page 187 the parables of the
kingdom I don't want to spend too much time talking about this
but I want to just kind of wrap our subject up what we'll do
is we'll try to quickly get through this part of the study and then
we will well man these parables might suck us in we'll see if
they do it might be a few more weeks in this part of the study
but we'll just follow the Lord but But we'll have question and
answer, and if it's needed, then we'll continue question and answer
next week as the Lord leads. So the parables of the kingdom,
as we've looked at all the basic things about the kingdom now,
we want to look at these parables just as an overview. So his introduction
to this section here, he says, the kingdom of God has mysteries
according to Matthew 13, 11 says, and he answered and said unto
them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of
the kingdom of heaven, but it is not given, I'm sorry, but
to them it is not given. In other words, he's speaking
here about, they asked him, why do you speak in parables? He
says, well, because the mysteries, you're allowed to know, but they're
not. He didn't point me out. Oh, you did. Oh, you did point
me out. All right, we'll get our sound
working here. He's my, he's my warner. He tells me when I mess
it up. He's gotta throw something at
me. I didn't even look over there, my bad. All right. I was wondering, I was like,
man, I'm like hollering and stuff and I'm not even hearing myself. Yeah, all right, we got it going
here. Brother Ted Alexander told me he was watching our Sunday
evening message. He said, I noticed some people
were giving you some feedback. I was like, feedback? Was there
something wrong with the mic or something? He said, no, no,
no. He said that people were talking or whatever. I said, yeah, it's
an interactive study usually. He's like, oh. He's used to the,
you just get up, holler for an hour and a half, and then sit
down. So we do interactive. I want
to make sure you guys are getting it, right? All right, so other
passages here that deal with this idea of mystery. Mark chapter 4 verse 11 says,
and he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery
of the kingdom of God, but unto them that are without, all these
things are done in parables. Luke chapter 8 verse number 10
says, and he said, unto you it is given to know the mysteries
of the kingdom of God, but to others in parables that seeing
they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. So
mystery is defined by Romans chapter 16, verses 25 and 26.
And just to give you a hint here, letter M, mysteries of God. So we'll talk more about mysteries
then. But here we have, it says it's
defined as a truth. a truth not revealed in the Old
Testament, but which has been revealed in the New Testament.
These mysteries are given in the parables of the kingdom,
found chiefly in the gospel according to Matthew, but also in Mark
and Luke. So we can look at these various examples, Matthew chapter
13 verses 10 through 17 we could look at Mark chapter
4 verses 10 through 13 And Luke chapter 8 verse 10 we looked
at the specific passage there that references the mystery Or
the parables being hidden. I'm sorry rather the mysteries
being hidden in the parables. So that's why I didn't include
those up here So the truth Actually, no, I probably did probably did
include them Because I mentioned this verse and I didn't read
it now to him in Romans chapter 16 verse 25 26 is now to him
that is of power to establish you according to my gospel and
the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of
the mystery which is kept secret since the world began but now
is made manifest and by the scriptures of the prophets according to
the commandment of the everlasting God made known to all nations
and the obedience of faith and then these are the passages and
I'm not going to read through all of those but you guys I kind
of gave the context there of those when Jesus said because
it is given to you to understand the mysteries you see the disciples
asked him why do you speak to him in parables and that's the
answer that he gave and You know, I'll read this here After verse
13, which is what we read earlier. I'm sorry. No, we read verse
11. Yeah after verse 11 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given,
and he shall have more abundance. But whosoever hath not, from
him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak
I unto them, or to them in parables, because they seeing see not,
and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them
is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, or Isaiah, which saith,
by hearing you shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing
you shall see and not Receive for this people's heart is wax
gross and their ears are dull of hearing their eyes have They
have closed less than any time. They should see with their eyes
And hear with their ears and should understand with their
heart and should be converted and I should heal them But blessed
are your eyes for they see and your ears for they hear For verily
I say unto you That the many prophets and righteous men have
desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them
To hear those things which you hear and have not heard them
this here referring to that which was not revealed to those before
and And of course Christ speaks of that again in Mark chapter
4 verses 10 to 13 Again, the same it's it's a parallel there. And then also we already read
Luke chapter 8 verse 10 So the truth Not explicably, I'm sorry,
explicitly. Explicitly, yes, that's exactly
it, explicitly, is the season for my sneezing and my drainage
and stuff. I took an allergy med this morning.
