This is a blind preacher from Jamaica, Pastor Morgan. Let's look at our sheet. Scripture verses coming from John chapter 9 verses 1 through 7. John chapter 9 verses 1 through 7. Now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. And his disciples ask him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work. As long as I'm in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had said these things, he spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva, and he anointed the eyes of the blind with the clay. And he said to him, go wash in the pool of Siloam, which is translated scent. So he went and washed and came back seen. Let's hear from Pastor Morgan. And this is just a short word of encouragement to us. To our pastor, Brother Dixon, East End, our East End Baptist Church family, Let Pastor Morgan greet you all in the blessed, wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I think you are well aware that October 9, 2019, I have suffered a heart attack. June 1 to 20, the 14th of June, I also suffer another heart attack. This one, I was told that all person who get this type of heart attack, they always be fatal. But happy to say, The Lord is not yet true with me. He still have me on the land of the living. I want to thank our pastor, Bernard Dixon, and the East End Baptist Church family for your blessing, your prayer, your gift, and everything that you have done for Pastor Russell Morgan and my dear wife. We send love. We send our prayer. And we want to give thanks and thank you again. I am still on the land of the living. Want to let the church know that the God in whom I trust still cares for me. Thank you. And I hope that you will enjoy the time that we are living in. It is so dangerous. But the Bible said, no good thing will you be told if we remain upright before the presence of the Lord. Church, pray for me. My wife and I are praying for you. Thank you. God bless you. And I hope and trust that we will join the woman, the Shahnamite woman, who declare all is well. God bless you. All right. Pastor Morgan, Sister Morgan, if you need any interpretation from that, I can do that for you. Amen. All right. We're gonna take Tri-State Bible Camp. This is the camp that we've been associated with since last summer. Some of our children went there for Bible camp. And so now I think they're probably ingrained in our support. So we ask your continued prayers. So let's look at 2 Timothy 3, verses 14 through 17. 2 Timothy 3. 14 to 17. 14 says, but you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Let's hear from the camp. Welcome to Tri-State Bible Camp. For over 65 years, Tri-State has been meeting the needs of churches and families in the Northeast. With summer camps that are designed for teenagers, juniors, and families, and with year-round retreats that are designed for various age groups. Our focus here at Tri-State is to minister the Word of God. in an environment that's protected from the distractions of our day-to-day life that are so often there, all while we are surrounded by the beauty of God's wondrous creation. Our desire here at Tri-State is that every camper who comes here, that they would be refreshed physically and challenged spiritually. We want every person who steps on our grounds to leave with a greater love for our God and a greater desire to walk with Him. Would you give me a few minutes of your time and allow me to show you all that God is doing here at Tri-State Bible People. So, I had the privilege of attending college with Chris, and little did we know that we'd both have the opportunity to work with young people. And if you want a place where young people are going to have fun, fellowship, make friends, but most of all be impacted by the preaching of God's word, this is the place to bring them. When they come back to the church, they're encouraging other young people to come to camp, and they will have a great week at camp, and then also impact for the rest of their lives. Tri-State Bible Camp is one of my favorite summer camps. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The games are awesome and the food is great, but most importantly, the preaching and teaching of God's Word. I always walk away at the end of the week with something that I can add to my own personal walk with God, whether it be in chapel services, cabinet devotions, or our own personal devotions. you All right. Go on up there. Pour it all in. You want to get it all in there? All right. Be careful. Go around more times. Good, good, good. Good job, bud. Put it all in. Top of your life jacket, pull up. Let's go Raptors! The other way. That's it. Oh, I think I missed a fish. DROP SIDE! D-O-U-E-S-E-N-G-E-N-G-E-N-G-E-N-G-E-N-G! Roll, roll, roll! Hold it down, hold it down! Some of you are discouraged right now in your Christian life. Been there, done that. But the reason why you're discouraged is this, because you look and you say, oh, what everybody is wanting from me, including God, is that I be perfect, that I never sin. So is God asking us to do something that isn't really achievable? Well, it's a great goal, and God says he wants us to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. But you know what I found out a long time ago? God doesn't expect perfection. He expects faithfulness. And what God is trying to help us understand, young person, it starts with the eyes, because you've got to be careful what you look at, because what you look at is what you think about, and then what you think about, left unchecked, is what you one day will do. There's only one detergent in the universe. Did you hear me? There's only one detergent in the universe that can clean moral filth out of your brain. And I will tell you, I'm holding it right here in my hands. Proverbs 30, verse 5, every word of God is pure. I've been coming to Tri-State Bible Camp for about three or four years