those who have been exposed to sickness should remain home and watch services online. If you stay home, please apply the same sobriety and reverence that you would at the public assembly.
4. The officers and members stand ready and available to assist with any bodily, health needs for those who are sick.
5. Members should consult the pastoral letter that was circulated, which contains further details.

The Best Preaching

"But if you preach doctrine and experience and practice, by the blessing of God, you will have head, and heart, and hands, and feet -- a perfect man in Christ Jesus."

John ('Rabbi') Duncan, a minister in our denomination from the 19th century, wrote these words about balance in preaching.

The full quote reads as follows:
"Some persons preach only doctrine; that makes people all head, which is a monster. Some preach only experience; that makes the people all heart, which is a monster too. Others preach only practice; that makes people all hands and feet, which is likewise a monster. But if you preach doctrine and experience and practice, by the blessing of God, you will have head, and heart, and hands, and feet -- a perfect man in Christ Jesus." (Colloquia Peripatetica, 1907, p. 167).