I should have dealt with it. I should have had honey, right? It was extra high today? Yeah,
I wouldn't even really out in it but Yeah, that's why that's
why we're that's why we did the beef I Had creamy sriracha for lunch,
so Anyways Yeah, not so much The truth not explicitly revealed
in the Old Testament Matthew 13 17 and also 34 and 35 This is for verily I say unto
you that Many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those
things which ye See and have not seen them and hear those
things that you hear and have not heard them and also verse 34
and 35 all these things fake Jesus under the multitudes under
the multitude of parables and Without a parable spake he not
unto them That it might be fulfilled which was spoken of by the prophet
or spoken by the prophet saying that I will open my mouth in
parables. I will utter things which have
been kept secret from the foundation of the world." So he says that
this that was not explicitly revealed in the Old Testament
was the spiritual nature of God's kingdom. And rather also he says
the requirement that its subjects be born again. Matthew chapter
13 verse 16 says, for they see and your ears for
they hear. Rather, he's saying your eyes, your ears, not just
eyes in general and ears in general, but theirs particularly because
they had trusted in him. And so because they trusted in
him, they were able to understand or give, they were able to be
given the understanding of these parables. And just the same,
he gives those to us today. Old Testament prophets foretold
Glorious earthly millennial kingdom of Christ the present visible. I'm sorry the present invisible
intangible form Was the mystery okay, so they were able to see
and and I've got a little like a picture thing where Might be
able to pull it up just real quick here. I know I'm getting
sidetracked, right? I So, looky here. There you go. This is kind of like the, anybody
ever seen this before? All right. This is kind of like
the way the Old Testament prophets saw things. Okay, so they could
look and they could see. This is how they could see the
birth of Jesus. They could see the cross. They
could see the descent of the Holy Spirit. They don't see this
because it's in a valley in between the mountains. They're seeing
a cross. They see the Antichrist. They see Christ's return to Mount
Olives. They see the kingdom. There's
some things that they don't see also that we don't see that's
in this valley. Things like details of the kingdom. Thousand years. That's all we
get. So the rest we have to figure out when it happens. And then,
of course, we have, you know, new heavens and a new earth.
We don't know really. We know the description, but other than
that, we don't know what else is going to happen after that. So
we see what the prophets see in some sense, but we're privy
to this information that they're not privy to because we're right
in the middle of it. Right. And not only are we right in
the middle of it, but he gave it right here. Right about this
spot, right, maybe here. And we're over here somewhere. Don't pay attention to that building.
It's not a church. It's just a building there representing
a church. So this is what they didn't see. But along with the
church, the institution of the church, of the local church,
that they didn't see, they also didn't see the kingdom of God
operating during this time. They also didn't understand the
way the family of God would work. And many Jews, in fact, that's
what part of one of the threads through the Book of Romans is
about how God grafts in the Gentiles. Because the Jews needed to understand
that, right? Whereas they didn't know in time
past. This was a mystery to them. So, there you go. If anybody
needs that, it's in the study materials folder under charts. And then prophecy. That's the
third file over from the folder. By the way, when you open this
tribulation here, there's a lot of stuff in there. Some I agree,
some I don't agree with. So if you go there and you look
at that, just know that if it's in there, it doesn't mean that
it's right. So there's some things like that
that I have thrown into my study materials folder. If it's in
there, it might not be right. So I put different... Part of
the reason I do that is because so you can see the chart what
other people believe and you know kind of say okay that's
what they believe okay I see I understand what they're saying
there and here's why it's wrong so like if we do a well not if
but when we do a study through the through the book of Revelation
or through tribulation prophecy and so forth at some point while
we're doing a study through that I'll pull up those other charts
and I'll say see here this is what they say here this is why
this verse does not apply to that in the way that they're
trying to apply it. And then we can look at their,
see, I like to look at the other position and explain why it's
wrong instead of just saying, yeah, that other position is
wrong. Because then when you're dealing with, you know, somebody's
like, well, I believe this. You're like, well, it's wrong.
