Sermon:
The Roman Catholic Roots of Calvinism
Dr. David L. Brown

“ Great Sermon! ”
A notable and highly regarded "theologian's" name is mentioned a few times. I followed his teachings when a babe in the faith. He has a program on one major radio station I know of. I bought many of his books, when a babe. If he is a heretic and adherent of Augustine and the Catholic cult is rooted in Augustine's aberrant teachings, why is he on so many conference platforms? Conferences we are encouraged to attend? This is truly a mystery. This is dangerous. He is given space along with many theologians who repudiate Catholic dogma. How can this be? How can a Calvinist be a heretic and given place among God's sheep?

Thank you Mathew for taking the time to post a comment about this issue. So often we just follow along like lost sheep believing what popular preachers teach. Our calling is a noble calling. Like the Bereans, we should study the scripture for better understanding of teachings of past popular "theologians."

Excellent knowledge Pastor Brown. I have high regards for listening to you speak...because you teach a sermon. On Sundays your services included a very nice outline. Better than most churches. I wish these audio sermons included a text outline. I downloaded another Baptist app for my Androud

Sermon:
The Theories of Preservation
Dr. David Sorenson
1
comment
“ Useful lecture ”
The doctrine of preservation of Scripture intrinsically derives from the very nature of God. It is consistent with his plans, purpose and character. It goes along with how he does things, what he is, and the reasons why he exists. If he upholds *all things* by the word of his power, (Heb.1:3), how some think his Word escapes the sphere of his absolute control and it is left to man's personal twick, or to random preservation? Such notion is foreign to his revelation; but sadly, this is the case of the humanistic view of Scripture preservation sustained by many today.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Pastor David L. Brown, in my heart I have always thought that Melchizedek was our Lord Jesus Christ, bless you, your family, and ministry. I have listened to sermons about Melchizedek, and none have ever said they believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was the most High Priest Melchizedek. This was an inspiring sermon, it blessed my heart to listen. Amen! Amen!

It seems that these two doctrines each have a flawed/limited understanding of the sovereignty of our Lord God and how He operates. We can't fully/totally explain His nature (the Trinity), so how is it that we think we have a full understanding of His sovereignty? Thanks for your presentation, Bro. David. I'm looking forward to the rest of this series.