now, and the real reason why I keep coming back, it's for the food. but not the food you're thinking about, the spiritual kind of food. You know, there's great games, great competitive spirit, a lot of friends, great preaching, but the real reason why I keep coming back is I got saved here. When I think about Tri-State Bible Camp, I think about learning healthy habits and learning more about God. I have the privilege to be the camp director's daughter. I've seen many of my friends come unsaved and leave saved. Camp is fun. You get to play games, eat great food, and learn more about God. So, you coming back next year? Yeah, I am. Are you? Yeah. Camp is a life changer. If you've never had the opportunity to experience camp, then you definitely should. Just this last week, I was able to spend a little over an hour with about 20 guys in a pool, just having some fun and playing some water polo. One of the things these guys love about coming here to camp is that we will invest in them and care about them and spend time with them. However, our primary goal is that when these guys leave here, they know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And if they don't, We want to leave them thinking. Say, Lord, I believe you died for my sin. I believe it. I believe that you were buried and that you rose again. And the best way I know how, I ask you to save me from my sin. I want to go to heaven when I die. You see, eternal death Eternal separation from God. If my spirit leaves my body, and I am spiritually dead, I am eternally separated from God. There's no more chances. There's no more chances. This is my chance. you As a youth pastor, I look for a camp that is Christ-centered, where the young people are isolated from the things of the world and saturated with the Word of God. I want them to be challenged, both spiritually and personally, to step outside their comfort zone, where they can see and experience the joy that radiates from a godly life in a godly environment. Tri-State Bible Camp, through its programs and staff, provides our young people with that opportunity. Having been here at Tri-State Bible Camp this week, I have seen young people not only fall in love with the camp, but more importantly, I've seen them fall in love with God. Thank you for taking a few minutes to allow us to show you what's happening here at Tri-State Bible Camp. Can I ask you to help us in three ways? Just three. One, would you be willing to pray for us? Pray that God would give us wisdom as we continue to run this camp. Two, would you be willing to support us in any way that you possibly could? And three, Would you be willing to send your campers to this camp? Your support is critical to this ministry continuing to move forward for God's honor and glory. And I lift my voice to worship You, O my soul, rejoice. All right, we'll take one more. Am I missing somewhere again? Next week, we can send off the kids to camp. Rakeen, you're ready to go to camp again? You're ready to go to camp? That looked like fun to me. All right, one more, Brother Dave. Reading from Haggai chapter one, seven through 11, and then 13 and 14. Seven says, Thus says the Lord of Hosts, consider your ways, go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified, says the Lord. You looked for much, but indeed it came up, came to little. And when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why, says the Lord of Hosts, because of my house that is in ruins while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore, the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land of the mountains, and on the grain, and on the new wine, and the oil, and whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, on all the labors of your hand." Verse 13, Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the people, saying, I am with you, says the Lord. So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, the son of Shattiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua, the son of Jehoshaddah, the high priest and the spirit of the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God. Amen. So we hear from, we know brother Dave, so we'll hear words from him, just transitioned over to Great Britain. Hello East End Baptist Church. I hope everyone is doing very well. I'm very grateful for the kindness of your pastor and allowing me to address you all today. I am standing and addressing you from a place called Birmingham, England. East Birmingham in a little place called Tisley. Taizli is a stronghold for Islam. All around us, if you were to all come and visit me right now in this place, and we were to walk outside, there are mosques and there are Muslim people all around us, even here. And even in the midst, and I want you to think about this, even in the midst of a stronghold for Islam, God has opened up a small, empty chapel building right dab in the middle of it all. And he's given it over to us for us to use to preach the gospel. This is a church building that we paid zero dollars and zero cents for. It was given freely over unto us so that we would be able to use it for the gospel's sake. And we have seen God do so many wonderful things, even in this place. Just yesterday, we had English classes where we have people from all over the world that would come to this auditorium where I'm addressing you from. And they realize that they don't know English. And if they're going to be able to have a job, if they're going to be able to stay in this country, they need to learn English. So we have the opportunity to take the word of God and to teach them English as the textbook. In this building, right where I'm standing here, yesterday we had people all over that we were able to teach English. God is working in a marvelous way. He has opened up so many doors. God has allowed us to plant another church in Wales. In fact, our first