you know what to do, right? Okay, just making sure everything's
all good. All right, 1 Chronicles chapter one, please, and then
we'll read verse one. All right, first of all, I just
want to mention before some people online and other people think
that I'm sick, so I am not sick. I know I sound sick, so if I
shake your hand, if I come forward to you, please don't run away,
okay? So I am not sick. What's going on is that I'm taking
this new medication. For my as you know I have severe
allergies and some onliners already knew that as well But I think
it's healing actually so I was surprised I didn't think would
heal me, but it's in a healing process so because of that There's
a lot of stuff over here. Okay, so I don't know how long
this will last I don't know how many YouTube videos will be posted
me talking like Like that but Just put up with me for a couple
days or weeks, God knows how long. Maybe the rapture will
hit before then. Alright, 1 Chronicles chapter
1 and verse 1. And yes, you're reading the right
verse. Adam, Sheth, and Enosh. Our whole nearly one hour sermon
will be based on that one verse right there. Adam, Sheth, and
Enosh. Now if you look at these names,
what are your thoughts running in your minds concerning these
names? So Adam is obviously a name that
we all know very easily concerning the details of his life, but
concerning Sheth and Enosh, not so much. So I believe that one
day when we die, before, and then we come before the judgment
seat of Christ, there's going to be people's information that
we're going to know. Like, we hear big names. We hear
the big names of John Wesley, Martin Luther, John Wycliffe,
John Huss, J. Frank Norris, Mordecai Ham, Sam
Jones, Billy Sunday, Hudson Taylor, William Carey, etc, etc. All
these big names we would know. Let's say your pastor right here.
You would know all the information. But then what about other information?
Then there are some people that you kind of know and you kind
of don't know, alright? Sean Lawler you kind of know,
you know? Kind of know with his video on Divide. Robert Garcia,
maybe you know him a little better because you hear his voice in
the background, you know? Then you know Tom Cho, and some
of you confuse me with him, I don't know why. But you'll know him
a little more. And then other people, they don't
know so much. And then there's Enosh, and you don't know who
they are, Enosh. And perhaps this can refer to
a lot of the people in our church. I will not name who you are so
that you don't feel bad, okay? So, Enosh, you have no idea,
no clue about these people. I would like to preach to you
a sermon about concerning about information on each of these
people and how significant it will be, how much of your information
you are unashamed to reveal to the world. That's why there are
those quiet people in church that you don't know much information
about and perhaps the people like to remain that way. Why?
Is there something ashamed? Is there something you're ashamed
about? About your life? You don't want other people to
know. See, that's the thing. I hope today would be a blessing
to you. If the Lord were to show the
world your ID, I wonder how you would feel. Today my title is,
Show Me Some ID. Let's pray. Heavenly Father,
one day our IDs will be showed before the judgment seat of Christ,
and a lot of people might know some of these big names, other
people we know a little bit about, and sadly, the greater majority
of Christians we don't know. I pray that today's preaching
will help every single Christian because this sermon will apply
to every single Christian. But I am weak and I am frail
and I cannot preach without your power, Lord. God, I know I'm
unworthy, but worthy is the land that was slain. May you look
upon his worthiness and fill within me so that your son can
be lifted up more and more on his worthiness. In Jesus' name
we pray, amen. My first point, look at your
verse, Adam. Adam. He will be our first point. The first point is the father
with the maximum info. The father with the maximum info. That's my first point. So Adam,
we all know who he is. His name is mentioned 27 times
in the Bible. There are a lot of details given
about his life. But there is something that we
mostly know him of. Despite of knowing Adam's information
majority of the times, compared to Sheth and Enosh, there is
one thing that we do know mostly about Adam. And that's not he lived a good
life. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ. If I were to ask you
what's the one thing that you know mostly about Adam, I think
I would guess what it is. He's the one responsible for
bringing sin. upon this world. See, the thing
is, there are Christians here who can be confident about their
life testimony. You might even be a great minister
or missionary, and there are some Christians in Bible-believing
churches who are confident and unashamed about people knowing
about them, and they think they've done a lot of good work for Jesus
Christ, and then because of that, they attempt soul winning all
the time. Sunday school, Sunday sermons,
they help out in the kitchen, they clean the room, they preach
and teach on this pulpit, they sing and they help out the church,
and then what happens is when you're faithful serving the Lord,
then you start comparing yourself with other people. And then because
of that, you have no idea that you don't mean to be prideful
deliberately, but pride always comes in unconsciously. It starts
