We find ourselves in the life of Josiah. We're moving thru this study of Josiah, because he is a type of Christ that helps us see the nature of Christ. We should see Christ as an infinite being; fully God in perfect humanity. He has no sin. His perfect humanity is in submission to His Godhood. He is Omnipotent. But... what's taught today says that Christ on the cross was incoherent, confused, despairing and trapped. The fearful, pathetic view is all you can find today. Fear is sin. If you're afraid, do you have Omnipotence?
The church loves their view. If you try and refute their view, they get very unhappy. Without Omnipotence there is no salvation. They're feeling sorry for Jesus... that gives them authority over Him. Should you ever feel sorry for Him? It is Christ on the cross feeling sorry for us.
All of this is why we're in Josiah. Josiah cleans the temple. He and Jesus are saying, “Salvation cannot be sold!” Pastor now goes thru a recap of 1 Kings 13:1-4. We have the unnamed prophet and a king with a withered hand and the alter blown up (Remind you of anything? Can you say “Antichrist”?) This is part 1.
On to part 2... When you try to sell salvation, you're not selling salvation... you're selling death.
I'm not going to even THINK that I can try to give you a summation of what pastor does from here. Trust me... you'll want to hear this for yourself. So... Open your TextBook, sharpen your pencil, get out your note pad (you'll need it), and... Press play.
Feel free to write or email our pastor with questions and encouragement, and you can call him as well. Thanks for listening. And thanks to all of you who have been led to support this ministry.
