Evy Meredith’s mother, Linda Womack, is in ICU after having surgery yesterday. She had a sepsis infection that required her heart pacemaker to be removed.
Mack Welford is doing much better and far better than expected as of last night. He has regained movement in his arms and legs, is talking some, and is standing up beside his hospital bed. The doctors are amazed at his progress just 2 days after suffering the stroke Saturday night.
Update on Mack Welford
Sept. 19, 2021, 8:50 a.m.
They were able last night to surgically remove the blood clot in his brain that caused the stroke. He is not able to talk and there is paralysis on one side, but he is responding appropriately non-verbally when spoken to, which is a good sign. The doctors have told the family it is now a matter of waiting to see how much he will heal from the stoke.