from there. And then because of that, because
you do so many works for Jesus Christ, you think people at least
got to be somewhat to your level. And if someone is lower than
you, then they must not be really right with God. But then if I
were to do that with you or someone who is more righteous did that
with you, how would you feel? See, that is wicked and that
is sinful and that's what prideful Christians who faithfully love
and serve Jesus Christ don't think. They don't think about
their one sin problem. See, they always compare themselves
and they always look at, look at how many souls I want to Jesus
Christ and they will testify that to the church. They would
unashamedly give enough money in the offering plate and then
they would teach and even preach on this pulpit and then they,
and then what do they have? They have the audacity, they
have the audacity to have the pride sink in their hearts and
think that Oh, you know what? So-and-so must not be right with
God. The other person must not be right with God because they're
not like me. But if somebody more righteous
than you start to point out your sin problem, how would you feel? And see, that's the thing. You
don't think about that one sin problem you got. that someone
can accuse you of. And that's what you're accusing
of this other person of, of that one sin problem. See, it doesn't
matter how much maximum information that we know about you as a good
testimony in this church, you can be mostly known for one big
sin. Here's one thing. I notice in
Bible-believing churches there are these people who've done
great things for God. I've been to so many Bible-believing
churches. They will teach. They will preach on the pulpit.
They've done soul-winning street preaching and done so many works
for Jesus Christ. But you know what happens when
that person doesn't come back to church? You know what the
church will mostly know that person as? This was the guy that
started trouble for the pastor. And that's the one thing they
will remember about that person despite of him teaching and preaching
on the pulpit. Are you being for real? Yeah,
I'm being for real. I'm not gonna name the people, obviously, but
I'm being for real here. So you gotta watch your testimony.
Hey, will you be willing for everyone in this church to see
everything that you thought in your mind? Everything that you
saw with your eyes? Are you confident of people knowing
that kind of information about you? Or how you felt in your
heart? No. So who do you think you are?
You're a good Christian? You got to realize the judgment
seat of Christ is not just displaying, oh what a great guy and the maximum
information you think about. It's truly the maximum information
that you didn't think about either. what you thought in your mind,
what you saw with your eyes, what you said with your mouth,
and how many things do you think you remember what you said out
of your mouth? How many times have you thought that you remember
how many things that you thought in your mind, even by accident? How about that? And didn't you
know the judgment seat of Christ has to show every single one
of those things? You ever thought about that? You ever thought
about it so you think that you're right with God, you repented
of every sin, and you got it right with God on the altar,
you've done so many things for God in the church, but you don't
think that... What about every single thing
that you've done in your life? You gotta realize the judgment
seat of Christ must show every single thing that you've done
in your life. You're not a good Christian like
you thought you were, huh? We get all mad at the wickedness
rising in this world, the churches falling into apostasy, and the
liberals giving a fit, but we get so preoccupied looking at
their sins that we don't even look at our sins. And then we
can't wait for God to fry them at the judgment, but we don't
think about ourselves getting fried ourselves at the judgment
seat of Christ. When I say fried, obviously I
don't mean that you're going to burn in hell, but metaphorically
seeking. God's going to grill you out.
God's going to chew you out. That's what I mean. For we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5, verse 10. If you can't expose the maximum
details of everything you thought in your mind, saw with your eyes,
how can you be ready for the judgment seat of Christ? And
you're too busy looking at all the lost sinners in this world
and other Christians and even, say, Bible believers in this
room. You're too busy seeing that. You're too busy looking
at the pastor and other people, but you can't look at yourself?
Especially at this judgment seat of Christ, you better be ready.
Psalms 139, verse 23, it says, Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and
know my thoughts. You know, the verse says that
when we get our thoughts judged at the judgment seat of Christ,
that we want God to know our thoughts, that we want God to
search us. You know why that verse is important? A lot of
people think this way. You know, just because that you
committed just these small little sins or sins that are probably
minute detail, I can confess that plead under the blood and
I'm taken care of. And that's why a lot of so-called
righteous Christians think that they're okay with God. But you
got to realize this is that the problem is we need to ask God
to search what kind of sins we committed that we didn't even
think about as well. You know why that's important?
