This is the Old Trailblazer Broadcast.
This is Pastor Albert Pendarvis riding out again on Old Dan,
early in the morning in some places, late in the evening in
others. And I'm happy to have you folks with us. I'm just bringing
God's message, thus saith the Lord. The Lord called me to preach
the gospel, be instant in season and out of season. So this is
the Old Trailblazer Broadcast. Many of you have been hearing
me for many, many months, even years now. And you know that
the old trailblazer, just an old country boy, the Lord raised
him up, saved him, gave him a call to the ministry to carry out
the gospel, send that gospel into all the ends of the earth.
And that's what we're doing here at Radio Mission. We have the
Voice of Truth broadcast. It goes out over about 45, 50
stations every Sunday. And then the old trailblazer
goes out over a bunch of stations. We have published messages, printed
messages. And we send those out. We'd be
glad to put you on our mailing list if you'd like. All you need
to do is write us and let us know. Or email us. You can email
us there at Radio Missions. I'm sorry. Pastor at Radio Missions. Pastor at Radio Missions dot
O-R-G. That's our email address. And
then our website is just Radio Missions dot O-R-G. So we're
bringing you a study now coming down to the close of the book
of Revelation. We're there in the 18th chapter,
and we're looking in our last study at the fall of Babylon. We begin to think a little bit
about the fall of Babylon, and we saw some of the verses there.
Speaking of when her iniquity will have reached its full, God
will destroy Babylon as He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. But before
He destroys Babylon, as stated there in verse 4, He calls His
people to come out, come out of her. This refers to the Jews
in the closing days of the Tribulation period. Before we go into that,
let me just say the Lord is still calling sinners, one here and
one there. Not many are answering, not many
are taking heed to the call of God. Did you know that? Oh, listen,
nobody wants to be saved hardly. I don't see anybody wanting to
be saved, do you? Oh, we have a lot of church folks.
They go there because of a social standing. They go there because
it's a place to go, be entertained. And I've seen the downgrade of
the churches in my years even. And I see how they have puppet
shows in many of our churches. They have clown shows in the
young people's classes. And then they have a clown a
lot of time behind the pulpit. That's right. I heard a man tell
this on the radio. He had a radio broadcast. And
he said, I wrote a book called I Tell a Joke. He said, I told
over 2,000 jokes from my pulpit. So he said, I put them in a book,
and they're selling like hot cakes. Oh, I'm sure there's some
of the pastors using them. But, my friend, listen, the Lord
is still calling out sinners. Just as He could not destroy
Sodom and Gomorrah before Lot and his family got out, just
so He will not destroy old Babylon until His people come out, according
to Genesis 19. We have a vivid comparison between
the fullness of iniquity in the city of Sodom, and the fullness
of iniquity in the city of Babylon. Listen to these words there in
verse 5. Verse 5, For her sins have reached unto heaven, and
God hath remembered her iniquities. Oh, my friend, folks think that
the Lord does not remember our sin. He doesn't, if they're washed
under the blood. In the 18th chapter of Genesis,
verse 20, we read, And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom
and Gomorrah is great, And because their sin is grievous, I will
go down now and see whether they have done altogether according
to the cry of it which is come unto me." My friend, did you
ever stop to think that every sin that you commit cries out
unto God against you, is held against you in the record of
heaven. Now many folks will deny that
because they have not been taught. Their pastors, their churches,
even if they go to church, have not dwelt on those things. And
I mentioned in a message not long ago, back there in the early
years ago, years and years ago, Any church, any church, someone
came there seeking to be a member of that church, they had to come
before a group of elders and to be examined, examined spiritually. They had to be able to tell when
they were saved, how the Lord saved them, what took place,
and all of those things. They didn't just join the church,
no, like they do now. You just join the church. join
the church with with booze on your breath and and and uh and
uh and uh live in By your side my friend all of that SSS of
Satan the Lord's gonna spew all that other thing my friend But
listen now did you ever stop to think about those sins that
are held up against you and listen? Listen the voice of thy brother
now listen to this verse. I God said about Cain in Genesis
4, The voice of thy brother's blood crieth out unto me from
the ground. Sin does not die with old age.
No, one of our old pastors used to say, even though it has gray
whiskers. No, we somehow want to think, well, old Uncle Tom,
you know, he was ninety-seven years old, and gray-haired, and
hump-shouldered, and slow of speech, and slow of step. Well,
he went on to be with the Lord. Well, my friend, if he wasn't
saved, he didn't. If he never had been broken at the feet of
Christ and came to Christ as a sinner, begging for mercy,
oh, you don't believe in begging for mercy, my friend? Well, listen,
listen, every individual who ever gets saved becomes a beggar.
As soon as you are saved, you remain a beggar, begging for
the grace of God, begging that your loved ones might be saved,
begging that you would walk, that God would give you grace
to walk in His will. Oh, but listen, my friend, listen. It cannot be covered. It cannot
be forgiven, that sin, unless it's put away in the blood of
a crucified Son of God, shed there on Calvary's cross. Peter
1.18. I wish you'd go there. Let me
just quote it for you. It said, Know ye not that you were not
redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver and gold, but
only the precious blood of Christ? Are you under that blood, my
friend, which is the only safe shelter for a poor, poor soul
whose sins cry unto God daily? According to Exodus 12, 13, brother,
you cannot sin and get away with it. Be sure your sins will find
you out. We think now, you know, well,
you know, the Lord doesn't see my sin. The Lord doesn't see
all that's going on, all of the iniquity. What is the prevailing
sin of this day, my friend? fornication, homosexuality, debauchery. Oh, all of those things, my friend.
