“Great Sermon!”
Deborah Tremblay from Elliot Lake, Ontario
This is an excellent sermon Pastor Barkman! I especially looked up this topic as I need to send these doctrinal truths well...

“ Great passion for souls. ”
Yes, God uses human instruments in calling sinners to Him through the Gospel preached. I discovered through this message another faithful servant of God, Epaphras. He became real before my eyes, a man with a passion for souls and for the brethren.

“ Power of God's grace. ”
Blessed message about the long-suffering of God and His grace and power to dave such a man, who was so determined to follow his way of sin. Yes, this example shows us that God can save those unsaved from our families!

“ Glorious Jesus Christ. ”
Blessed meditation about who Jesus is, as God incarnate and Lord and Head of every spiritual being, and of who we are in Him, of what we have in Him. It is true: there is no true spirituality apart from Jesus!

“ Great contrast. ”
Great contrast between Judas, the hypocrite, who deceived with his religious life the other disciples, and Christ, the Savior, who walked in submission to His Father and His Law.

“ FREE GRACE NOT FREE WILL ”
God alone gets all the credit for our salvation. We cannot even deisre to be saved until grace calls us & changes us. This is the effect of the fall: we are indeed totally ruined by sin. These doctrines have been used of God in the history of the USA to bring ture revival. May He do it again for the Glory of Chirst & for the good of His church. Today's smooth & easy & comfortable & "fun" religion is powerless. As J.C. Ryle said, no dogma no fruit. Sinners must know how utterly dependant they are upon the grace of God before they genuinly trust in it. Eph 2:1-10

“ Great Sermon! ”
Wow, thank you Pastor for this powerful sermon! This message was very convicting, and I sensed the Lord asking me (regarding my unsaved husband)"Do you respond to your husband, do you speak to him, do you listen to him, do you look at him, do you react to him, do you love him, as you do Me?" As unto the Lord.. God bless!!

“ PROFITABLE BUT NOT POPULAR ”
These topics are not often heard in our modern churches. We need to get back to the Bible. This truth will humble us and exalt Christ. I would like to learn more about these matters. May God be pleased to use His Word to wound and to heal as only He can. All praise to Soverigh Grace!

“ Would love to hear more on this subject. ”
May Our Heavenly Father bless this sermon to the good of many souls. May The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ be moved to obey the His commands and work to reach all people with the Gospel of Grace. May Pastors be led to lead their congregations in the Truth rather than in tradition. May the sin of racism be overcome by the Love of God. John 3:16. God be praised & God bless all who read this comment. :)

“ Great Sermon!, it was taylor fit, a good medicine ”
it clear many doubts, give nderstanding about the purpose of our Master in shaping and making us fit for heaven, to avoid the complaining of the wilderness wanderings, and instead bring glory to his name as God develops that attitude of trust, as Jesus said I came not to do my will but He who sent me, if a seed do not die can not bring forth fruit, i guess it is the same with us, God do empty us of our demands for a better life, and make as Jesus meek and lowly of heart, God lives the contrite and the humble, and give them grace, it is true, that as the children of israel realized the deliverance actually brought more trails and testings, but instead of wanting to go back to bondage, as the preacher said mentioned romans 8, all things worked for good to them that love God and are called according to his purposes, and having the right attitude and disposition, knowing that He who brought the trial, brought it with the purpose of making us more like Christ, when we are convinced of that we can rejoice, even when we sorrow, it has been difficult to swallow that the Lord love me, when i lost every thing dear to me, immediate family (now overseas in the US)job, father, friendship, money, reputation, etc, but i got a little taste of His sufferings and love him more for his uncond love

“ Great Sermon! ”
Having often logged on and been edified by many Beacon sermons via the webcast, just thought I would leave a comment for a change. As the Lord would have it, Dianna and I had read Revelation 12 together earlier in the day, and then being very much encouraged by this particular message, the Lord used it to give me an even greater boldness for winessing the truth of the gospel throughout the day, including being a "a one man, flash mob" to sing His praise at a local restaurant. How wonderful it is to witness His work of uniting our hearts together for His praise through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is one of the best sermons I have ever heard on this subject. Pastor Barkman handles this subject with the objectivity, sensitivity, & Biblical authority which is sorely lacking in so many discussions of the topic of Bible versions. Thank you for posting this sermon!

“ Extremely important message! ”
I first heard this maybe seven years ago, at the urging of a friend. This sermon, more than the topic of alcohol, will give you great insight in how to properly interpret scripture. This message has helped me immeasurably, as I have wrestled with various doctrines over the years. Please everyone, listen to and learn from this!
