Tho I must say, many of the things he said I've heard from my gentile, Jewish wanna be sister in law who's been deep into one of the facets of the Hebrew Roots movement for a number of years. Hands down, this man is much more confused than she and we're told who the author of confusion is. Astonishing.

Down the street, thirteen turns and six alleys later, Someone and Shayar were standing in a dark area at the back door of the place Shayar professed was the truth. The door was flung open and the father of lies (the devil) yanked Someone inside!
Like Jonathan I found this painful. It reminded me of the spiritual doublespeak that came from the Nation of Islam folks. And people that listened to them would say, “That's deep, real deep.” Yes, a really dark place like the pit of hell is very deep. That's were such doctrines as Shayar teaches are taking folks. And that's so far away from the Truth (the Lord Jesus Christ).

A Christian is supposed to have a Christian world view and not be thinking like his secular local culture. There seems to be an abandonment of sobriety of thought or disciplined thinking in the Conservative Christian Community. Being made in the image of God we are to control are emotion and follow God's advice. We are to look upon situations like these as redeemed individuals and not succumb to the spirit of the age! LGBT groups want special rights not plain protection. ¶ Dr. Morey was pointed out in making some wild statements in bombing the Kaaba to end Islam. ¶ James has a lot of material in the commentary, there is no community sex sinners. How do we respond to the death of sinners?–only to individuals, not to rebellious groups of sinners. There is wrath of God against sin! Remember Sodom & Gomorrah!
“ Great Sermon! ” I might be more open to this if in trying to deal with "KJV onlyness" he wouldn't do it by launching into a constant barage against the KJV itself.

What a disappointment to see a professor read a script instead of disclosing what is really in his heart.
This man, Leighton Flowers, is dangerous to limit God in anything.
I believe he is more interested in debating, which he is not good at, than getting the truth out.

You've really helped me to understand how to listen critically to a debate. Your critique has been God honouring and direct, while being consistent and honest in your rebuke of Flowers.
I pray that Mr Flowers would listen carefully to this, in the hopes that he might thoughtfully and prayerfully consider his stance in this.

“ Modern Day Sermon ” Why are some not a Christian? Simple because God before the creation of the world decided to send them to Hell to burn for all eternity. James White can't tell the truth.
“ '...on this Rock,' the Rock is Faith in Christ! ” Around 17:14 James shows the early church fathers rejected the idea of a single bishop of Rome but was led by an elder system for at least 200 years. When Pope Stephen finally came along, trying to boss people around, pontifex maximus, Bishops of bishops, was used as a term of derision by other bishops for the bishop of Rome. ¶ In the first rebuttal period 12 minutes long (starting at 54:48) If the Papacy is correct doctrine one should find proof of that in a variety of sources, but it isn't. Various examples are given by James where Rome was on the wrong side of a dispute. ¶ I think the most important part of this segment that Dr. White accurately pointed out that doctrine of the papacy did not exist throughout Church history. James does not know of single Christian Father of the first 700 years of Christianity that Isaiah 22:22 and Matthew 16 are connected in such a way to support papal doctrine. The papacy is not the ancient and constant faith of the Christian Church. Even Augustine say there was freedom in interpreting Matthew 16:17-18, a freedom the modern Romish Church doesn't allow.¶ The Rock -- Christ not Rock -- Peter! ¶ James' final 9 min. rebuttal starts at, 1:19:40. Clement supported a plurality of elders, not a Papacy. This rebuttal is very worthwhile to listen to.
“ Romish Church's False Claims! ” Dr. James White got to start this session of the debate, so James gets his first 25 minutes in, starting at !:17. ¶ Did the early Church fathers hold the same position as the modern Romish Church on the Papal prerogatives? The idea of Papal supremacy took place over time due to geographical and political factors. There is absolutely not apostolic tradition for the Papacy! Vatican I made the false premise for Petrine Primacy, but those of his successors as well. ¶{I will put a break here so you can see some of Dr. White's remarks in another debate on Peter. This one is printed out, so for example you can search with your browser for Vatican I and get James' responses on that, which will be similar but not exactly the same as the one's here. http://tinyurl.com/hje864v }¶ The Council of Nicaea rejected the idea of universal sovereignty of Rome. The Council of Caledon granted privileges were to Rome because it was the Royal City, and these privileges had nothing to do what was stated in the Bible. Pope Leo rejected the claims for Constantinople not because of Rome's supremacy, but to protect the rights of Alexandria and Antioch and of course, Rome's. Rome was respected in part because it had not competition in the western part of the Empire and it was lavish with gifts...
“ If Peter was The Rock, he was the only one! ” James, (1:15:01-1:26:50 second monologue) put to rest the idea that Matthew was written in anything else originally, but Greek. The focus always remains on Christ in the book of Matthew, not on Peter. If the Papacy isn't in Matthew 16, it is no where else in the Bible. Mr. Matatics, James White fellow debater, had to prove that the Romish interpretation of Matthew 16 allows only for the Papacy and nothing else. ¶ Even Protestant theologians who say the rock is in reference to Peter in Matthew 16:18, this does not make Peter a Pope. Even if one thinks Peter is "the Rock," he is the only rock and doesn't have any successors. Jesus has the key of David, and not anyone else. ¶ Another rebuttal of seven minutes by James White starts at, 1:34:55 Remember that John was the beloved disciple of Christ. The Apostle Paul, would also be more qualified to be a "Pope" ¶ Peter is The Rock, is --not-- clearly given in Scripture. The New Testament never plainly states that! ¶ 1:43:38 started a session where each man asked a question and got a response. I will say the times are what was given by SA's online MP3 player. Also there were obnoxious extraneous noises that came on, on occasion during at least James' responses, but while irritating they weren't long.