Why? I don't know. It's wrong. Yeah, exactly. Because
my way's right and your way's wrong. That's why. No. No, you've
got to have reason. You've got to have a reason behind
it. So anyways. So we have these things that
they didn't notice. And so the Old Testament prophets,
they foretold the glorious earthly kingdom, millennial kingdom of
Christ. But the present intangible, invisible form was a mystery.
The true kingdom of God is not seen in an outward form, but
in the hearts of men. Only God knows his true subject
that is today. Now, of course during the Millennial
Kingdom when he rules on earth Everybody's a subject of the
kingdom. However You're gonna have Two
types of subjects you're gonna have subjects that are subject
because they happen to be on the planet at the time You're
gonna have subjects that are subjects from the heart just
like in in Israel of old you had Israel and that was Israel
because they were born into Israel. Then you had Israelites that
were Israelites indeed because they were Israelites from the
heart, that they followed the God of Israel from the heart,
and not just because they happened to be born into Israel and they
happened to follow the rules, so to speak. So just the same,
we're gonna have that during the kingdom age as well, or the
millennial kingdom there as well. So in these parables, The key
word is like. I want you to remember that. If you've got your book there,
circle it. Like. They describe the perceived appearance or manifestation
of the kingdom of God during the course of the present age
on the major, I'm sorry, one of the major, yeah, he says on
of the major themes. That's why I was confused. One
of the major themes in these parables The kingdom is that
there are within the kingdom of heaven two spheres the sphere
of religious profession or the sphere of profession and the
sphere of Possession that's actually for next week, but you can take
it fine Peek over Mike's shoulder or
something if he's got one So you have those two spheres possession
profession possession that's the The religious and the regenerated
y'all know the difference between the two when you're going into
that you have those that profess Christ By the way, some that
profess Christ also possess him however, some that profess don't
possess and So you have those that are regenerated and those
that just profess And then you have those that are regenerated
and perfect. Actually, I guess if you're regenerated you're
going to profess Christ. So obviously Those possessors are also professors
but there are those that are only professors and not both. Right. So, letter A, the necessity
of regeneration in the kingdom. Remember, we already talked about
this in previous lessons on this, but we'll talk about the necessity
of regeneration again from the perspective of parable. Excuse me, sorry. The parable of the four soils. This is a fun one. especially
since I just tilled up, well, he started it. We tilled up the
yard yesterday, and it was a blessing. And so, you know, you, what's
that? I feel pretty good after doing
that, so, good. So, you have four soils. Let's
look at it. Matthew chapter 13, verses three
through nine. He spake many things unto them in parables, saying,
behold, a sower went forth to sow. And when he sowed, some
seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them
up. Some fell upon stony places where they had not much earth.
And forthwith, they sprung up because they had no deftness
of earth. When the sun was up, they were
scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away. Some fell among thorns, and thorns
sprung up and choked them, Other fell into good ground and brought
forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." Son, that's why I said
you gotta let it dig deep, right? You let that tiller get down
there so that there's depthness of earth. Because you go planting
plants in there and if you just hit the surface this far down,
well, Your plant's going to grow. It's going to grow up and it's
going to die. Because when the sun comes out
and hits it, it's going to say, oh, I can't handle it. Or the
wind's going to blow and it's going to just fall over because
there's no root in it. And so that's why we go at least
12 inches down into the ground. So there's your spiritual lesson
to your labor yesterday. All right, so Matthew chapter
or verse number 18 through 23, he gives the explanation. Okay, the spiritual application.
