About

Who We Are

We are a church located in United Kingdom.

The Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland is an evangelical, Calvinistic denomination, reformed in doctrine, worship and practice. It was formed in 1893 and is a mainline descendant of the historic Church of Scotland of the Reformation.

As part of the Christian Church, we accept the Bible as the
inspired Word of God. We believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith is an accurate statement of the main doctrines of the Bible.

As a brief summary,

We believe:

There is one God, who created the whole universe.
This one God exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Man’s main duty in life is to know, love and glorify God.
Everyone is guilty of sin and deserves to be punished in hell for ever.
God in his mercy has sent his Son, Jesus Christ, who is both God and man, to be the Saviour of sinners.
Jesus was crucified for sinners, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
Those who trust in Christ are accepted by God and will go to heaven.
Only the Holy Spirit can bring people to faith.
Jesus will return at the Day of Judgment.
