Welcome to Rock Harbor Church's channel on Sermon Audio. We hope this message is a blessing to you and helps you in your daily walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So please, settle in and grab your Bibles. Here's Pastor Brandon with this message. In a point of the text in Genesis 38 where you're watching a young gal deal with a, I don't know, the established order if you want to call it, a system that she's powerless to deal with. This is gonna be part two of our series in Genesis 38, and so we'll do a little bit of a review, but the whole theme of how to resist the corruption of the established order, that's front and present to all of us right now, especially what's happened this last week with the attack on Donald Trump, the second assassination that happened, which is unprecedented. We've never seen something like this. We've seen people be assassinated, but in two months? So the fact that we're even saying that this is the second time they attempted to kill him, and I do suspect there'll be a third one, and they're basically going to try to eliminate this guy because of what's going on behind the scenes. And so this is part of the established order. The established order does not want anyone from the outside coming in and messing up their plans, messing up their globalist plans of global government and basically controlling all of us. And so what are we supposed to do? Because a lot of us are powerless to do anything about what's happening. I'm powerless to light a fire under the secret service and say I don't know why you're letting this guy try to get killed. I don't understand what you're doing. I don't understand the FBI. I don't understand the DOJ. I don't understand these people. I think they're a political entity now. The FBI doesn't do anything. The Secret Service has failed in two assassination attempts. And then they gaslight you and say, well, that's not happening. Don't believe your lying eyes. And I'm like, I'm sick of it. But I'm powerless to change the FBI. I'm powerless to change the Secret Service. I'm powerless to change the government. I'm like Tamar in the story in Genesis 38 where the system that's over her is railroading her. And it's very frustrating when you see that. But the answer to how to resist this regime that you're seeing form is the same what you're gonna find with Tamar and how she resists Judah. Now, everything she does is not on the up and up, but she does have enough faith to be able to resist. And I think that's the key term, is resist. And we'll walk through this to understand it. This thing, this guy about this Ryan Wesley Routh, more and more things are popping up to find out that this guy's, I don't know, I'm left to conclude that this guy's an asset, an asset for the CIA. And you could say that's conspiratorial, but nothing adds up. So he's been, was alarmed by his erratic behavior in Ukraine. He was recruiting Muslims, Muslim fighters into the Ukraine. What? And this guy doesn't have a penny to his name. I mean, he's got, they found $300 in his bank account, yet he's jet-setting all over the place. He's in the Ukraine, he's in Hawaii, and he lives in a $800,000 bungalow in Hawaii, but yet he only has $300 to his name. He was charged for a weapon of mass destruction, which is a federal crime, and you should be in jail for that, but he never served any time. He's been convicted over 100 criminal counts, never served any time for those 100 criminal counts. I don't know anybody on this planet that has been convicted 100 times and has never served any jail time. Have you? I haven't. Okay? He was at the location to assassinate Donald Trump, 12 hours before Trump, and yet the Secret Service basically lied and said this was a last minute decision on his part. That's why we didn't cover the perimeter. No, it wasn't because the guy was staked out from 2 a.m. in the morning for 12 hours and knew what hole he would come on. How did he not know that Donald Trump would play the back nine first? Because sometimes I play the back nine first. but he knew he'd play the front nine. How come there was nobody going around the perimeter and they knew about this perimeter and other people had said that this area right here is uncovered and he went to that right area, had his gun set up, backpack set up, and yet this was, according to the Secret Service, last minute decision on Donald Trump. I don't buy that, I don't buy that at all. I mean, think about it. It's not like this guy just showed up, hey, there's Donald Trump, I'm gonna pull the gun out. Where did, I mean, no, this guy was set up. So we have a serious problem in the United States, don't we? I think we have a very deep, deep evil problem. I wanna still know who's running our country, because it's not our elected politicians, that's for sure. It's not, when you see a political candidate almost get assassinated twice, we're in serious trouble. We are in very serious trouble. So this guy's recruiting Afghan special operations soldiers, Muslims, to go fight in Ukraine, allegedly claiming he recruited about 6,000 of them. How did this roofer out of nowhere recruit 6,000 people to help Ukraine? How did he do that? How did this guy not pop up on a CIA or FBI radar or Iranian or Russian governments? What are you talking about? We know anybody that comes in and out of these places. You tell me. And then this weekend, something you need to be all aware of, because this goes into the election, talking about the regime that is being put on all of us, right now, The Summit of the Future's happening in New York City at the UN right now, right now, this weekend, okay? And what's happening there is they are voting to go to global government, okay? Now, you didn't vote for that, but by default, because our politicians are in line with this, this is what will happen if Donald Trump does not become president. you will go into global government, because this is the plan this weekend on what they're doing. So only UN members are voting, not you, okay? They're creating what they call an emergency platform. which gives the Secretary General complete and absolute control in emergency situations. And he can decide how long the emergency situation will go, and he can just keep renewing it and renewing it and renewing it as long as he thinks it's an emergency. And then other countries that are voting for this will comply with what the Secretary General says. And this, I read through it this weekend, It's like reading a manual in a foreign language, but it spells out global government. So you have 193 countries, delegates voting this weekend with a thousand plus delegates in three and a half days and to create one world government. What will be voted on? Just give me a little bit of briefing on this. There's three areas of this. Pact of the Future. The Pact of the Future gives the Secretary General emergency powers basically absolute control over 193 countries in an emergency. The countries will comply with what he says. That could be on black swan events, that could be on health crises, that