Hear ye therefore, the parable of the sower. When any man, or
when anyone, heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth
it, then cometh the wicked one. I'm sorry, understandeth it not.
You know, you just leave words out sometimes. I try to be real
careful not to do that. When anyone heareth the word
of the kingdom and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked
one, and catcheth away. that which was sown in his heart.
This is he which received seed by the wayside. But he that received
the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word,
and anon with joy receiveth it. Yet he hath no root in himself,
but doereth for a while. For when tribulation or persecution
ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He
also that receiveth seed among the thorns, is he that heareth
the word, and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness
of riches, toke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he
that receiveth seed, rather he that receiveth seed into the
good ground, is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it,
which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth some Hundredfold
some 30. I'm sorry some 60 and some 30
so We have here the seed the debt or the explanation of it
numbers a through e the seed is the We're the kingdom okay,
and first we have a picture of those who don't understand and
that is that is those who receive the seed by the Wayside out there by the wayside. And
then we have those that it represents a shallow, emotional hearing
of the Word of God. They received it by the, or in
the what? The stony places, yes. Then we have the thorny ground
pictures the hearer who is choked. Choked out by cares and riches,
he becometh unfruitful. Very good. Unlike the choking
out that I'm having from pollen. All right, so then the next parable
we have is in Matthew chapter 20 verses 1 through 16. The kingdom
of God is like unto a man that is an Householder, I'm pausing for
the blank that's there then we have Welcome come on in we have
the householder and then It says which went out early in the morning
the higher Laborers I Put down a different word I put servants Servant is mentioned later too
all right, so and When he had agreed with the laborers
for penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went
out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the
marketplace. And he said unto them, Go ye
also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. He went out about the sixth and
ninth hour, and did likewise in about the eleventh hour. Long
day. He went out and found others
standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye all the day
idle? All the day idle. Why stand ye
here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath
hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also
into the vineyard, and whatsoever is ripe, that shall ye receive. So when even was come, the Lord
of the vineyard, saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and
give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
And when they came, that were hired, about the eleventh hour,
they received every man a penny. And notice he didn't say how
much he was going to give everybody else, but he told the first group,
right? He goes out there. Get some laborers. And he says. They agreed with
the laborers for a penny a day. Told them a penny a day. But
then. He gets out there. And. Starts to pay him. It was the last ones that have
been there for just an hour. A penny. But when the first came,
they supposed that they should have received more. They likewise
received a penny, every man a penny. And when they had received it,
they murmured against the good man of the house. I like how
it does that. They murmured against the good
man of the house, saying, these last wrought but one hour, and
thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden
and heat of the day. But he answered one of them and
said, friend, I do thee no wrong. It's not thou agree with me for
a penny?" And then the servants started
a labor union. That's what we do, right? Just
take that as thine and go thy way. Take your check and get
out of here, man. Not your check, I guess. It's
just a penny. Well, I say just a penny. A penny was an average
day's labor at the time. So it was fine. He paid them. You know, paid
him what he agreed to pay him. He says, I will give unto this
last, even as unto thee, is it not lawful for me to do what
I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil because I am
good? So the last should be first,
and the first last for many be called, but few chosen. So there's
the neat thing about, and I don't want to get too deep into that,
one yet. Maybe we can talk about it after,
but neat thing about this is that just the same as, you know,
there's some who, and that's what some people, you know, some
people get saved early in life, you know, and they, they say,
well, you know, uh, God didn't save me from all that stuff that
he saved you from and all this. And, and, uh, you know, but we
all get the same reward for our salvation. One penny. Now, we all get the
same reward for our salvation, and that is to enter into the
kingdom. We all get that same reward. We're all counted, able
to enter into heaven because of not even our own merits, really. We didn't even work. We didn't
even work the day away. In fact, we entered into his
rest. We took his yoke upon us. You
know, he says, come all you that labor and are heavy laden. I will give you rest. He says,
take my yoke upon you. He says, my yoke is easy, my
burden is light. And so we rest in him and he works through us. And then he rewards us for what
he did. But there will be some that day
that are going to say, they're going to go, they're going to
walk by, they're going to see my dad rewarded. I'm going to
say, he got saved four days before he died. We spent our whole life
serving you, Lord. Don't we get more? It's the same
salvation he did. The problem is people go back
and say, wait a minute, I did all this. You did all that, but
none of that had anything to do with you getting saved. That
was God working in you. And praise God. Similar to the
prodigal son's brother, yeah. Yeah, he looks and he says, well,
I mean, why does he get to get away with all that? What is it
he said? Is thine eye evil because I am
good? God's good. That's all we can
say. He's good. You see, he could
just say, ah, these guys out there on the 11th hour, yeah,
forget them. They wasted their life away.
