About Us
We are a Reformed and reforming church holding to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, characterized by a high view of Scripture with Christ-centered expository preaching and biblical counseling, serious commitment to the local church and strong families. Please come visit us!
A subscription to our sermon notes via email is available by request.
Our adherence to the regulative principle has simplified our church organization and service. Our constitution provides for a plurality and parity of elders (pastors) and deacons. At this time, God has given us one pastor and five deacons. We have a high view of covenantal church membership and discipline. Our congregation of about 50 attending and about 30 members is enjoying strong unity and spiritual intimacy. We are an adult-oriented church, not program-oriented. We love children and do provide a nursery for those under four. We believe each child's parents are primarily responsible for his rearing, including the nurture of his soul. Our public worship services are carefully planned in each element and consist of public Scripture readings with brief expositions, prayers of invocation, confession, illumination, petition, and thanksgiving, intelligent congregational hymn-singing, expository preaching, giving, the ordinances of baptism (as we have opportunity) and the Lord’s Supper (weekly). We maintain a Bible study hour for all ages led by our pastor instead of an age-segregated Sunday school.
We emphasize Bible teaching and preaching. Sermons are Christ-centered, simultaneously aimed at edification and evangelism, always seeking God's glory above all. Our preaching is Christ-centered, expository, theological, applicatory, and substantial, typically about 45 minutes and full of matter. Audio recordings are available on cassette and digital CD. We offer an assistive listening system to our hearing-impaired congregants.
