Church as Family I really appreciated Paster Holroyd's sermon and I get the concept of community. However, that being said, and semantic nitpicking aside, are we, as Christians, rather to be called Family, than community? What I mean is, the word community, in relation to the Church, is a post-modern ideal. Are we not rather to be called brethren? Does God's Word not say we are brothers and sisters in Christ? A community is defined as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. Are we not much more than this. I think of a community as a group of people living either in the same town, or neighborhood, maybe sharing a barbecue every once in a while. While a family is related by blood...in our case, the blood of Christ. I think it would be a much better sermon to preach on the Church as a FAMILY... just a friendly suggestion.
Great Sermon! What a great message, Randy! Linda and I are praising God with you for His grace in your family and His direction in leading you back to California.
This message was especially meaningful to us today. We just heard a few hours ago from Tim in Heidelberg that he has been diagnosed with leukemia and will go into the hospital tomorrow for treatment. The outcome, of course, is in God's hands. His grace will prevail for him and his family and for us.
Looking forward to seeing you here at some point in the near future.

Great Sermon! This two part series on forgiveness is one of the best. Pastor Cox first walks with you in your pain so you feel God and others do understand. Pastor Cox than helps you understand how to go through the process of forgiving others so that your soul can be restored. Amen
