The text begin with Paul writing how it is necessary that the Philippian saints work out or demonstrate their own salvation. And it ends on a note of likemindedness between him and them. As he counted it a joy and glory to be poured out upon the sacrifice and service of their faith, so did they count it a joy and glory to be poured out for his faith.