Pay attention now. That verse is so important because
the reason why you became a self-righteous, prideful Christian is because
there are things that you thought you got right with God. There
are things that you thought that you'd done good things for the
Lord Jesus Christ. There are sins that you thought
you've taken care of and got the victory over. And Satan,
he knows to attack your weaknesses, and then he'll let the unconscious
sins start to come out of your life, in your thinking, out of
your speech, out of your attitude, and everything without you even
knowing about it. That's why it is so important
that when you confess your sin to the Lord, that you also pray,
Lord, if there be any sin that I don't know, please show me
so I can get it right with you. Why is it there are people in
churches and even pastors who don't realize that they're deceived,
that they're in the wrong? Simple. They don't ask God to
search them on what they did wrong. They think that they got
it all right. And that's just a typical, even
a lost atheist would think like that. Oh, I got it all right.
You Christians don't know what you're talking about. See, just
because you think you got it all right doesn't mean that you're
right with God. Sincere people who love Jesus,
who think they're right with God, and Pastor Kim is so mean
to point out their sin and their problem. Yeah, you know why?
Because these people are blind and in ignorance. They think
they're in the right. Isn't that sad? I'm talking about
sincere, genuine people. That's sad. That's why it's so
important that you gotta have humility every single moment
of your life and say, God, can I be in the wrong? Can I be in
the wrong? Can I be in the wrong? And that's how judgmental people,
self-righteous people come out easily. They don't think they're
in the wrong. Don't I have to do that? Yes, I have to do that.
You know why? Because I'm in the position of
pastoral leadership. And because I have to guide them
into all truth, you don't think that there is no fear of God
in me? When I die, when I preach, when I teach, when I counsel
anybody, I have to. I have to think, Lord, search
me, make me say the right things, the right judgment, the right
attitude and testimony that I should show to these people. Don't let
me fall into wrongdoing. And guess what? Do you know how
many times this pastor may have been in the straight and narrow
way and not compromised, yet he still made mistakes after
10 years in the ministry? And you don't think that you're
okay? You think that you're okay with
God, huh? That's why you gotta ask God to search your heart.
That's why you always have to be humble, realizing you could
be wrong, you could be wrong, you could be wrong. You always
have to have that attitude. That way you can correct yourself
easily, and that's why God can raise you up more. I strongly
believe the Lord lifted me up this much. Why? Because I always
had to have that thinking. You know what the problem is,
is that when this knowledge grows, and then what's going to happen
is that this preacher can say, oh this pastor's wrong here,
this pastor's wrong right there, this pastor's wrong right there,
and he can't listen to good godly counsel. That's the danger with
my case. You know that? Because I'm 31
years old, because the Lord blessed me with a lot of fruit. If there
are older preachers around me who point out counsel and wrongdoing,
you know what's so easy for this mind to do? Oh, I'm all right
with God. I already prayed up. I already did all this, and I
thought about it. No, you always have to have a humble mindset.
Lord, search me and show me what I'm wrong. Mrs. Hannah Whithall Smith in
The Christian Secret of a Happy Life, who wrote that work, she
once talked about pressing upon a group of Christians about the
duty and privilege of stepping into the promised land of holiness.
But there was a lady who asked her, who said, well, I believe
it's growing in grace. Mrs. Smith mentioned to her just
how long Have you been growing into this experience? And then
the lady, she answered, well, I've been doing it for 25 years,
trying to grow in grace. You know what Mrs. Smith asked? How much more worthy and devoted
to your Lord are you now than when you began? You know what
the lady sadly confessed? I fear I am not nearly so much
so now as I was then. You know what the problem with
Christians who do all these works for Jesus Christ think? They
think, oh, you know, I may not be that perfect, but I've done
a lot for the Lord, and you know, I've done enough, and then, okay,
how many months and years has it been, and is there a change?
How much have you grown? Not so good after all, are you?
So you're telling me then, okay, if you haven't grown as much
compared to, I'm gonna even give one year, do you know how long
one year is? And last year, if you're the
same as you were last year, there's something wrong with you. And
amen to that. I don't care how holy you were.
Oh no, you're telling me to do more and do all this preacher,
I'm perfect for Jesus Christ. Okay, you're telling me last
year you never sinned? You're telling me last year you never
sinned? So last year you never sinned, up to this year today
you never sinned at all. So that, if you never sinned,
then you don't have to change. If you did sin, then you know
you have to change, and you have to improve this year compared
to last year. Alright, my second point. The
father with the medium info. The father with the medium info,
and that's Sheth. Sheth. So his name is actually
Seth. So some people know concerning
about Seth that he's the son of Adam. So a lot of people have
heard that name, or some people, excuse me, because it's like
a medium information. His name is mentioned about nine
times. Not many details of his life are given compared to Adam.
