Pastor Bob Gunn's teaching from James 5:16 hit close to home again, and we hope to quote the text and his commentary to many.
âIf you donât confess your faults to other people you often have an open sore of sin and youâre not not healed."
âLots of Christians are going around totally cleansed but they havenât been totally healed from their sinfulness.â
âItâs built into the heart of man to confess their faults to other people for healing, but if itâs not a spiritual exercise you donât get complete healing."
Please know we appreciate all of you who make this information available. Well done! Thank you!
Great Sermon! Hi, Pastor Steve.
Just a short comment about the context for the letter to the Philipians. Remember I told you I am signed up for a trip to Turkey and Greece in late October? I began reading the book of Acts sometime ago (I have read it before too many times to remember) in order to prepare myself for the trip, and I noticed that all the other places where the apostle Paul had visited before Philipi had sinagogues, but when he arrives to Philipi, there is no information about a sinagogue there. That fact called up my attention, and made me wonder if there were Jews in Philipi, or if there were only a few Jews, and they gathered up by the river.