could be on natural disasters, it could be on anything, financial crises, whatever. Whatever they deem as a crisis, they get protocols of emergency powers to tell all the nations on the planet what to do. Okay? Now, if you understand with Kamala and Joe Biden, they're in line with this, so they'll do exactly what the UN will tell them. There's only one man that won't do what the UN tells them to do. Okay? The second one is Declaration of Future Generations. This is the UN's attempt to create Nazi youth. What do you mean? They want to bring the youth of the world into so-called decision-making processes with them in policy, okay? Now, you know that's not really what's happening. What it is is the recruitment of all young people because they want to indoctrinate them because that's what you do in any communist, fascistic, socialistic Marxist regime that you're creating. You have to get the young people and brainwash them before they get to start critically thinking. And so any regime you create, Nazi Germany or whatever, you always target the young people. And so their declaration is to start brainwashing young people. The third one is a global digital compact. This is the agreement that 193 countries will then decide to give the internet and AI capabilities to the UN. and then the UN will be able to control the internet and AI for SDG reasons, for their goals, their 17 goals by 2030. So basically they're going to arrest AI from private companies and arrest the ability to censor, well, the ability to us to have free speech on the internet will be in the hands of the UN. I wonder how that's gonna go. Kiss goodbye free speech, by the way, because the Biden-Harris administration are part of this deal. So this is what's going on. They are voting for our future and I have no control over this. Neither do you. It is the same situation Tamar is in with Judah. She has no control over what's happening to her. It's very frustrating. So as an example, we're facing the same dilemma. So let's look at what happened. Let's do a little bit of review. of the setting, and then we'll go into where we're at. Came to pass at the time that Judah departed from his brothers and visited a certain Adulamite whose name was Hira. And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua, and he married her and went into her. And like we talked about last week, this is just review right now. But you're seeing the declension of Judah's life as he moves away from his family, he starts marrying a Canaanite, he gets involved with a friend of a Canaanite. And what is that? That's a principle that any regime that starts, like a government, like we see in the United States or the UN or whatever, They start with these good intentions, but what happens is they're so corrupt inside, they devolve into an authoritarian totalitarian regime. And it's the movement away from Judeo-Christian ethics that causes authoritarianism and totalitarianism. As long as the country stays or the company or the regime stays with Judeo-Christian ethics, it produces freedom for the people. It produces prosperity for the people. That's what we've seen in America, right? But as we have internally corrupted, what happens? We go to totalitarianism. There are more narcissists right now in media and politics than we have ever seen in US history. I mean, it's like the Mecca for narcissism. They're off-the-chart people. They just lie to your face, but it's corrupted. It's internally corrupted because it's a move away from God. It's a move away from Judeo-Christian ethics. And so it internally corrupts, just like you're seeing with Judah. So she conceived and bore a son and called his name Er. She conceived again, bore a son. She called his name Onan. She yet conceived again and bore a son called the name Shelah. He was at Kezbib when she bore him. And I talked about this last week that you marry Canaanite and then you let go of control and you stay into the Adam's Syndrome to where the man's passive and then the woman takes control as you can see she starts naming the kids which means she has the authority in the house all of a sudden and so part of the Canaanite moving away from biblical foundations is to invert the authority structure So the woman's in charge, and now the man is passive, and he plays the feminine role, and she plays the male role. That is exactly what's happened to our culture. And I mentioned this last week. We have let the feminization of culture happen rather than a male patriarchy, which they hate, which God has established. It's now turned into a feminine patriarchy, sorry, not patriarchy, a matriarchy. When you see that, that means your society is upside down. That's the problem. And most homes are upside down because the woman's in charge and not the man. And that's just how it is. And unfortunately, a lot of people are not overcoming that. And when the woman's in charge, all Hades breaks loose. By the way, I was talking to Terry on the radio about this, and it was Douglas Murray and Jordan Peterson were talking about this. And they made the point that when you see female politicians In international politics, we have seen more wars, more draconian practices, more just chaos when a woman is in place in politics. And that is a fact. It is not proven that they're better than men. It is proven that they're more warlike than men. when they're in office. And I'm not talking about local things. I'm talking about the international level as far as dealing with international politics. We have not seen a successful woman in politics at the international level who has caused more peace and more harmony. Rather, we have seen more chaos coming from them. And just pick any one of them out in Europe. They are insane. Okay? I'm not saying women are insane. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying when they get into that power position and they're not being controlled, you get Angela Merkel. Okay? You get people like that. You get people that destroy their country. You get women who don't want to have kids. Have you noticed the women leaders in Europe, like Angela Merkel, have no kids? That is a psychological clue to their mindset when you see a woman not wanting to have kids. It's narcissism. It's a nihilistic attitude. So if you want to look at that discussion, Jordan Peterson and Douglas Murray cataloged, we have not seen in history a woman politician do well at all. So there it is. So when you go against God's created order, where you have a female in charge, like Eve was in the garden, everything goes crazy. And you and I are facing a female that can't put any sentences together, that's gonna have her finger on the nuclear option. Just saying. I'm just saying, I don't know how this woman passed the bar, I don't know how this woman got where she's at, but she definitely doesn't have the IQ to be where she's at. And that's a fact. Oprah Winfrey has to rescue her from an interview because she's so word salad. This is what happens when things go upside down. Then Judah took a wife from