But there is an information that we do know. He's known for replacing
Abel's line for Christ, because Abel died. Genesis 4.25 and Genesis
5.3 would give that salient information we pretty much know about him.
Now, there are Christians who are not confident with their
life being revealed to the world, so they'll hide some details,
obviously. So they're probably within that
middle range, right? That medium range? But what you've got to understand
is this, is that in 1 Kings chapter 15, verse 5, it says, because
David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and
turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the
days of his life, but then it has to, it has to close it with
this, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. That verse
shows that David did everything right for the Lord, and it has
to close with except one sin. He committed sin. with Uriah's
wife Bathsheba and murdered Uriah. Now notice that David was this
close in being a perfect testimony. He was this close. But all it
took was just one sin for the devil to take advantage of and
completely ruin and hurt his life. You gotta realize this,
is that despite of all your accomplishments and strength for the Lord that
you've done in your life, you know where Satan's going to attack?
He's going to attack your weak spot. So you may be the Christian
that is in the middle range, you know. Now there are some
services I skip, but you know I mostly made up most of the
services. You got to realize this, it is
those days that you skip that Satan will attack you. And it
is those certain days that Satan eventually gets you away from
church permanently. Is there a conviction here? It's
those days where Satan gets on you, where you skip Bible reading
and prayer. Oh, I've done my Bible reading and prayer, even
though there were some days that I skipped. It is those days that
you skip that Satan can take you a mile. It was just one time,
pastor, that, you know, I said something wrong, or looked at
something wrong, or heard something wrong in my ears, and yeah, but
you know what? It was just those one times or couple of times
that Satan takes advantage of. Those times. You think that you
can give Satan an inch? No, Satan's not the type that,
oh, I will be content with an inch. Okay, I will not pass this
line. Gene, Kim, give me that inch,
okay? I promise I won't pass this line.
I'll never lie to you. I'm a good boy. No, Satan is
the father of lies, master of manipulation. You give him an
inch, he'll tear it even a mile. That's right, brother. Amen.
Watch out. Watch out. Now, obviously, I'm
not bashing everybody in here. You know that, oh, you know,
I expect perfect church attendance, perfect soul winning, perfect
Bible reading, etc. We're not that type of church.
But I'm supposed to preach to you the Word of God and make
sure that you get right with the Lord and get things right
with God. To be quite honest, I could care
less. Well, you know, part of me wants everybody to come, obviously,
and then fill up the room. But another part of me really
don't care, because I know God's in control. So because God's
in control, numbers don't matter to me. But here's the thing,
is that even though I may not care about that, you should care
about yourself. You should care about yourself,
how you're living for Jesus Christ. Let's use some common sense.
Satan will not attack you in an area where you're really good
at, such as soul winning. You're good at soul winning?
Satan's not going to attack that. But he knows that you're putting
the wrong things in your mouth, and he's going to attack that. See, Satan's not going to attack
you where your armor is strong. He's going to attack you where
your armor is weak. And some of you know what your weaknesses
are. And Satan, he's gonna keep punching
that hole. You know what the Bible says? The darts, right, of the enemy.
Now if you've got your armor here, that dart's just gonna
go like this. If he's a really smart enemy, okay, Satan's not
stupid. Alright, a lot of us, we think
Satan is stupid every day, so we gamble with sin, we gamble
with God, we play church, you know, we don't do serious for
the Lord, because we think Satan's stupid. We think Satan's so stupid
that when he's throwing the darts, that when he throws the darts,
it's going to hit us in an area that I'm ready for, that I'm
strong. That's how stupid you think Satan is. But you're so
stupid. I'm sorry if I offended you,
but you're so stupid because Satan, he's throwing a dart at
an area where you're exposed. And you're so stupid that you
think, oh, the dart's going to hit me here. So it's not going
to hit here. I'm going to be fine. There's
an opening right here, but rarely is it going to happen. What are
the chances that I go home? I'm going to be tempted with
that same temptation. And that Satan is going to just
put me into that kind of persecution and family problem, the financial
problem. And then when Satan starts attacking
here, you come crying to church and say, Oh, I didn't expect
this would happen to me. Why didn't you? Why didn't you
expect it? The enemy with the dart is going
to, he's not so stupid to go, okay, I'm going to hit you at
your armor. I'm going to hit you at your armor. No, he's going
to see it right here. And he said, I'm going to hit
right there. If you're a good enemy, if you're a good attacker,
he's going to hit you at your weakness. You ready? Turn to second Chronicles 25,
please. Now keep your hand here. Keep
your hand here, because we're going to return to there. 2 Chronicles
25. 2 Chronicles 25. We're going to look at 2 Chronicles
25, verse 1. 2 Chronicles 25, verse 1. In this passage it talks about
Amaziah who followed God rightly, but guess what? He didn't do
it perfectly. If he did it perfectly, the Bible says God could have
given him so much more. You know what the problem is? I know, I know this, that majority
of Christians in here, a greater majority of Christians
in here are not all the way in perfect blessing with Jesus Christ.
