About
Who We Are
We are a church located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.
Providence Chapel was built in 1875 to be used for the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, and the doctrines of the Word of God for the salvation of souls and building up of Christians.
If you are in the Cheltenham or Gloucestershire area, we would invite you to join with us in our worship services.
Our church is made up of various backgrounds, young and old, families and singles, both local and international people. We are united in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we meet for reverent and Biblical worship, teaching, prayer and evangelism.
We believe that the Holy Scriptures provide the only sure and secure foundation on which to build your life and the life of your family.
We make no apology for strong and clear preaching of Christ, sound doctrine, reverential worship, separation from the world and falsehood, and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. Our doctrinal views are set out in general in the 2nd London Baptist Confession (1689) which we believe to be a great summary of the teachings of the Holy Scripture.
We look forward to seeing you at our services.