Eris, firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked and decided the Lord, and the Lord killed him. So this guy's cranking out crazy Canaanite kids, and this is Judah, by the way. And because he married this Canaanite woman and she's in control, this is what they produce. The kinds of kids they produce are just Canaanites, crazy, off the wall, narcissistic, you know, types of individuals. Judas said to Onan, go into your brother's wife and marry her and raise up her in air for your brother. And when I talked about this, this is a cultural thing where you had to insure a descendant from, from your brother even though he died. And so the closest of kin would produce an heir for them. And Onan, he doesn't do that. In fact, what Onan does is the opposite. Onan knew that the heir would not be his, so he didn't want to share the inheritance. And it came to pass when he went into his brother's wife that he admitted on the ground. It's called coitus interruptus. So he wouldn't get her pregnant. He wouldn't do what the law required. lest he should give an heir to his brother, his dead brother. And so he doesn't want to share the inheritance. Again, it's a Canaanite type of mentality. And the thing which he didn't displease the Lord, therefore he killed them also. So God's killed two of Judah's kids because they're so wicked, because their mama is a Canaanite. And the Canaanite mama is teaching them to be Canaanites, and they're so bad, God has to kill them. So then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, remain a widow in your father's house till my son Shelah is grown. So it's a lie. He's saying, look, I understand that you need an heir for my firstborn son, and two of my sons have died, been married to you, so just wait till my third one gets old enough, I'll give you him, and then we can go through the Levirate law, and you can produce an heir. But then Moses says, for he said, lest he also die like his brother. So he's like, yeah, do this, come under my authority, but I'm not going to do anything. I'm not going to give you my third son because you're a black widow. And like we talked about, Judah will not do any introspection. about his relationship to his wife and what kind of kids they're cranking out. Rather, he wants to blame Tamar for being a black widow, some superstitious pagan mentality that just being married to her will kill you. and Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house. And what you're seeing here is this is a regime, and she's powerless, and this guy Judah has all power, and he's making bad decisions because of superstition and an agenda and all kinds of stuff that's going on. And he makes a promise to her, and we talked about this promise. That's what they do. They promise you things in these regimes and they have no intentions of delivering on them because they know you do not possess the power to hold them accountable. Look, think about this. This weekend, 193 countries are making decisions for their people and no one from those countries voted on it. No one. And again, they promise you, well, you'll own nothing and be happy. How do you like that promise? Own nothing and be happy? Yeah, you won't even have to worry about it, because we want to save the environment. I'll get to that in just a bit. Let's understand what's happening on a theological level so we can understand how we deal with a regime. Here's the background information that we all need to know about the story, but then about us. All this is for a reason. As you know, at the same time, Joseph has been sold into slavery by his good-for-nothing brothers. And he is being taken down into Egypt. And it'll be a nightmare for Joseph for a while, but then Joseph will become second in command in Egypt. And you have to say, well, why is this happening? Why is this regime that you see controlling things? Well, it's fitting to God's plan. Here's what's going on in the family so you can understand why this is going on. The family is already fragmenting. So early on, the family is at risk of not carrying out the Abrahamic covenant. Because the degenerates that are in the family, and the narcissistic psychopaths that are in the family, are destroying the family. And this family is the basis for Israel. Okay? So you have all kinds of hatred, internal corruption, immorality among the family. Dude, you throw in corruption, hatred, and immorality in any family, it will divide them. It will divide them immediately. So that's going on. The second thing is, they have to get away from these crazy Canaanites. They are intermixing with the Canaanites. I mean, Judah is marrying Canaanites, and he was told by the patriarchs, do not do this, but, you know, this is the mentality, I can change them. And what you saw is Judah marries a Canaanite, and she flips the switch on him. She's in control and corrupts his own kids. And yet Judah is one of the tribes of Israel. The other thing, this separation from the Canaanites, not just simply they act like a Canaanite, it's that they're losing their call. The Canaanites are getting them off track, and that's a satanic intention. getting them to move off of their call to be a nation, to be a light to the Gentiles, and to reach the Gentiles and bring them back to God. So they were not intermarry, they were to keep their Jewish ancestry. So if they start mixing with the Canaanites, they will cease being Jews. That's what's at stake. And here's the problem. The Messiah is what nationality? He's Jewish. So do you think it's a satanic agenda to mess up this family by intermarrying with Canaanites? Of course, because then it messes up the line of the Messiah. And obviously God wants to keep them religiously separate and prevent them from adopting pagan practices. He also wants to protect and preserve Israel from being destroyed by the pagan nations. They're being threatened by the pagan nations around them. And then to preserve and protect the Messianic line from being corrupted and running through Judah. And then to prevent them from perishing by the coming famine that they're currently in. Now, all of that is what's going on in the backstory as the regime is controlling things. And here's the weird thing. God's going to move them from one regime to another regime, Egypt, in order to protect them. And I know that's a concept that's hard to understand, but if you can see all these bullet points, Even in the regime that we're under, there are reasons why God is doing certain things. And you have to take a step back and look and realize, Klaus Schwab is not in full control. The UN is not in full control. And neither are these nations that are voting. There is something going on underneath that God is accomplishing through all of this. And I'll tell you at the end, but this is where your trust has to come. So what I'm trying to point out is there's a reason they're going to be taken into Egypt. It's for their own good. It's for their own protection. And Joseph is being sent ahead. And the only way he could get Joseph sent ahead is to use the narcissistic