I'm not saying everyone, but I have a feeling that it's going
to be most people here. Because a lot of you have that
love and desire to serve God. You want to help out the church,
and you are being a blessing to me and people in here, but
there are some things you're not willing to let go. And those
some things, that's why God, you know what? He can't fully
bless you. Do you know how much more God
can bless your life if you let everything go? That's why your
whole life has always been struggling and blessing, struggling and
blessing, struggling and blessing, when he could have probably blessed.
Why not get the complete blessing, huh? Why not the full blessing?
Why not the full joy? Are you happy with just being
half happy with your Christian life? Seems like most of us want
to be half happy with our Christian life. Do you like the feeling
of depression and misery? Don't you want the full joy of
Jesus Christ? I want it, Pastor! Then let him have all! Why not?
2 Chronicles chapter 25 verse 1,
Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign and
he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem and his mother's
name was Jehoadam of Jerusalem and he did that which was right
in the sight of the Lord but what? Not with a perfect heart. Imagine if I said Tom Cho did
that which was right in the sight of the Lord but not with a perfect
heart. Tom Cho preached in pastor's
place here, but he wasn't serving God with a perfect heart. He
came to soul winning despite the busyness in his school, but
he was not with the perfect heart. All right, Tom Cho is not here. That's why I can grill him right
now. But see, that's the thing. Put your name in there. Put your
name in there. You helped out pastor, thank
you, thank you so much, Tom Cho. But did you do it, but not perfectly,
right? I helped out the church, I helped
out the pastor, I talked to the brother and sister, made them
feel welcome, but not with a perfect heart. Not perfect, huh? Look at verse 14. Now it came to pass, after that
Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought
the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods,
and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto
them." Wow. Well, verse 14, he ended up in
wickedness and in sin, and that's where Satan is aiming at. It is said that in the diamond
mines of South Africa, they often find a substance that is half
charcoal and half diamond. It was intended to be a diamond,
and the guy was searching. Imagine if you were searching
for it, and then you found the diamond, and you're like, oh,
this is great, and when you pick it up, ugh, the other side, half charcoal. Somewhere nature's chemical processes
was interrupted somehow. Somehow it left partly a cinder
and partly a jewel. It stopped short and will never
get into, what, the king's crown in South Africa. They were searching
for these diamonds that they could put it for the king's crown.
And when they find it, it's right there. OK, perfect. And then,
oh, it's just that charcoal there. And that's God Almighty putting
you up, putting you in his crown, giving you something big at the
judgment seat of Christ, giving you a great calling, giving you
a great task and a great blessing. And then, oh. Why, Gene? Why? Not yet. You're going to have
to wait longer now for the full blessing. You're going to have
to pray more. You're going to have to struggle more. I'm going to
have to deal with you more until you finally get it right with
God. Sorry. Imagine, man, you stopped short
of the judgment seat of Christ. Why? Because somewhere in nature's
chemical process, somewhere in your life, it stopped short.
And you better figure out what that is and get that right with
God. My last point, the Father with
the minimum info. The Father with the minimum info.
If you return to our main text, which you don't really have to
turn to because you probably memorized the verse by now. Our
announcer should have given you this verse to memorize, right?
In Philippians 4, yeah. Notice the last part of the verse,
Enosh. Enosh. And that is the father
with the minimum info. How many of you know who Enosh
is in the Bible? I'm not talking about Enoch who
got raptured, okay? I'm talking about Enosh. See? No. Hardly anyone. His name is
mentioned seven times. No details of his life given
in the Bible. You're not going to find it except
his name being mentioned. The only thing that you'll know him
for is that he's in the line of Jesus Christ. That's it. Genesis
5, 9 through 11. But see, that's the thing, is
that there are Christians in this world, and this makes up
the greater majority of Christians, if not 99% of the Christians.