church plant in Wales last Sunday was their first Sunday service. They've been having Wednesday night services and children's Sunday school. I'm just trying to tell you that God is at work, even in a place like Tisley, a stronghold for Islam, where mosques are everywhere, where Muslims are all over the place. and we are thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ opening up this door for us. I'm grateful for your prayers and your financial support and how you have enabled me to stand in this place to preach the glorious gospel of our precious Savior. Even tomorrow morning as this place, God willing, will be filled up, God has given me the opportunity to preach here, and I'm very excited about it. I wanted to share with you just a little thought that God has placed upon my heart from the Old Testament book of Haggai. the Old Testament book of Haggai. I just wanted to share with you just a few moments, just a brief thought that God has given me very, very recently. In Haggai chapter 1, we find a very, very interesting thing going on here. how the people of God are coming back to the land after captivity and the Lord's house was not built. So God instructed his people to do the work, to build the house. Notice with me in Haggai chapter one, verse number two, thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, God speaking, saying, this people say, the time is not come. The time that the Lord's house should be built. Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying, it is time for you, O ye that dwell in your sealed houses, and this house lie waste. Now therefore, thus saith the Lord of hosts, consider your ways. I want to draw your attention to a phrase that we find at the beginning of verse number four. He says, is it time for you? And I want to ask you this question, is it time for you? And is it time for me? We know that the days that we are here on this earth are short. We're not guaranteed tomorrow. In fact, the word of God teaches us that we ought to pray that God would help us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom, that we might redeem the time because the days are evil. I believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ is coming very soon. And there will come a time when we can't work in this world anymore. There will come a time in which he will either just call us home or the rapture will happen. So he asked his people, he says, is it time for you? And I want to submit unto you that yes, it is time for us. It is time for us to go and to pray and to support and to get involved in the work that God is already doing here in this world. Notice with me in verse number four, God said this, now therefore, thus saith the Lord of hosts, consider your ways. Think of that. God is saying to his people, consider your ways. At this moment, consider what you're doing. Are you involved in the work of world evangelism? Are you involved in the work of bringing the gospel to the lost? He says, consider your ways. It is time. In fact, a very interesting thing that we find in this passage is that because God's people were not involved in His work, God actually put a curse upon them. Notice with me in verse number 10. Therefore, the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. Verse 11. And I called for a drought. upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands. And God said, I have called a drought. It's a curse, because God was so displeased with his people, because they said, it's not time to do your work. In fact, he says, is it time for you to go to your sealed houses? That's where we get the word ceiling, high ceiling houses. In other words, God was saying, is it time for you to go home into your houses and to just enjoy your time at home, and God's work remains unfinished? But rather, God says, consider your ways. And because they were not doing God's work, he said, the heavens over you is stayed from her doom. Notice with me in verse number eight. This is the entire reason why we go out and we are actually involved in the work of the gospel. Notice with me. Go up to the mountain and bring wood and build the house and I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, saith the Lord. Now we are not building a physical house on this earth, but there is a kingdom in heaven. And it is not God's will that any should perish. Any person that we see, it's not God's will that that person will die and go to hell for all of eternity because they did not know Christ. So God says in his word, go and do the work that I will take pleasure in it. That's why we go and that's why we are involved in this work so that God would be pleased. We certainly are not involved in the gospel work to impress other people. People will change. Circumstances change. But God never changes. The Word of God says, it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in men. We are not doing this for men's sake. We are doing this for God's sake. And he says, go up and build my house so that I would take pleasure in it and so that I would be glorified therein. So God desires for his people to be glorified. God desires, pardon me, God desires for himself to be glorified in the work of his people. So I ask you, consider your ways. Are you involved in this work? Am I involved in this work? And if I am, how can I be more involved in this work of the gospel? Remember how we saw in verse number 10 and verse number 11, how God put a curse upon his people? He said, because you're not doing the work that I've called you to do, the heaven over you has stayed from her due, and I'm gonna call for a drought. Eventually, God's people got on with the program. And notice what God did at the end of verse number 19 of chapter two. The end of verse 19 of chapter number two, and he says, from this day will I bless you. First, there was a curse when God's people were not