brothers to sell him off to get him over there. So God is using that to get Joseph there. He'll establish Joseph there. And then when Joseph becomes second in the kingdom of Egypt, he can bring his family into Goshen and protect him for the next 400 years. Israel needs time to grow up. Israel needs time to populate in a safe location. And guess what? It's gonna be done in Egypt. Just like the Messiah needed to be taken into Egypt because Herod sought the child's life. So Mary and Joseph took Jesus into Egypt for how many? Two years to protect him. So here's the thing. These people might think they're in control, But what the text is trying to say to you is, God's in control of this. He is allowing certain things to happen for a good purpose. We'll get to more of that, but that's where your faith comes in. Because it is very difficult, and I'm having a very difficult time watching what I am watching in this country. I got half the population that is wishing a candidate was dead and gone. And I don't know how to deal with an individual who wants people dead. I don't understand that. Again, it comes back to they don't value any life, that's why they kill babies in the womb. But when you say, it's too bad the bullet missed or whatever, hey dude, what are you, a psychopath? What kind of individuals are we living next door to that want people dead? You tell me. What's happened to people? It's insane. Now, let's pick up on the story. Now, in the process of time, the daughter of Shua, Judah's wife, died. Thank God, in that sense. Okay, I'm not wishing she's dead. I'm not wishing anybody dead. But I'm telling you, this is a reprieve for Judah. And this actually needed to happen. Okay, and Judah was confronted, or comforted. So what happens here? Why is this happening in the story? Well, as you can see, he was married to a Canaanite wife, and she was causing havoc, creating all kinds of problems for him, and she dies. And this opens the door for a lot of other things, but it is a necessary ending. And it's not like I said we want people to die, we don't want that. But things are happening to where there needs to be some necessary endings with what's going on in Judah's family. In life, we have these necessary endings that we see in the world. Like within Israel, there's some necessary endings happening because they're getting ready to do a full out ground assault on Hezbollah. That's the next war that's coming. And we're in the window of time where this is happening. So this week you saw the pagers blow up, right? And you saw the walkie talkies blow up and other things are blowing up. That was part of Israeli intelligence, by the way. It killed a couple dozen here and there, but it injured thousands. But again, it wasn't civilians. It was Hezbollah operatives. And you can see some of the explosions that happened. Well, what happened is Nasrallah told Hezbollah terrorists to get rid of their cell phones. And because they said Israel is tapping into them, is tracking them and they can target them because they have the cell phones on them. So they got rid of all their cell phones and they bought these pagers and they distributed these pagers out to all the Hezbollah operatives. Well, apparently Israel's Mossad understood that and so they got a hold of those pagers and put implanted bombs inside the pagers and the walkie-talkies that they had for communications so these things blew up and you might have seen these things that I showed this on Wednesday I'll show them to you on Sunday because you probably you haven't seen this but this is these are the pagers going off but you gotta understand these are not civilians the only ones that have these pagers and walkie-talkies are Hezbollah operatives they're terrorists okay Here's some more. You can watch the guy in the yellow. Checking out. You're going to hear his pager go off. I don't know. I don't know. And then a lot of the pagers did some damage, caught cars on fire and whatnot. Okay, so what was going on in here? You actually almost saw Israel do a full out ground assault. Now they're probably gonna do it eventually. But what happened was, this was the pagers and the walkie talkies were part of a plan of a ground assault to go after Hezbollah. and what they were planning to do is detonate these things off to start causing confusion and cut their communications off, and then Israel's gonna go in there and wipe out Hezbollah. So what happened is Israel got wind, or the Mossad got wind that a member of Hezbollah became suspicious of the devices and planned to alert his superiors, and when they figured that out, they detonated them. and they didn't go forward with the ground assault. But my point is, it's a necessary ending because Israel's people in the north have been displaced since October 8th, basically, and there's about 85,000 to 90,000 displaced Israelites all from the north that haven't moved back in their homes. So imagine you living in a hotel since October 8th to this day. And that's all you've been doing. You can't go back in your home because of these rockets. Well, it's unacceptable. So now they've pretty much, they feel controlled, that they're controlling the Hamas in Gaza. So now all the troops are moving up north for a full-fledged attack on Hezbollah. And here's the key. They know they have a window of opportunity and there needs to be a necessary ending to this with Hezbollah. And the window of opportunity is between now and the US election. Because the problem is... If the other regime gets in, they're not going to help Israel deal with Iran and Hezbollah. They know if Trump gets in, then they'll have full support. But they're not too sure that he'll win because they keep seeing the polls and they keep seeing all this assassination attempt to Trump. So they're not very confident that Trump will get in. So their mindset in Israel is, we need to attack now. before the election, because then the United States will tell us no if Kamala gets in there. And that's how Israel's thinking, okay? And so expect to see more problems and possibly a ground assault in the near future. This was the bombs near a school in Nazareth, man. I mean, it's just insane that they live like this. This has to stop, right? It's a necessary ending. How would you like to send your kids to school and right there in school is the bombs from Hezbollah. So here's the villages, it's a village of Moreshet in Northern Israel that had been hit by these bombs from Hezbollah. And this is what the bombs do, they destroy the homes. That's why people can't live in their homes. Here's the bombs in the air, this is over Haifa. You can see Iron Dome taking them out. So that's Iron Dome at work. Here's another picture of Iron Dome at work with all the missiles coming in. Here's Israel attacking some of the locations in the north. And here they got one terror commander. This is a Hezbollah terror commander, this Ibrahim Akhil. There was a $7 million reward. The IDF targeted him in Lebanon. And here's the end of his life. That's how Israel takes you out. So he's