The book gives one historian's account of the activity of the church of the new way, the one established by Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah of Israel. The church is kickstarted by the promised outpouring of God the Holy Spirit, gifting many disciples with miraculous abilities. The book covers several of the Apostle Paul's missionary journeys and gives a marvellous insight into first-century Christianity.
