“ Great Sermon! ” What a wonderful message. What a blessing that some people can go to a church that teaches the uncompromising word. I wish I had one.
“ Great Sermon! ” I was just meditating on 2 kings 23 and also thinking about this sermon- you know the mistake that the Israelites made prior to this point was to lose the book. Over years this led to the most disgusting level of witchcraft and rebellion. I see a parallel- we lost the book in the last 50 or so years and folk think that the esv and the nkjv etc are the book, but the salvation of the nation of Israel is dependent upon the supernatural working of the god of Israel and he will not bless a fake book ( thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light into my path). You are so very right.
“ Great Sermon! ” Sadly there is no preaching from the bible in the locality - the king James bible Has been replaced by the so called modern versions- we reach the lost by something called the alpha course that promotes ecumenism , the so called evangelIcal churches use emergent programmes. I could go on and on about the poison in the pot and there seriously is no-one here putting in the meal.
I am standing on the gates of hell shall not prevail... So thankful that there are still places in this world preaching the truth from gods preserved word- the king James bible. Keep preaching-I feel better already !!!
“ Great Sermon! ” Just when I start to think one way, I listen to another of Pastor Peacock's sermons and he sets me right. I thank God that Pastor Peacock can tell it like it is. It has helped me no end.
“ Great Sermon! ” You body slammed me against the wall on this one!! I've been going to this great bible based teaching church, BUT the first thing I noticed and commented on is they don't have a King James Bible. The preacher said "Oh, I use that one at home but...and then he said that the NIV was easier to use in church. It bothered me but I thought but he is so biblical on his teaching. Well I'm out of that church. This is the second church I've gone to that use the NIV. GOD IS GOOD. He will get the message to you one way or another. Thank God for your preaching.

“ Great Sermon! ” So very true- I think in my dealings with Christians / church systems you can see a real pattern - a spirit behind folks. There is a definite spirit that is self righteous of its own works and judgemental towards others that don't do exactly what they do. Man are those folk difficult to engage with- I have a guy that I am on contact with who just refuses any type of comment or communication because he has labelled me a Sunday worshipper and a papist - he's so consumed with his own righteousness that I feel he would spit on me if he saw me. That's a spirit and it's not the holy spirit. Am I perfect - no I'm a filthy rotten sinner who is totally reliant upon the blood of Christ - that's the only way on which I can connect with another Christian. If we don't connect at that point you can bet your bottom dollar there will be another spirit than the holy spirit behind the ' church ' or the so called Christian you are dealing with.
“ Great Sermon! ” Very much agree about the issue of how time affects our walk. I remember the days myself that I only thought about the kingdom and how to reach the list and then....time passed and somehow I'm a mum with 2 kids and they have to get to this lesson and have this or that sorted. What happened to me- same thing -TIME. Great sermon.
“ Great Sermon! ” Amen to your comments about politics- I have banged on about the same thing for ages ( I get loads of emails about israel and although I am pro Israel I keep going on that it's just land it's just politics- Jesus came to call a people for his own he had no interest in land and politics). There will be a new heaven and a new earth. You are spot on brother.