gone. The point is, as you can see, there are times where there needs to be necessary endings. And with Hezbollah, there needs to be a necessary ending, just like the necessary ending with Hamas. So, the takeaway on the necessary endings is this, that even in our own personal lives, there's stuff that needs to stop. There needs to be some necessary endings in the way we're rolling if we're not rolling correctly. And with Judah, he hasn't been rolling correctly. He has been allowing his wife to control the family, produce a bunch of pagan kids, and he's just taken a back seat to all of it. My thing, like I said last week, what needs to end for all of us is who's in charge of my family. Okay? That's where it starts. If you're gonna resist the regime out here, resist the globalists, resist what's happening, it first starts in your family. That was my application last week. There needs to be a necessary ending of my wife is in control of the home, spiritually. That needs to end, like today. You need to go home and say, we're doing things differently. Because if your home is not correct, then you're not gonna be able to fight a regime in front of you. You just won't. If the house at home is not in order, then how can God trust you to deal with other things? You can't because you're too messed up at home. That's why we have a problem in Christianity in fighting the culture war is because people's homes are not in order. The wife is in full control, she's running the show, and the guy sits there on his hands Like Casper Milquetoast. Just saying it needs to change. That's a necessary ending. Now what you're seeing here is Talonic justice. The Hebrew pattern of Talonic justice that's going on in the text. So notice what has happened. Both Jacob and Judah have lost their sons and wives and both were mourning. So Judah is playing tricks on Jacob, saying that his son Joseph is dead and And so now he's getting a taste of his own medicine. Now his two sons have died, not just one, but two sons have died, and now they're both mourning. So Judah's getting back to him what he's dishing out to his father. That is important because it's a corrective measure for Judah to get his head screwed on straight. Here's what's happened. We all have to understand this. God has infused Talonic justice into the fabric of society and our way of life. And you can't get around it. And Talonic justice is the law of retribution or the law of the harvest. And so it's the concept that whatever you dish out, you're actually gonna get back. And sometimes you'll get back double. Sometimes you'll get back triple what you dished out. That is a corrective measure that God must take to correct people. Because sometimes it's not enough for them to be told don't do something, they have to experience what they have dished out to learn from it. And I hate to tell you, the stat's not very good on this. The stat is about 60% of people have to learn through experience rather than just being told, hey, don't touch the hot stove. So 60% of people will touch the hot stove. They have to experience, and so what happens is when they decide, I'm not gonna listen to the word of God, and the warning's there, then God says, fine, then go experience it. And when they experience it, they experience talonic justice. And it's a thing that you do not want happening to you, because it's very, very painful. And then he went up to the sheep shearers at Tingna, he and his friend, Hira, the Adullamite. Now this is interesting. So his wife dies, a necessary ending. So then he hooks up with his friend Hira. Hira isn't a Canaanite, by the way, and he was, he started out as just an acquaintance, and now notice what the text says. He's a friend now. So something's changed in the relationship. He's got closer to the Canaanite friend. Okay. So what is this idea of going up to the sheep herders? Well, it was a time of celebration. It was a time of festival, and they would take all the sheep there and shear them, and so it was a party, basically, is what it was. So what his Canaanite friends suggest to him, say, hey, I know times are tough, and your wife just passed away, but let's forget our troubles, and let's go to a party. Because this is what Canaanites do. And let's go party. and let's try to forget your cares of the world. Let's forget about this. And there's an application for all of this. If we're fighting a regime, say it's in our family, say it's in our community, say it's in the world, say it's in our government, if we're going to bury or ignore the disasters happening to us by turning to worldly distractions, that's not the answer. So if your solution to what can I do as far as dealing with a global government. What can I do when my house is, well, you know, my community is upside down or this and that? If my option is to go get drunk or to go get high or to go into pornography or to go into other things as a way of turning my attention away from what is in front of me, that doesn't help anyone. And unfortunately, too many people take this route. That is why they are so stressed out. That is why they have so much anxiety. That is why they have so much inability to cope with what's going on. Because instead of seeking God's answer on how to deal with this, they seek an escape and they seek the escape from reality. And I get it, but that doesn't help you. It actually compounds your problem. It actually makes the culture worse when you go and check out. When people tell me, I don't even watch the news. What? What do you mean you don't watch the news? I'm not saying you have to watch CNN or anything like that, but that means you're telling me you're not informed? And so that becomes a way of people checking out of reality. I'm just not gonna watch what's going on. Well, here's the problem. One day you're gonna wake up in a different world, and you won't know what happened to you, and you're gonna lose everything, and then you're gonna get so depressed, you'll wanna commit suicide, because that's the normal thing. When people get hit out of left field and are not prepared for it, they go into depression and suicide. So what God is trying to say is, stay in tune with what's going on because it helps you prepare mentally, emotionally, spiritually for what you're seeing. Don't check out, engage, confront, know what's going on. Information prepares you. Information is not to scare you, it's to prepare you. Because if you don't prepare, you will be sideswiped by this. So, don't check out. Please do not check out. And it came to pass about three months after that Judah was told, saying, Tamar, your daughter-in-law has played the harlot. Furthermore, she is with child with harlotly. Excuse me, let me go back, hold on. She is with child by harlotry. So Judah said to her, bring her out and let her be burned. And you're like, what happened here? Let me show you. If I can find it, where'd it go? I lost my place. Anyway, here we go. So what happens is this. She gets to the point where she's like, I gotta have an heir. And he's keeping me from having