Listen, be sure your sins will find you out. Your sins have
reached heaven long before you have. You cannot escape the judgment
of God. I know that the present-day ministry
has taken the sword of justice out of the hand of an eternal,
sovereign God. But listen, the present ministry,
that's you, preacher. That's you, my deacon friend.
That's you, my evangelist. has tried to appease the consciousness
of guilty men by a perverted gospel, so he can live in the
lusts of the flesh while thinking that he's a servant of Christ,
and he may have his conscience quieted. Oh, that's the thing
of the day, to have your conscience quieted. The awakening day, when
that pastor, that minister, with his lost congregation, will stand
at the judgment bar of God, which we spoke of in our last study,
stand there to be judged. And we have a, someone had a
song here not long ago, it said, there'll be preachers there with
their congregation, they'll stand there with all hope gone, and
they'll be screaming and crying out, Preacher, Pastor, why didn't
you not tell me? Why didn't you warn me? And one
of the things that gives me the courage to stand in front of
my congregation, whether it be three or thirty or a thousand,
it doesn't matter, whether it be over the air, or just in the
printed page, or whether it be one-on-one in the grocery store,
I must be true to your soul, because one day One day you will
stand there, and I'll have to be a witness against you, and
you won't be able to say, Trev Lazor, why didn't you tell me?"
Because I'm telling you now, my friend, I'm telling you now,
turn to the Lord. Throw down everything. Throw
down your old pride. Throw down your old rebellion.
Throw down your old lust and pleasure. Come out from among
them, and be ye separate. My friend, you can't enter into
heaven with sin, lapping up sin. You can't do that. You say, well,
I thought the Lord saved sinners. He does. He does. But He saves
repentant sinners. Oh, there you go, Trailblazer,
talking about that foolishness of repentance. Foolishness? Listen,
my friend, in Luke 13.3 and Luke 13.5, if you'd go there and read
it, It's Lord Jesus Christ speaking.
I don't know if that means anything to you or not. It does to me.
I don't care for these red-letter Bibles. All of the words of the
Bible are God's Word. But it says, except ye repent,
ye shall likewise perish. And then he drops on down to
verse 5, and he says, except ye repent, you shall all likewise
perish." Now that's God's Word. That's just the same God-inspired,
God-written Word as John 3.16. It's the same identical author,
the Holy Spirit of God, dictated to John the Baptist. All of those things, my friend,
old John, he said, you generation of snakes, who has warned you
to flee from the wrath of God? Repent! Repent! Oh, you ask me,
Trailblazer, what is repentance? And I tell you, I tell you in
the simplest form that I know, it's taking the blame. Have you
ever taken the blame? We come into this world, ornery,
contrary, self-willed, wanting our own way, sinful, running
after lust and pleasure, and we never take the blame. We never
take the blame. We never say, well, you know
I'm to blame for my sin, but one day you will. One day, if
the Lord ever shows you your heart, lets you see, let the
light of the gospel shine there like it did the old trailblazer,
let the barn door be open and the sunlight shine in there,
you will take the blame, my friend, because you will see that your
iniquity has separated you from a holy God. You cannot cross
that barrier, my friend, except by the blood. Oh, listen, my
friend. Oh, the awakening day when that
pastor with his lost congregation will have to stand at the judgment
bar of God and have all their sins uncovered. Now, that's going
to be a terrible time. Did you know we cover up things
now, don't we? We cover up things. We don't
want to be exposed. Have you ever been in a room
changing clothes when somebody inadvertently opens the door
and there you are without any clothes on and, boy, you grab
for the cover? and they drab for the door to get out. But
it's embarrassing. Did you know your sins are going
to be shown to the world? Right now, a poor old lost, waking
sinner, the Lord doesn't show you my sin. He doesn't show me
your sin. He shows it to you. And He shows
it to me. And He lets us cry out against
it. Because it's embarrassing to us to know that we're a sinner
against God. And we know that it's a fearful
thing to fall into the hands of a living God. Oh, my friend,
don't do that. Don't go on in your sin. Don't
go on in your wicked way. You say, What shall I do, pastor?
Turn to the Lord, look to the Lord, cry out against sin, ask
the Lord, pray these two prayers. Would you do that, my friend?
Maybe you a little old lady up there somewhere in the hills,
Can't get out to go to church anymore. But you know what you
can do. I have folks write me. I'm 83
years old, Pastor, they say. I'm 83 and I'm not saved. What
can I do? Ask the Lord to save you. Ask
the Lord first to show you your heart. If you ever see your heart,
you'll cry out, Lord save me. Lord, show me myself, and then
show me Christ. You say, what would I—what would
you suggest that I read, pastor? Go there and read the Book of
John. Read it two or three times over, not in one sitting. Read
it today, read it tomorrow, and then pray this prayer. Lord,
show me my own heart. The old trailblazer said that
you would show me my heart if I asked you. And then, when he
does that, you can begin to pray, Lord, show me Christ. Show me
that Christ died for me. My friend, many, many believe
Christ died as just a fact, just a fact like that, you know, just
historical facts. But that's not salvation. Show
me Christ that he died for me. Lord, would you do that? The
old trailblazer said you'd show me. Would you do that? I ask
you, my friend, don't be ashamed to call on the Lord. Don't worry
about what your neighbors think. Don't worry. The Lord's not going
to expose you to them. They're worse off than you are,
most probably. But listen, remember the old trailblazer in your prayers.
When you go to prayer, you say, well, I'm a sinner. I can't.
Yes, you can pray. You better pray. You better pray
for the old trailblazer that the Lord don't silence his voice.
You will bust hell wide open. But remember my address, the
Old Trailblazer, Post Office Box 6250, New Orleans, Louisiana,
70174. And our website is Radiomissions.org. Good-bye, and God bless you.