They wasted their day. Sun's about to set. Time's up. Should've got the work earlier.
Should've entered the kingdom earlier. Should've entered the
vineyard earlier. Nope. He said, hey, I'm not willing
that any should perish. What does he say? He says, count
that the long... How does that go? Count that the long-suffering
Lord is salvation, I think it says in 2 Peter. In other words,
he's holding out so that people can be saved at the end. He's holding out. He's waiting
so that people can get saved. Amen. Did you want to say something? You know, it goes the other way,
too. Because some people that got saved young look at these
great testimonies. I'll tell you, brothers and sisters,
a great testimony is one that says, God gave me a Christian
home to be born in, to be raised up in. I never dealt with drugs,
I never dealt with alcohol, I never dealt with running around doing
this or that. My parents taught me the Bible
from my youth. All I can remember is the Bible from when I was
a child. And got saved at a young age,
stayed out of all that mess, lived for God. That's a good
testimony. Now, seeing God's power and grace in a life that
was filled with sin, now of course that kid was just as bad a sinner.
You know, even though they got saved young, I mean, they were
still sinners, deserving of hell. But it's no better testimony.
It's not better that I went out and did stupid stuff for 15 years
of my life and then got saved, and some for longer. It's not
a better testimony because I had more sin in my life. No, it's
actually a worse testimony But Praise God I got saved and
then I mean I I you know wish it was sooner earlier, but I'm
saved but then there's those that it gets saved young and
they'll say and then they'll be proud of it, you know So either
side, you know Some people glory and how much sin God saved him
out of and then other people glory and how much sin God didn't
save him out of Or rather how much? Sin they didn't have to
be saved out of or they'll glory in. Oh, you know, I've been saved
since I was five years old. Bless God. You know, I don't
know any of that stuff you're talking about, which is great.
But it's not anything you can glory in. You can say, thank
you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. You kids that
don't have to deal with those things, you praise God for it.
Thank God for it. That's stuff that you don't want
to have in your memories. Stuff that you don't want to
have back there tucked away that pops up every once in a while
and you got to say, wait a minute, no. No, I hate that I did those
things. I hate that I was involved in
those things. And those are the kind of things that you don't
want in your testimony. Yes, sir. Some of those are professors
and not possessors. They're just putting on a show
for their parents and the people that are around. And then they
get to an age where they can get lost, literally. They prove that they were lost
all along. 18. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, they give them a year
or something I think it is or maybe it's a month I don't I
don't remember but yeah some all the Anabaptists of today
do that they'll say, you know, because the thing is they grow
up in In a completely sheltered environment they say you go out
and see what's out there don't go out and sin but go out and
see what's out there and You know see the craziness of the
world and then come back and they go out and sin. Yeah. Right. Right. It's totally wrong. But,
you know, and then, you know, you have to. So, see, that's
man's way of dealing with, well, we kept them sheltered, so they
have no idea what the world's like. Well, I mean, so why don't
you keep them sheltered? to help them understand what's
going on in the world around them. You can point out, you
can tell them, look, you know, these are these are the things that are
happening in the world. That's why we encourage people to give
their testimonies, because then, you know, the children can see.
