Who We Are
We are a church located in Plainfield, Indiana.
Plainfield Bible Church holds root in a Bible study that took place decades ago in the home of Dr. John Sproule. Additional families began attending. The result was clear- a desire for an independent church to be established.
Since the birth of this fellowship in the early 1960s, growth has followed. Several men served as Pastor during the first two decades. In the following years, PBC experienced stability. This led to the purchase of 16 acres and a facility constructed in phases including the most recent, a multi-purpose addition constructed in 2006. The campus is located in the heart of Plainfield near the intersection of Dan Jones Road and US 40.
For nearly 40 years, current Pastor Emeritus Kevin Kottke served (and continues to serve) the church faithfully, and through God’s grace, laid the foundation, theologically and pastorally, for this work of the gospel at PBC.
Kevin Kottke
Kevin is a graduate of Platteville State University where he majored in Business and Economics. He received his Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary and is also certified in Biblical (nouthetic) Counseling. He and his wife Deborah have four children and ten grandsons. They have been privileged to serve at PBC from 1980 to present.
