Ready to Blaze

A hot coal is only an ember because of a previous fire. Within the heat is the residual elements the fire left behind. The ember is ready, at any moment to ignite into a flame when the conditions are made right. so was the state of those who would comprise the first church. From the ascension of Jesus to the enabling of the Holy Spirit, the followers of Christ were waiting expectantly to be stoked into flame again for the glory of God.
