“ Listen and Learn! ”
This is a much needed wake-up call for people who want the title Reformed and denominational name Baptist. It clearly points out the paradox of such a name as Reformed Baptist.

“ Thank you . . . ”
Brother Modene, thank you for the message of last Sunday--I praise the Lord for your preaching, I am blessed to have both my Local church's preaching pastor and you most weeks. The juxtaposition of bible references between the sermons (my pastors message centered on rememberence of what the Lord has done for us as believers, his scripture was Joshua chapter 23) was encouraging in that both truths about the Father's promise of discipline in His displeasure ( the close of Joshua 23)and His promise of the ultimate gift imaginable (your closing scriptural reference and the close of your sermon feed the flame of the Spirit inside me. I thank the Father for the convergence of ideas also ( you both mentioned remember the time of our salvation in your messages)-- true and faithful preaching echoes through the ages, Amen

“ Troubled ”
Many good points, but I fear some presuppositions have blurred the application of the Scriptures. What instrument, rhythm, harmony, melody, etc. has not been used for carnal or worldly purposes? If all things have, in one way or another, been tainted by the world, how does one determine which of these are worldly and which are available for sacred use? Why give the world so much credit? Who says the world owns this or that style of music? If it sounds angry, it sounds angry. Avoid it for that, not for the fact that the world "used it first." Whether first or second, the world has used everything for evil purposes, even the names of Father and Son! Should we, therefore, avoid using God's name in a sacred context? Does not man look on the outward appearance while the LORD looks on the heart? The LORD looks on the heart, yet nothing was said about love for God and neighbor (the greatest commandment) as the essential component of what is truly sacred. "But the greatest of these is love." Honest discernment and self-examinations for the both the messenger and the hearer.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Wonderful sermon, church has become a big business, programs, especially music, trying to draw large crowds, when the scripture says, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate,. and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at, Because stait is the gate & narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, & few there be that find it. Mt.7 13:14 . Keep on preaching the true gospel

“ Pastors are selling tickets to their meetings? ”
Same as gambling for his garments, at the cross, who is the most annointed, they care nothing for THE ONE ON THE CROSS, just the inheritance.

I had almost given up on hearing any sound preaching again. I am 70 years old and have seen the demise of faithful preaching in my lifetime. Your preaching is fearless just like in days gone by. I will be praying for you, that God will continue to give you boldness and clear thinking to guide you in your calling. Nearly all of the churches in our area have lost their way and are preaching to itching ears. I am so thankful to be able to listen to your sermons; thank you for posting them on sermon audio. I know that you must be making a difference to many people who hear you.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Pastor Modene, Your sermon comparing Daniel with someone living in Las Vegas was absolutely brillant. This is truly a great message for those who are fainting and compromising with sin. I live in Reno and although we have some industry here unlike LV, it is still Sin City #2. I have saved this sermon as I want to hear it again several times to let it sink in and to share it with a friend. God bless you for your stand for truth, we need more godly men like you preaching God's Word!

“ If only Cleveland pitched this good ”
I admit Rev. Modene is a guilty pleasure for me because I am Reformed. As usual, he pitches a fast ball at the head of the "professional" pastors. He's right that you will not see this preached in many pulpits. It really gives you pause to think.

Thank you so much for this comforting message. The system of calvinism is a terrible bondage and has created fear in my life for a long time, because I wondered if I was predestinded for hell. And to many reformed christians Calvin is almost super-human, much like a pope. I am not denying Calvin's salvation or his zeal for God, but he was totally human and capable of very serious error like all of us.

“ Extremely helpful ”
This sermon has been immensely helpful to me. Nowadays people seem to fall into two extremes. Many people say that Christians might live pretty much anyway they want without consequences and some say that true Christians do not sin anymore at all. But both of these have been proved faulty by the mere realities of life. I am glad for this clear and straightforward biblical teaching on this much distorted issue.

I was just thinking about reading some of Mr. Sproul's works, but after hearing this, I think I'll keep away from them. This information is sad and shocking.

thank you for this message - I especially appreciated the reminder of Romans 14:19-21 - so many good Christians have been and are being hurt by what is no more than a bill of goods foisted on them by a self serving industry -