The greater majority of Christians in this world, nothing we know
about their lives, the only thing that's good about them is that
they're a safe Christian. And that's it. Is that you? Is that you? That's the only good detail that
we can confidently show about you at the judgment seat of Christ.
At the judgment seat of Christ, you're a saved Christian. After
that, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.
And then you lose your reward at the judgment seat of Christ.
You're ashamed. Are you that person? You might
be a saved Christian, but are you the person who is this person
right here, Enosh? You better realize this, is that
1 Timothy 1, 19 through 20, it says, holding faith and a good
conscience. Holding it, why? You have to
hold it, because which some having put away concerning faith have
made shipwrecked, of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom
I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
You know what that verse shows? That verse shows that you might
be a saved Christian But you know I'm right when I say this.
If you're the saved Christian who's living wickedly, you do
know that your conscience has gotten seared. At first you're
under conviction, but you're losing the conviction. Especially
if you haven't been to church for a while, been around Bible-believing
brethren for a while, you know that you lost your conviction
real quick. And then you don't have a care in the world with
how you talk, how you behave, and your Bible reading, your
prayer life, how you serve Jesus Christ. You hardly give a flip. And that
conscience, that's so dangerous. You know what happens now? You
lost your conviction. And that's what Satan wants. He wants you
to lose your conviction. That way you can live every day
in your life saying the same old dirty words, looking at the
same old dirty things, listening to the same old dirty things
in your mouth, in your ear, listening to the same old dirty things.
And then going to the same old dirty places where your feet
go. Same old dirty things that your hand touch, you hardly felt
the Holy Spirit convicting you. You know why? If you're not careful,
it will soon be turned over to Satan. What? Really, Pastor? A safe Christian can be demon
possessed? Yeah, a safe Christian can be demon possessed. How many
churches you heard teaching about that? Oh, I don't believe in
that because Satan can't go inside me because the Holy Spirit's
in there. Hey, a lot of people, they're very ignorant of doctrine,
and because they don't know much doctrine, that's why Satan takes
advantage of them. The Holy Spirit may be inside you, but guess
what? The Holy Spirit is part of the spiritual nature, not
of your fleshy nature. You've got two natures, a spiritual
nature and a fleshy nature. That spiritual nature has a boundary
line that's not going to touch the fleshy nature. That's why
you're eternally secured, see? That's why your soul cannot be
contaminated with sin, see? Because you're a part of the
spiritual nature that has a boundary line around it. But outside of
that is flesh, flesh, flesh. This is flesh. This is flesh. This is flesh. This is flesh. And don't tell me you don't do
things wickedly with these things. And you don't think Satan can't
contaminate this when this is a wicked thing? This is not sinless. This is sinful. And that gives
Satan every advantage and right to do what he can with this. You know, it is only by God's
mercy and grace, and perhaps some Bible-believing Christian
who cares about you and loves you, that Satan didn't get a
full control over you yet. I really believe that. I say
that over and over again. The reason why I'm able to survive
like this as a Bible-believing pastor is two things. Truly the
mercy and grace of God and the prayers of the saints. That's
all that I am that I am. I really mean that. You got to
realize this. If you're this person right here
with the minimum info, you're in dangerous ground and God's
mercy and grace is what only kept you alive. Some Bible-believing
Christian was the only one who kept you alive. That Satan didn't
get a full control over you. So this one, you should, man,
pastor, you're scaring me. Good, you need to be scared because
this world all the time, you got too comfortable with the
world that you lost your fear of the Lord and you don't care
about how you live your life for Jesus Christ. You need this
fear of God back. You need to realize Satan can
control your life. You need to repent and you need
to get right with God. But I know the difficulty that
these type of Christians will say. It's so hard to live holy.