The things that God is saving people out of, and hopefully
they can see, you know, the tears in grown men's eyes and in ladies
eyes as they as they weep over the wicked sin that they were
in, and they see that that's no joke, that's not anything
to play around with. Problem is, the Amish generally
just shun those people. You have to be a part of our
society to be a part of our society. And that's their way of, hey, go
out and see what they're all out there doing, and you'll see
that it's crazy and come back. And then a lot of them don't.
come back so it's called rum springer yeah but but it's yeah
it's that's it's wrong there's no scriptural nothing scriptural
about it basically encouraging a prodigal is what it's doing
so then you have then you have the Catholics who will you know
try to put put them in right in the beginning and then they
get a certain age and they say well we want to make sure and
so we're going to confirm them So there's all that. And then they'll
try to, through the confirmation process, they try to do some
recruiting as well. They try to recruit people for
whether it's, usually they have to be like an altar boy or something
during confirmation and stuff. And so you have to have a certain
task that you do. And then they try to recruit
priests and nuns and stuff like that. So anyways. Oh, crazy. Crazy. So, we're going to wrap up here
quickly. Let's try to get through. We've
got another page still. The parable of the marriage.
I just gave you the answer. The parable of the marriage.
Matthew 22, verses 1 through 14. Jesus answered and spake
unto them, again in parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven
is like unto a certain king which made a marriage for his son,
Now, we're just going to read these because we don't go into
explanation all of these. So I'm just going to read them
and we'll move on. And if you have questions after
then, that's fine. All right. And send it forth his servants
to call them that were bidden to the wedding and they would.
They would not come. Again, he send it forth other
servants saying, tell them which are bidden. Behold, I have prepared
my dinner, my oxen and my fatlings are killed and all things are
ready. Come on to the marriage. Man,
I'll tell you what, you don't, I mean, like, listen guys, I
made a steak dinner, come on. And people are like, eh, yeah. I'll tell you what, I'm with
it there. But they made light of it, went their ways. One to his farm, another to his
merchandise, and the remnant took his servants and treated
them spitefully and slew them. Ouch. But when the king heard
thereof, he was wroth, and sent forth his armies, and destroyed
those murderers, and burned up their city. Man, there's so much
here. Man. And he's got one line. We'll just keep on rolling. Y'all
just think about it as we read it, all right? You think about
the things I'm thinking about. But I'm not gonna tell you what
I'm thinking about. Then saith he, whose servants
the wedding is ready, But they which were bidden are not worthy.
Go ye therefore into the highways and hedges, and as many as ye
shall find bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into
the highways and gathered together all, as many as they found both
bad and good. And the wedding was furnished
with guests. I'm sorry, I've got to go back there. It's a picture of what God did
to Israel. There you go. All right. Anyways, yeah. All right. Man,
this is so hard because I want to keep going, but I also want
to stop. When the king came to see the guests, he saw a man
which had not on a wedding garment. Hopefully he doesn't have on
a woman's garment. A wedding garment. Verse number 12, and
he saith, Uninbred, how camest thou in hither? Not having a
wedding garment, he was speechless, Said then said the king to the
servants bind him hand and foot and take him away and cast him
into outer darkness for there should be weeping and Ashing
of teeth for many are called pure chosen of chapter 25 verses
1 through 13 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like and notice
a lot of these say like and like and like and it's this isn't
an exact okay, so when we start tearing these things apart and
Trying to apply every little piece you can get into trouble.