an heir. So I gotta do something. So unfortunately, she chooses to become and pretend she's a harlot. And so she knows that he's going to this festival and she then places herself in this location and she's dressed like a harlot, like a prostitute, a common prostitute. So he sees her, and of course, Judah doesn't have too many scruples, by the way. So he sees her and he says, yeah, let's go have sex. You're a prostitute. So he goes into her, not knowing this is his daughter-in-law. Okay? He's getting played. Because again, remember in that ancient world, you need an heir. You need an heir. And Judah will not give her an heir. He won't give her his son. And so she's seeking justice in this situation, but unfortunately she does the wrong thing by taking matters into her own hands and manipulating the situation. So she pretends to be the harlot. He has sex with her and impregnates her. While he's doing this, she says, look, I need payment because obviously she's a prostitute. And he goes, okay, what do you want? She goes, I want a goat. I want a goat out of the whole thing. And that's a very expensive thing in that day and time. And he goes, okay, but obviously I don't have a goat with me, so can I pledge something to you? And then I'll make sure that I get the goat to you later on. She goes, sure. Here's what you're gonna pledge. You're gonna pledge to me your signet ring and the rope around your neck that holds the signet ring. And you're gonna pledge to me your staff. And those will be what you pledge. And then obviously when you bring the goat, you can pay me and I'll give you your signet ring and your necklace and your staff back to you. And that will be how we do the deal. And he goes, okay, no problem. Here's my staff, here's my signet ring, and here's the rope around my neck. And you're thinking, well, what's the significance of all that? The significance of all of that is she is getting evidence on him. and locating his identity, because the signet ring, it would be a ring that you would wear as a male, and anytime you wanted to do an official document or anything, you would put that signet ring in clay or wax. and that would be your imprint that you basically had signed something legally, okay? So that's like a legal signature is your signet ring, okay? The rope around it that held it was probably worn around his neck, and it could have been something expensive or something like that, but anyway, she wanted that because that's a symbol of his property. So she has his identity with a signet ring, she has his property, and then the staff is a shepherd's staff. The staff indicates what profession he's in. And typically on a shepherd's staff, they would have engraved markers of who owns that staff. There would be things written on it, your name or something like that, or some type of picture that symbolized that's a shepherd's staff that belongs to this person. So she's pretty cunning. She gets his identification, she gets his property, and she gets his profession to identify him. So then what happens? She becomes pregnant. This is where it brings into 24. So they tell Judah in the camp she's pregnant and he immediately thinks, Well, she's committed adultery on my own son because she's supposed to marry my young son, which he's never going to do. But by the way, she harlotted herself out and she's become pregnant now. And he says, bring her out, let us burn her. He doesn't realize it's him. Okay? He doesn't realize. But the whole point is, he's being tricked. He's being fooled. And why is that important? Because he did the same thing to his dad. He tricked his dad, said Joseph is dead. Here's his coat and there's the goat blood on it. Sorry dad, Joseph's dead. Oh really? Have you noticed there's a goat in the story? She fooled him with a goat. I want a goat for your payment. So let's go back to the goat theme. The goat theme is this. When Jacob fools Isaac, how did he fool him? With the skin of a goat. And his mom made goat stew. Hmm. So then when the sons want to trick Jacob, they do it with the blood of a goat. And in this situation, Tamar fools Judah with the goat price for the harlotry. So you see the scene, the Talonic justice all through that. All of them use a veil as well. They use some type of material cloth to fool. What do you mean? The goat skin was like a veil for Jacob to deceive Isaac, right? Joseph's coat, a material possession, was used as a veil to say, he's dead, dad, and the goat's blood are on it. He was killed by a wild beast. So that acts like a covering, okay, a veil. And then Tamar does what? Veils her face to fool Judah. Do you see how the telonic justice is happening? You decide to do something, it actually comes back to you in the exact same way, okay? That's scary to me. That's very, very scary, but yet God has infused that into the fabric of society. That is a law that you and I can't get past. So here's what we have to understand, a principle before we move on. He wants to burn her. Now you think, what's that about? Well, there's only two cases in the Old Testament under Mosaic law where you would burn somebody. Here's the weird thing. The burning has to do with the sexual sin. And same thing within the Mosaic law. It had to do with this burning, that a burning desire sexually that can't be put out. It's like a flame, right? So the justice of that is the person is burned. That's how they would do it. So he wants to burn her. The problem was, is he should be burned too. because he's the adulterer. He committed adultery on his own son because she's supposed to be married to his son, and he doesn't realize he's the adulterer, so he too would be involved in the burning. Ah, that's right. I wonder if he'll go through with the burning of her once he realizes it's him. Anyway, here's what you have to understand. Recognize that hypocrisy is evident when someone virtue signals for justice while exempting themselves from the very justice they demand of others. Burner, hey dude, you just went and visited a prostitute. You're claiming that she was a prostitute, but you just went and visited a prostitute. You see the hypocrisy there? Holy smokes. It's like the hypocrisy with Greta Thunberg, save the planet, right? But really, what is save the planet about? It's not about saving the planet, it's about a land grab. You've ever heard of a 30-30? The UN has declared that they want 30% of all land in oceans by 2030. It's called the 30-30 grab. Oh yeah, that's right. Biden has also put it in law through executive order. There's the 30-30 plan right there. Oh, by the way, California has also put in the 30-30 by 2030. It's a land grab. Oh, so it's not about saving the planet? No, it's called stealing property! See, they virtue signal, we're gonna save the planet. You and Greta, don't you wanna save the planet and not have the polar bear become extinct, right? But really what it ends up being is hypocrisy because they wanna just steal people's property. That's all it's about. And then you ever heard of the Sustains Act? Oh, you're gonna love this