Great Sermon! I really enjoy Chris’s energy and his ability to put things into the context of modern times. Our world really needs to hear more of these types of messages instead of all the negativity of today.
Challenge Accepted Might want to kindly reread Hebrews chapter 11 sir before taking such a dogmatic stance that God never wants us to disobey authority...its filled (along with the rest of the Bible) with people who not only rebelled against established authority (i.e. governments..see Moses, Rahab,David etc.just to name a few) but were blessed by the Lord for it just like the founders of our country did. Ironically Had the founders taken your advice and not rebelled against their government you wouldn't be able to so freely preach and criticize their approach from the safety of your pulpit.
Great Sermon! I dont even know how to begin to thank you for yeilding to the Word of God and presenting this topic. Your sermon truly reflects a depth of understanding perhaps experience on the topic and really helped and is helping me to deal with it. Especially taking it in light of the suffering of Christ, that Christ endured betrayal and does so continually when we fail to appreciate His sacrifice and yeild our lives to His Word. His Word indeed has the message to help us confront issues of s3lf betrayal as well as to endure the betrayal of others. His Spirit provides us with a comfort that understands the depth of anguish that betrayal afflicts the betrayed. There is a purpose that can be wrought from it and a lesson and a strength and indeed a deeper fellowship that can be arought from it with our Lord. I thank God for you and pray that He continues to empower you in your service to Him and the Body. God bless you brother.xxx
Great message! I've listened to this sermon and others in the "In the Heart" series more than once. They are very convicting...may we all have a Heart after Christ and for Christ. Keep leading! Love ya and CRBC.