getting involved in His Word, but after they began to get involved in God's Word, God says, okay, from now on, I'm gonna bless you. And by the way, I believe with all of my heart, I am convinced that one of the reasons why God's people are not blessed the way that they ought to be blessed is because they are not involved in what God has commanded for them to do. I don't believe that Jesus Christ would give the great commission, and God's people would neglect it, and God would still bless them. No. God blesses obedience. And he said, because you're not involved in my work, from this day, I'm calling a drought. But once they got involved in God's word, he said, now from this day, I will bless you. And we see how God says, consider your way. This phrase, consider your ways, consider your ways, consider your ways, may it ring in our hearts as we consider the work of world evangelism. One of the lessons that I was taught early on about missions is that God doesn't need me to accomplish his work. He doesn't need me. In fact, he could put me to the side, use somebody else, I could do a much better job. God doesn't need us for his work. But God wants us for his work. God wants to take the weak things of this world to confound the mighty. The foolish things of this world to confound the wise. He wants to use people who don't think that they can do all of these things so that He can be glorified. All of us today can be involved in this work, even here in the United Kingdom, even there in India, even in Pakistan, even in Brooklyn, all over the world, because God has commanded for us to be involved in it. I also want to show you another truth that we find here. Haggai chapter number 2 verse 4. Notice what God says, Be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord, and be strong, O Joshua son of Josedek the high priest, and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work. For I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts. God tells his people, be strong and work. And why is it that they're able to be strong? Because God says, I am with you. I called my grandma the other day. My grandma doesn't speak any English at all. She's from Haiti, and she speaks Haitian Creole, French Creole. And the other day, I was just talking to her. I was video chatting her on WhatsApp. And she said, David, I'm going to sing. She's speaking to me in Creole. She said, David, I'm going to sing to you a song. Over the phone, I said, OK, I got to go. But OK, sing. Go ahead. And she started singing, no, never alone. No, never alone. He promised never to leave me. Never to leave me alone. And my heart was just so touched. even out thousands of miles away from home, from friends, from what I'm so used to, God has told me to be strong. Why? Because he's with me. And God has told me to work. And the same God who has told me has told you, has told all of his people. In verse number five, he said, according to the word that I have covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you, fear ye not. There is nothing to fear. We can go, we can pray, and we can give. We don't have to be afraid. Why? Because God says, go and work, I'm with you. So God has given us this passage of scripture. And by the way, the Apostle Paul said this, the things that were written aforetime were written for our examples. So we look back to the word of God and we look back to these accounts so that we can learn and that we can be helped. So the message and the truth that I'm trying to bring across is simply this, consider your ways. The truth that God has been giving me is for me, even on the mission field, to consider my ways and to examine myself. Is God's work being left undone while I'm living my life, or am I engaged in it? God says to go and be strong and work. Why? So that he will be glorified, and that he will take pleasure. And God even told his people, because you're not involved in my work, the dew has stayed from among you, and I'm going to call a drought. God wasn't going to bless his people while his work was going to go unfinished. But the moment they got on board, the moment they got with the program, the moment they began to build God's house, he said, from this day will I bless you. Oh, dearly beloved, we can be blessed by the Lord. We can go in the Lord's strength. We can go with God's presence because he has told us these things in his word. So thank you so much for your prayers. Thank you so much for your support. Thank you so much for the encouragement that you have all been to me personally. I have enjoyed those opportunities in which I was able to come and to be with you all. May the Lord continue to bless you, and may we continue to consider our ways and to go up and to build God's house, the kingdom of heaven. Every soul that is brought to the kingdom, his house will get bigger. and bigger and bigger. And by the way, there's plenty of room. There's plenty of room. May the Lord bless you. Thank you very much. See, we cannot go, and we will not be able to go to Great Britain, Jamaica, or wherever, but the tri-state camp. But guess what? We are a part of those ministries. Yes, we are heavily involved. We're a part of the ministry. So the Lord calls us to be faithful. Consider your ways. Now we have gotten a visual of where our funds are being spent. And boy, do they need it? Do they need it? Wednesday night we saw, you know, the wife and I were talking about going home. You know, part of it that we didn't discuss Wednesday night is that, um, William Carey, the Lord sent a professional printer for the land that he could print Bibles that he could use. It's amazing. Oh God put all these little pieces together. Amen. So boy, you know, we got to invest more time. And as the guy from Bible Camp says, your prayers and then our gifts, remember them, remember them. And this is just a sample. There's so much more.