It's so hard to live for Jesus Christ. Why are you telling me
to do this? Why is it so hard? Well, you
gotta realize this. It's still a command, 1 Peter
1, 16. Be holy, for I am holy. Well, that's so hard. No, the
Bible says, 1 Corinthians 10, 13, God is not going to give
you a temptation greater than you can bear. Do you think God
told you, OK, hey, you're going to have to be persecutive and
not deny my name and you're going to be burnt at the stake? Did
God give you that kind of trial and temptation like so many other
Christians He gave? Come on, man. God didn't give
you that kind of temptation and trial. He gave you a temptation
and trial that He knows you can handle. See that? Your temptation and trial is
not the same as my temptation and trial. God gives everyone
differently. Why? Because God knows what's
best for you and what you can handle and what you can take
care of. The reason why you complain it's so difficult is because
you're so infatuated with only looking at your own difficulties,
your own temptation and trials, and you've gotten so spoiled
and rotten that you think all the world's pain revolves only
around your own temptation and trial. What about the gazillion
other temptation and trials that you have not experienced in life?
You don't know what a heart is. It's not hard, it's because you've
gotten so comfortable in this America comfortable life. So
comfortable you have to have something pop out every two seconds
and then it's not fast enough. You've gotten too comfortable
and spoiled. That's why. God's never going
to give you a command that's impossible. So you gotta take
comfort and peace in that. You gotta say, you know what
your problem is? You don't have faith. You don't believe in God.
You don't believe God is there to give you the victory, to give
you the strength, that this is a trial you can handle, that
you can overcome. You don't believe in Him, period.
That's your problem. You gotta have faith that God
is a good God, that God is a powerful God, and you can do all things
through Him, and stop getting so much into the flesh where
you feel pain. Start getting into the spirit
where you say, I'm gonna defeat this flesh. Many might be despaired about
being in Enosh, in the church. Some of you, after hearing this
message, you might go, man, pastor, You know, what's the point of
living for Jesus Christ? There's so much work and I'm such a wicked
person. You got to realize this, there
is so much hope. Didn't you know that you could
be the person who's an Enosh, but could be better than all
of us? No, I don't believe you pastor. See, that's your problem.
You have so much little faith in God's power. You can be better
than me. I strongly believe in that. You
know why? You got a God who's more powerful.
Oh, pastor, like, you know, I haven't been through the trials and temptation.
I got to go through many years of experience like you. I got
to do this and this and this. Hey, man, who are you looking
at? Are you looking at my race or are you looking at Jesus Christ?
You better be looking at Jesus Christ. You got to realize this.
God can make you better than anybody else at the judgment
seat of Christ. You might go, no, I'm too despaired.
Well, you got to realize this. If you read Genesis 5, every
generation seems to get worse. Enosh, right here, is the third
in line from Adam. But if you keep reading down,
the Bible says that wickedness was so great that no one was
righteous pretty much except Noah. So God killed the whole
world. Man, that's despairing. I get it. But guess what? There
was a person. whose name was Enoch. And he
had the best record, better than Adam, the first person. Enoch was much better than Adam.
That the Bible says because he walked with God, God raptured
him. Before that tribulation of Noah's
flood came down and drowned the whole world of God's judgment.
Now get this now. You've got to realize that God,
He can transform an Enoch into an Enoch. I'm an Enoch and I can never
get right for God. No. There's an Enoch. There's an Enoch here. But will
you be willing? That's the thing. Who are you
today after you heard this message? Are you an Adam? A person who
had the maximum information that you're proud of for the Lord
Jesus Christ. But to be quite honest, you're
not so perfect after all. You're just self-righteous and
unconsciously prideful. Are you Seth, are you a Seth? You might
be a person, which I think is a greater majority. There are
people who do great things for the Lord Jesus Christ and love
God, help out this church. There are some things that they
didn't let go. Some things they're still sitting
and messing up. Or perhaps some of you, you're
an Enosh. You're a person that you're not proud to be a Christian
because you're such a wicked person. You messed up. But guess
what, God can transform any of these people, Adam, Sheth, Enosh,
into an Enoch. What was Enoch known for? He
was known for simply, nothing great, not preaching on the pulpit,
not teaching, not drawing little doodles, and not winning hundreds
of souls to salvation. Just one simple thing that you
should have known all this time, Enoch walked with God. And he was not, for God took
him. That's all it is. Just walk with
God. The temptation trial God gave
you to bear. And trust me, naturally, you
will grow. Naturally, you will become that
person that can be better than anybody in this room. At the
judgment seat of Christ, don't let me be the person as the best
person in this church at the judgment seat of Christ. You
be the one. Every head bow and every eyes
shut. The altar call is open. If the Lord laid upon your heart,
you can come forward here on the altar's floor. We got room
over here, you can come forward here or on the aisle if the Lord
laid upon your heart. You can pray in your seats or
you can pray here on the altar's floor, however way the Lord laid
upon your heart. Are you an Adam? Are you a Seth? Are you an Enosh? Which one are
you? What is your ID? One day at the
Jesuit seat of Christ, God's gonna say, show me your ID. What
will it be? We always want to make sure each
and every person is saved. We don't want anyone to burn
in hell after they die. So I would like to ask you this
question. If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you
can go to heaven? You might say, man, pastor, I'm
not sure if I can go to heaven. We want you to get saved right
now. It's so easy, so easy to get saved. Three simple steps. Step number one, you've got to
realize that sin is the problem and God judges every sin with
hell forever. You might say, well, pastor,
I've sinned in my life before. I don't want to burn in hell.
