Great Sermon! Excellent. The same things have comforted me greatly in my times of great trial: the Psalms, the doctrine of the Sovereignty of God & the knowledge that God still does the impossible. Pray and wait for Him.
Great Sermon! this was a blessing to hear - preaching that rightly divides is preaching that is Spirit empowered. Those who attempt to earn their salvation will never have it. Praise the Lord HE has done it all for His elect.
Great Sermon! Sound teaching from Pastor Gary Shepard on our sins and Christ's Light given to His people, so that we know that it is only the blood of Christ shed for sinners which gives us a clean slate. We walk in the Light because He is in the Light. Glory to God.
rightly expounding This kind of preaching is rare, and doesn't tickle the ear nor please man's tainted will. Nevertheless, the truth MUST be preached, however unpopular it is. God's blessings to you for being faithful to His word.
Great Sermon! I read the pdf on this sermon, it is a most excellent teaching on the nature of the believer. Thank you for rightly expounding His truth, to God be the glory.
May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and faithfulness to His word
Great Sermon! Amen and Amen! Finally, someone who rightly expounds and exposes this make-believe holiday as the 'birth of Christ'.
How sad that so many 'Christians' defend their involvement in this. Unregenerate sinners are not any more 'open to the Gospel' this time of year than any other. God MUST open the ear, and that doesn't depend on what time of year it is! I am grateful that I don't get celebrate this, nor do I defend it anymore. Praise the Lord
Great preaching, to God be the glory
Broad is the way indeed This message brings to focus any reason for the remembrance of Christ after his departure to glory, according to revealed truth in the Word. On the night he was betrayed the authorative words of the God/man were " *This* do in remembrance of me", as a fulfillment of the Passover memorial. He did not say ' do the other' in remembrance of my birthday. The memorial he established was intended for the proclamation of his death as a ramsom for many. His birthday could never fulfill the requirements of the redemption for sin, as it stands as a bloodless circumstance. How far the church has deviated from the spirit of divine revelation, wandering in the paths of the spirit of the age to justify the unprecedented in scriptural revelation, but rather imitating the heathen and the idolatrous, far from what constitutes the core of Protestant belief: sola Scriptura.
Great Sermon! Agree! Christmas is a pagan event. But go ahead and and enjoy your liberty in Christ and spend time with family, exchange gifts etc - being careful not to engage in spiritual fornication with the unbelieving world. We don’t need a special day to remember our Lord’s birth. His birth, life, death, and resurrection is a daily celebration for His regenerate elect people.
Finally the Truth! Thank you for preaching the truth about this pagan Roman Catholic Cult festival that Christendom has embraced into their idolatrous religious clubhouses every December 25th.
Lovely to hear the Gospel preached in all its Glory.
Great Sermon! What a delight to listen to Brother Gary. He has been such an encouragement in the Lord. His messages preach Christ and Him crucified! I have listened and grown in knowledge and understanding by the Lord's sovereign mercy! I am so grateful God is converting and drawing His peope to Himself. I rejoice in God's faithfulness in using Brother Gary to give the true gospel so consistantly. It is so precious to hear the truth!
May the Lord, our Righteousness, be praised and glorified! Thank you, Brother Gary! I am praying for the Lord to bless you mightily for His glory!
In Christ alone,
Great Sermon! My thought life, alone, means that I would not escape! Christ being full of grace and truth, thoughts of Him are the only thoughts worth having but how prone I am to neglecting Him. A sinner to the end! Thank you Pastor Shepard for your clarity in preaching.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Pastor Gary, for this deep and serious message on the love of God in truth. A "christian" lady attacked me recently because she said I was causing discord among the brethren, when I told her the truth about her statement "God loves every one." I am afraid she could be one under a strong delusion, for she has not received the love of the truth that she might be saved.
Great Sermon! Pastor Gary, this was indeed a great encouragement going through many storms in life, with such bad health. I thank you so much for faithfully delivering it. Many, I am sure, having gone through the hurricane, were so thankful to be kept safe.
Just had to place this on Facebook to encourage others in their storms.
To be assured that we have Christ with us to bring us to the desired haven at the end. Glory to God in the Highest.
Great Sermon! We were greatly blessed, Pastor Gary, by this sermon, and thank you for revealing to us so much about the scattered people, which we are in Christ. Love in Him, English Rose and George
Great Sermon! God bless you, pastor Gary, for this precious Word which is so timely, having been in the midst of great and exceeding long trials. To say "Count if all Joy" is such a needed Word. I also will place it on Facebook, as I know many who this will so benefit. All for the glory of God. Love English Rose & George
Excellent preaching I appreciate the previous comment regarding this sermon.
I attended a pentecostal/charismatic church for 10 years and then didn't attend church for 20 years. I've recently been attending a Baptist church as well as listening to sermons on SermonAudio and sermon critiques by Chris Rosebrough on Pirate Christian Radio. I'm very thankful that I am learning what is Biblical teaching and what isn't.
I praise God for His faithfulness.
