Great Sermon! Very good message about the wicked poison / narcotic / drug which is promoted everywhere. Not just on Billboards and print ads, but almost every TV program / Movie / radio, not the ads , but a part of the show. In the Bible there is no place that extols the uses of booze. Gen., Prov. Hab. And Daniel do not. The N.T. warns use to be vigilant. A person with booze in their brain cannot be vigilant. You cannot tell your kids to not do drugs if you are drinking alcoholic beverages. That is 2-faced. Pastor Schlamp is one of a vry few ( and the men of the Free Presbyterian Church) that dare preach against the "devil in a bottle".
A warning for all believers Thank you for preaching upon a very difficult and complex subject which has serious implications for all believers of our Lord and Saviour. As Phil concluded we must know what God's word has to say,for that is the only truth we have.
Great Sermon! Good message in all 3 sermons of the series. Well thought out.
Many people ( Calvinists) do not read a whole chapter, only a portion of a verse.
They often neglect to open a standard English dictionary and look up word meanings,,, and the words next to the other words in verses. I was in the "Calvin Camp" for 10+ years, but now I am back to being Sola Scriptura!
Great Sermon! Very, very good series, especially the last 3 messages which were about the Church at Laodecia. I think the last 2 have not been posted yet [ Canadian winter ? đ].Pastor Schlamp does not "sugar-coat" sermons.
We are featuring this series in our blog This has been an awesome series! Not only is the biblical treatment fully faithful, but you are spot-on with what the church must do about it. Our blog site is called "7 Times Around the Jericho Wall."
Pay no mind to those who claim your message is "unloving". The church not caring about the real souls involved is what's truly unloving
True in deed! I like the reference in the sermon to Dr. Harold Willmington. It is so wonderful to be able to learn from the likes. He in his comments on the Lords Prayer said "If you wonât forgive ⊠you canât pray, âForgive us our debts."
And he also agrees that " we cannot make a final judgment concerning the salvation of any professing Christian, for only God knows those who truly belong to him."
It is so good to hear good solid teaching from the bible and be able to study further to the edifying of the saints.
Great Insight! From Dr. Harold Willmington:
Question: What kind of person is unable to pray the Lordâs prayer?
If you donât know Christ ⊠you canât pray, âOur Father.â
If you glorify yourself ⊠you canât pray, âHallowed be Thy name.â
If you reject His rules ⊠you canât pray, âThy kingdom come.â
If you wonât submit ⊠you canât pray, âThy will be done.â
If your life is only for here and now ⊠you canât pray, âOn earth as it is in heaven.â
If you are self-sufficient ⊠you canât pray, âGive us our daily bread.â
If you wonât forgive ⊠you canât pray, âForgive us our debts.â
If you seek sin ⊠you canât pray, âLead us not into temptation.â
If you are a friend of evil ⊠you canât pray, âDeliver us from evil.â
If you build your own kingdom ⊠you canât pray, âThine is the kingdom.â
If you want power ⊠you canât pray, âThine is the power.â
If you always take credit ⊠you canât pray, âThine is the glory.â
And also:" we cannot make a final judgment concerning the salvation of any professing Christian, for only God knows those who truly belong to him. âNevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquityâ (2 Tim. 2:19)."
So true! So well said.
1 Cor. 6:1-3 and Mathew 5.
We are all on the way to the last judgment where the sheep will be separated from the goats. "first be reconciled to your brother"..."whiles thou art in the way with him;"
Great Sermon! For people who know Plautdietsch : this is a series that is important to listen to in our day and age: fa Menschen de doa plautdietsch vestonnen dise botschauften sent wichtich no to horchen fa de teit wua wie benn senn,
Pastor Phil :Mucht Gott die saajnen fa dise woarheit pradjen
Great Sermon! Excellent sound accurate biblical teaching. "Remarriage" is ongoing adultery and should be repented of just like any other sin, but Scripture is clear that no adulterers or fornicators will inherit the Kingdom of heaven God will not be mocked. The enemy has had a hand in corrupting translations and definitions of words to blind us. God bless you for speaking the truth in love