And so, look at it on a surface level and understand that it's
a likeness, not an exact replica, okay? Some people will tear these things
apart to the point where, and they'll try to apply every little
point, every little thing, and you end up with all kinds of
false doctrine coming out of it. And so, yeah. So, then shall the kingdom of
heaven be likened, unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went
forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and
five were foolish. They that were foolish took their
lamps, and took no oil with them. Now, see, some people will try
to, like, again, pick it apart. What about, OK, 10 and 5 and
5. OK, so what's the representation
there? I don't know. I don't know that there is a
representation there of the numbers. I don't know. We just know that
some of them were foolish and some of them were wise. And why?
Because of the matter of the oil. But the wise took the oil,
or took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom
tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight, there
was a cry made. Behold, bridegroom cometh. Go
ye out to meet him. That was quoted at Luke's wedding
Saturday. Then all those virgins arose
and trimmed their lamps, and the foolish said unto the wise,
Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying,
Not so, lest there be not enough for us and you. But go ye rather
to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went
to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went
in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. Afterward
came also the other virgin, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us. But
he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour
wherein the Son of Man cometh. The point here was the oil, the
oil representing the spirit of God. They had their vessels,
but they didn't have the oil. They had the outward appearance,
but they didn't have the inward. Possession Okay, so Yep, gotta
be gonna be ready gonna have the spirit of God now that's
don't don't get that mixed up either because some people are
You know, and they'll I don't want to open that can of worms
right now, but they'll try to make further application than
what's given here Simply a matter loud. Just put it real super
simple. You gotta be saved There you go. All right mark Chapter
4, verse 26 to 29. Sorry, I turned the page. No, I didn't. I was looking at
the top of that page. Parable of the cast seed. Very good. And he said,
so is the kingdom of God. So is the kingdom of God. It's like this. As if a man should
cast seed into the ground and should sleep and arise night
and day. And the seed should spring and
grow up. He knoweth not how. It's interesting.
He says, I don't know how that works. It just happens. For the
earth bringeth forth fruit of herself, first the blade, then
the ear. After that, the full corn in
the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he
putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. I was thinking that there was
more to that. All right, so this is the cast seed. You guys know
the likeness, right? It's the seed being the word
of God. Then you have the plants spring
up and so on. So, excuse me. Man. Necessity so so this was talking
about the necessity of regeneration in the kingdom. So each one of
those parables we have the matter of the word we have the I'm sorry
the the matter of the seeds of the soils rather the seed being
the word of the kingdom you have those wayside the stony places
and and so again you have a necessity of being born again a necessity
of being regenerated or made alive and Then you have the parable
of the householder and the servants. Again, everybody gets the same
reward concerning the kingdom. You have the marriage. They had
to come under the wedding. You have the 10 virgins. They
had to be possessors of the spirit, possessors of the oil. And then the seed cast. You have
fruit coming forth. You have a harvest. Again, this
symbolizing the seed going forth and fruit coming as people to
be harvested. There's many others that we could
talk about as well, but he's gonna mention a few more. Here
it says, the true and the false kingdoms, terrible the tears
among the wheat, which is one I was thinking about while I
was reading this one. In the next passage, Matthew chapter
13, verses 24 through 30, There's another parable, put he forth,
saying unto them, you know what? Let's talk about these other
parables. We'll just do this one next week. We'll do letter
B. You know what's funny? Does your book say A, the necessity
of regeneration in the kingdom, B, the true and the false kingdoms,
and then D? Okay, yours says C. Okay, it's
been corrected then. Good. Mine says A, B, and D. What's that? Under A, I have
A, B, C, D, E. Did I skip E? Okay. E was the good ground represents
the hearer who brings forth much fruit. All right. Sorry. I did
have it. I just skipped it. So, we'll
stop here on our parables concerning the regeneration there. That's
the downside. I've got the the print copy. It's a little older than the
digital copies that you guys have and so what we'll do is
we'll stop here and we'll do a seventh session next week or
willing with the the true and false kingdoms and then the blessings
of the truth our kingdom truth and It just seems like it stops
abruptly right there but We'll deal with it. Questions? Answers?