one. Even if you have private property, The government can come on and say you have water on your property, you have beehives on your property, you have air that you breathe on your property, you have photosynthesis, you have pollination. Therefore, you can't do anything on your land because we control what's going on in your land, we call the natural processes or the environmental services. So you can't do anything on your private property because we control the natural services on your property, like pollination and the air that comes from the trees on your property. We control that. You didn't hear about the Sustain Act? Biden put it into effect in 2021. Oh, that's right, no one heard that, because it didn't make the news. So it's not about saving the planet, it's about seizing property. UN Nation talk about hypocrisy, says Israel's got to get out of Jerusalem, got to get out of Judea and Samaria and the West Bank. And it was 40 countries want to adopt it. That's funny. What hypocrisy, right? When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law saying, by the man to whom these belong, uh-oh, I am with child. Oh, is that not justice or what? And she said, please determine whose these are, the signet, the cord, and the staff. So they bring that before Judah, and it's his stuff. Oh, is that not justice? That's what I'm talking about. Talonic justice, that's what I'm talking about. What you do actually comes back to you. And there's no way to escape it. Because in the Bible, you have to have two or three witnesses to establish something. How many witnesses are there? A signet, a cord, and a staff. By law, it's him. You're the one, you're the man. You're the guy who got me pregnant. Now, I'm not advocating what she did. I'm not advocating that at all. She tricked him, obviously. And that's been the theme in the patriarchs, tricking people. But she did get an heir out of all of this. So again, here's the interesting thing about the Talonic justice. Just as Judah brought a torn robe of Joseph's to identify and recognize, now Judah's own possessions are brought to him to identify and recognize. You give it out, you get it back. So Judah acknowledged them and said, she has been more righteous than I because I did not give to her Shelah, my son, and he never knew her again. So he didn't have any more relationship with her, but she did produce an heir, right? And he says she's more righteous, so he admitted it. So what's happening here is that Thessalonian justice is starting to work on Judah. He's starting to catch this and say, yeah, man, I really blew it here. She is more righteous than me. And he's starting to understand things, which is a good sign because he needs to. He needs to be, because he's going to be in charge of Israel and the Messiah is going to come through his line. So the principle is, and this is a hard one, when you're resisting the man-made order in a fallen world, there are varying degrees of sin and good. Always choose the greater good in difficult situations despite the risk, okay? She risked everything, by the way, to have an heir. But you understand what she was trying to accomplish. It's not just simply an error for her, she believes in the Abrahamic covenant. She believes that Judah's next in line, and he needs to be the leader. She believes in what God has promised Abraham, that a king will come from the line. She believes that, and she is more concerned about preserving the Messianic line than Judah himself. Now, again, that's coming from a good motivation. Her means were not that great, but at least she's committed to the higher calling. She wants to preserve the line of the Messiah. And for that, she's committed. You will see Moses not do anything negative to her. He will not criticize her in the text for playing the harlot. He will not do that. Because of the higher value she went to, preserving the line of the Messiah. And I'll show you that in a bit. So what do you mean, how does this principle flush out in my own life? There are times in your life especially in an authoritarian, totalitarian regime, where you will be forced into choosing what is the higher call. For instance, in Nazi Germany, the higher call would be to save the Jews. But what did a lot of Christians have to do in order to save Jews who were in their home? when the Nazis knocked on the door and said, do you have any Jews in this home? What did the Christians have to do? They had to lie. Why? For the higher order. The higher order is to preserve the life, right? We're not gonna say, well, y'all, they're all here, come and get them and say, well, I didn't lie. Yeah, but you got them all killed. So in a fallen world, you're gonna be in situations like Tamar, where you must do the higher calling and that must be the way you have to function. I'm not advocating sin, please don't get me wrong, but you might be in situations where you are forced into saying, I either have to lie here or I have to give up a human life here. and I'm not gonna give up human life. The human life is more important than me lying. I'll lie to save the human life and then I'll repent to God and he'll understand that. But you have to know that it's a very tricky situation, but it happens in all totalitarian regimes where Christians are forced into a situation like those. Because that's what happens. There's not a lot of good options sometimes. Now here's the interesting end of the story. Now it came to pass at the time for giving birth that behold, twins were in her womb. Twins, sounds familiar. Yeah, it is familiar. There was twins in Rebecca's womb, right? Twins again. And so it was, when she was giving birth, that one put out his hand, and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, this one came out first. And then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly. And she said, how did you break through? This breach be upon you. Therefore his name was called Perez. basically who he breaks through. And afterward, his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah, means rising or shining. Well, this is interesting. This is very interesting. This is weird, but it's not weird when you understand it. So the first baby comes out, they wrap a red thread, because they knew she had twins. And they would typically do this to identify firstborn, because firstborns get firstborn rights. Okay? So he stuck his hand out, they put the red thread on, but his brother pushes him back and his younger brother comes out first. By him coming out first, the younger assumes the headship of the family. He assumes the firstborn status, even though he's second born. So the second born comes out, and his name is Peretz, and he comes out, I mean, again, that's a God thing. Obviously the babies are not fighting in the womb, but that same thing would happen with Rebecca and Isaac. Jacob and Esau were struggling in the womb. Jacob comes out, but he's catching onto the heel of him, of Esau. And yet God says, no, no, the younger will be in charge, not the older. And in this situation, the pattern repeats. It