The gospel is more than forgiveness of sins. It is the gospel of the kingdom. It announces that the kingdom of Jesus Christ has begun to arrive. He has truth and grace. With Him is plenteous redemption. He has power, knowledge, judgement, justice, and mercy. He is usually not drawn that way by artists. This is a reminder that we can easily get impressions of the truth that contradict the evidence. Perhaps I should not mention that Dr. Lapps is no Alexander Scourby, but he does a good job. In fact, he reads it with more enthusiasm than the famed narrator!