Well, step number two, Jesus is God who died, buried, and
resurrected. And every one of you heard that
story like a thousand times, you know, Jesus died, buried,
resurrected. But do you know what that story means? A lot
of people heard the story, but they don't know what it means.
You gotta realize, remember, because you sin, you burn in
hell, right? That's the problem. Why can't you go to heaven? Why
are you gonna burn in hell? Because you sin, right? The only
thing that can wash away the sin is the blood of Jesus. That's
why. Jesus died, went through the
bloody mess. You see that's your only means,
your only ticket to go to heaven. So a lot of people make the mistake
thinking that, you know, to go to heaven, I've been to church,
I got baptized, I've done good things, I cleaned up every sin
that I've committed in my life. My friend, anything you do cannot
save you. Those are good works. No work,
no effort you do saves you. If you think good works save
you, why did Jesus even bother dying for you? See? He died because
that's the only thing that can save you, what he did on the
cross. So we're in step number three. So step number three,
all you need to do is just say to God, say to God, God, I know
sin is a problem that puts me to hell, so I repent. I can only
just believe in what you did on the cross to save me. I'm
not believing in my good works. I'm not believing in my baptism,
my church, my religion, my cleaning up of my sins, my getting myself
right with you. No, I'm not trusting, I'm not
believing in those things to save me. I'm only believing in
what you did on the cross, your shed blood to save me. If you
would simply say that, then you're saved. It's that easy. 15 seconds
or less. You might say, I don't know how
to say it to God. Could you help me out, Pastor? Sure. I'll be
glad to help you out. I could give you the words and
you can repeat after me. But remember this, repeating
words in a prayer does not save you. Just saying some prayer
doesn't save you. It's believing in what Jesus
did on the cross to save you. I'm just giving you the words
how to say it, that's all. Look, this is completely private.
No one knows who you are and every head is bowed and eye is
shut and I'm not gonna call you out. You don't even have to repeat
after me out loud. You can just say it inwardly.
You don't even have to repeat after me out loud. You can just
say it inwardly. You can repeat after me in this
way. You can tell God, dear God, I repent as a sinner. I believe. Jesus is God who died,
buried, and resurrected so his blood can wash away my sin. I'm only believing in what you
did on the cross to save me. I'm not believing in my good
works. to save me in Jesus name I pray
amen amen if you could bow your head and close your eyes just
one last time please this is out of respect for the people
next to you now I'm if some of you have just repeated those
words after me if you say preacher I just got saved right now I
told God that I repent and believe what He did on the cross to save
me. Could you just slip up your hand real briefly right now,
please? I'm not going to point out who you are, and every head
is bowed and every eye is shut. I just want to, when I close
in prayer, I just want to thank God for your salvation. Could
you just slip up your hand real briefly right now and say, Preacher,
I just got saved right now. Did anyone get saved today? Anyone? Okay, thank you for your honesty.
We're gonna close with a word of prayer. Heavenly Father, I
trust that every single person in this room with a repentant
heart have trusted in what you did on the cross to save them.
Thank you so much for salvation. Now that we are saved children
of God, we've got to get to work. because our information will
be shown at the judgment seat of Christ. And I pray that we
will not be in despair about our ID, our information being
shown. May we not be ashamed, may we
be glad. The reaction we should see at
the judgment seat of Christ is gladness, Lord, and not sadness. But it is so sad, Lord, how many
Christians have fallen into the praise of the flesh, of the world,
and of the devil. I pray, Heavenly Father, that
our ID information of San Jose Bible Baptist Church will be
the best at the judgment seat of Christ. We believe in your
power and promise, and we can become that. Will you help us? In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