is the younger that gets the firstborn rights, Not the older. And why do you think he sent that message to Judah? Because Judah refuses to acknowledge his younger brother Joseph as being chosen to be the head of the family. So in his own kids through Tamar, it is the younger, not the older, who will be the head of the family. Judah, do you get the message now? I do not work through conventional social norms. I choose leaders based on their character. And the reason I didn't choose you is because Joseph has a better character than you. And I'm gonna illustrate it right in front of your face in your two kids being born to Tamar. Judah, you got it now? He does. He does. He gets it now. He's been corrected. Now, Scarlet Thread, that's interesting. We can't leave that alone, can we? What's the deal with the Scarlet Thread? Oh, it's a theme throughout the entire Bible. Did you not notice that? The Scarlet Thread goes all the way through the Bible to the very end. Scarlet Thread. Oh, let's talk about Perez. Here's the Scarlet Thread. So Perez is the younger, becomes the firstborn. Guess whose line he is in? Follow it. From Judah you've got Perez, and then you follow that line all the way to David. Now go down, follow that line, you've got Mary's line, and you have Joseph's line. Okay, Joseph's line is cursed after Jeconiah. But there's Jesus' line from Mary and Joseph. Perez is in the line of the Messiah. That's how important this was. So there's the scarlet thread. The scarlet thread is the descendants of Messiah. Through Tamar's heroic actions to save the descendancy of the Messiah, again, we're not saying that what she did was great, but she did become a hero in the story because she saved the line of Jesus. That's the point. She is mentioned by Matthew in being in the line. There's actually four Gentile women mentioned in her, and she is one of them. Rahab is another. There's four Gentile women that save the line of the Messiah, and that's why Matthew mentions them. Scarlet thread, they shall take a gold and blue, purple and scarlet thread and fine linen. They shall make an ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet thread. So the high priest garments have the scarlet thread in them. The tabernacle curtain, moreover, you shall make the tabernacle of 10 curtains of fine woven linen of blue, purple, and what? Scarlet thread. You shall make a veil, the veil of the temple, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread. Keeps popping up everywhere. So the men said to her, this is the spies that went into Jericho, remember that? Rahab the prostitute? Interesting theme. Tamar pretended to be a prostitute. Rahab is a prostitute. I'm noticing a theme here. And so the idea is when we attack Jericho, you put out a scarlet cord through the window and we'll leave you alone. And she put out this scarlet thread. Why do I keep seeing scarlet thread everywhere? Then the soldiers of the governors took Jesus into the praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around him, and they stripped him and put a what? Scarlet robe on him. Scarlet. Same color. Huh. Am I catching on to this? Are you watching what's happening? There's a theme. Red, scarlet, represents redemption through the blood. That's what's going on. And God is having this theme, redemption only comes through the blood. Redemption comes through the blood. And it's through this particular line that I will bring redemption to the world, and it ends up being the Messiah. So the scarlet thread is the Messiah's line all the way through scripture that God will redeem man through blood. That's what happens. Oh, by the way, now I saw heaven open and behold a white horse and he who sat on it was called faithful and true and in righteousness he judges and makes wars and he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood or scarlet. All the way to the second coming. all the way to the second coming. It's not his blood, it's the blood of his enemies. But through sacrifice, victory will be achieved through that scarlet thread. And that victory ultimately is when Christ kicks out the global government, kicks out the Antichrist, and everybody establishes his kingdom. So with all that being said, and we can say, Messiah is coming back. Messiah is going to take the church home. Messiah is going to destroy all the enemies of God. And when you look at this story, guess who's to thank for that? Tamar. She's not the only one. but she's in the line and she wanted to preserve the line of Messiah more than Judah did. Do you understand what we're talking about here? How significant her act was that produces the Messiah that died on a cross for us and is coming back to rule and reign. Thank you, Tamar. Thank you for what you did. That's why Moses will not criticize her. She did the right thing. by having an error and that error led into the Messiah. That's amazing. You couldn't dream of making that story up, right? Amazing. Okay, so then what do we do with facing with the world that we're dealing with? Well, like I said, it starts with us and fixing our homes first. The second thing is this. Understand that despite them trying to control your life, They really can't. Because here's the thing they can't control. They can't control God, and they can't control truth. That's the issue. That's the issue they're so desperately afraid of, is God and truth. Because you know what? Evil doesn't prevail over truth. It can't. Let me ask you this. Do you believe that evil can triumph over truth? I don't. I don't at all. So at the end of the day, Solzhenitsyn was right. Solzhenitsyn was right, who went to the gulag and was arrested in a Russian prison in the gulag archipelago. And he said this, and he's right. If one person will speak the truth over and over again, it will overcome the lies of the regime. If just one person will commit to speaking the truth, it will overturn the world. I think that's something you and I can do. No matter who's in charge here, truth prevails. Truth always wins. And if you will stay in that category like Tamar did, you can turn the world around, because she did. Keep that in mind. Don't get discouraged. Lies never win. Let's pray. Father, thank you, Lord, for what we can learn through Tamar's life. Thank you so much for heroic action. It is inspiring to all of us to take the risk that she did to preserve the line of the Messiah. We thank you for that heroic. Help us to be heroic. Help us to have strength, to be able to tell the truth. They're trying to censor us, Father. They're trying to do all kinds of crazy stuff to us, but we know the truth wins out. And Father, we pray if there's anyone here that doesn't know your son as Savior, that we come to faith in him today, realizing he died on a cross for their sins, was buried and rose on the third day to give everlasting life to anyone who believes. We pray now in Jesus' name, amen. Thanks for joining us for another lesson. We hope that this message is a blessing for you and helps you grow towards a more mature understanding of God's word.
