Let's pray. Father in heaven, I pray God, would you please work through the preaching of your word. God, please work through your spirit in our hearts that these things would be real, that they would be applied to our lives. Lord, please help us. We are so weak and frail. God, we need you today. And please give us a proper interpretation of your word. But there is only one interpretation. I pray Lord that you would give it to us for your glory. In Jesus name. Amen. Go to Hebrews 10. Most of you are probably already there. And in your outline there are two changes that I made as I studied this morning. If you look In number two, you have number one, the insufficiency of the sacrifices and offerings. And last week we went over those verses one through nine, that the sacrifices are insufficient in and of themselves in verses one through four. And then the second part, which is B, Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all sacrifices and offerings by his perfections and by his death. But the change is in number two, I have the blessings that are applied to the believer by the perfect offering of Jesus Christ. You see that six things? I have six blessings. I'm going to be talking about those blessings today. The six blessings that are applied to the believer through Jesus Christ. And the second change is in part three. Part three, you see you have draw near, provoke one another into good works and love, and not forsake the assembly of yourself. There's one missing, hold fast to the profession of our faith. So that's the second one. We can get more into that when we get to that part. When we get to that part, hold fast to the profession of your faith. So now as we move into the second part of our outline, which is found in verses 10 through 12. Let's read Hebrews chapter 10, 10 through 12. And actually we're going to read verse 9 with it. Verse 9 overlaps from part 1 into part 2 and kind of touches both. But look in verse 9, Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified, whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us, For after that, he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord. I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin, having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh. So in this second part you can see in your outline the six things that are applied to the believer by the perfection, by the perfect offering of Jesus Christ. Sanctification, glorification, regeneration, love for obedience, justification, and access to God the Father. You see those six things on your outline. We will go through those today. But the The six blessings apply to the believer. I want you to see how these blessings are applied, how they're made a part of the believer. That's what I want you to see first, and then we'll get into each one individually. And this is a principle being taught. You'll see this principle. Listen to me closely, because in verses 5 through 20, We see this principle that makes everything else in this chapter work. And it's mentioned three times. Look in verse 5. I know we didn't read verse 5, but look at verse 5. And look at this principle. It says, Wherefore, when he comes into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body, but a body hast thou prepared. Look in verse 10. We are sanctified through the offering of what? The offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all. In verse 20, jump down to 20, it says, this new and living way is through the veil, or through His flesh, or through His body. And we covered this point last week, but I want to make it more clear for you. We are saved, we are made whole, we are sanctified through what? Through the body of Jesus Christ. What does this mean that we are sanctified, we are made holy by the body of Jesus Christ? It means that the holiness that the believer possesses is because of the perfect body of Jesus Christ or because of his perfect obedience as a man. What a person needs first in order for all these other blessings to take place is holiness. Holiness. We're going to see that. That this first one, number one of these six things come from the second five come from number one, holiness. And we see holiness spoken of much in the book of Hebrews. Jesus Christ in verse 9 comes to take away the first covenant in order that he may establish the second, by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. The body speaking of his perfect obedience. In Romans 5, 19b, the Bible says, By the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. The holiness and righteousness that God is looking for is by the obedience of one, by the obedience of Jesus Christ. You can strive your whole life to find salvation in what you do. Or even strive your whole life to find true assurance of salvation in what you do. But if you have never come to this realization, I fear you will never have true biblical assurance. And I even fear for the reality of your profession. Oh, my friends, make no mistake about it. God is looking for one thing. He is looking for holiness. Holiness. God is holy. God is holy. In Leviticus 19-2, the Bible says, Speak unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, You shall be holy, for I, the Lord your God, am holy. Psalm 47a says God sits upon His throne of holiness. And His throne speaks of His judgments. His judgments are made according to holiness. Isaiah 6.3 says, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts, as we just sang. I like what Jonathan Edwards says about it. He says, A true love of God must begin with a delight in His holiness, and not with a delight in any other attribute, for no other attribute is truly lovely without holiness. Where do we find this holiness other than in the nature of God? That's the end of the quote. But where do we find this holiness other than in the nature of God? You cannot find it in any other place. For even as humans, when we do what is morally right, our motives are often wrong. Or even worse, distorted when we perform what we estimate as good when it is unchecked by the Scripture. When we do what is good by our own estimation of what good is and is not checked by the Scripture, do you know what we do? We're distorting our perception of who we are. We're saying, well, I'm a good person because I did this. Well you're a good person because you did this good thing according to whose estimation? According to your own. And that's a process I believe that happens in everyone naturally. We're distorting the perception of ourselves if we do what we think is good without filtering it through the scripture. without filtering it through the scripture, true holiness on a human plane is only found in one, and that one man is Jesus Christ. For true holiness is not simply doing what is estimated to be right, but true holiness in a biblical definition, listen to me, is to do what brings the most glory to God, and what most benefits others, in their spiritual lives to the loss, listen, to the loss of my own benefit, convenience, and advantage. So we may parade ourselves as being holy, but when compared to our Lord and Master, we find that our holiness is nothing more than sentimentality at best. and self-exaltation at worst. But look, look at the Lord Jesus. Look at the perfections of Christ. He came to do what? He came to do His Father's will. That's what it says in this chapter. We went over that last week. He said, I come to do Your will, O God. Even when it meant that He had to become a lonely man. Even when it meant that he had to leave the riches and glory of heaven and come to a filthy earth. Even when it meant the rejection of his own family and the rejection of his own nation. Even when it meant to do good to those who he knew would later crucify him. Even when it meant to be falsely accused and falsely condemned to death. Even when it meant sweating drops of blood even when it meant suffering the most shameful and painful death ever known to man. Jesus said what? He knew all that would happen. But what did he say in spite of that? He said, Father, your will be done to my own loss, to my own harm. Your will be done for your glory. And that's what holiness is. And my friends, we don't think like that. We don't think like that. But Christ lived it out, even though Jesus knew what the cost would be. He said, I come to do your will, O God. This is true and perfect obedience. Praise His name. It is the obedience of Jesus Christ. And we, those who have placed our faith in Him, are first sanctified. Do you see that on your outline? A is what? We are sanctified, or we have sanctification. Sanctification. This word sanctified in verse 10 is not necessarily speaking of the process of sanctification, although that is included. Listen to what one commentator says, I think he says it well. This is Albert Barnes actually, he says, we are made holy The word here, sanctified, is not confined to the specific work that is commonly called sanctification, or the process of making the soul holy after it is renewed. But it includes that, but everything by which we are made holy in the sight of God. It embraces, therefore, justification and regeneration, as well as what is commonly known as sanctification. Listen closely, this is the point I want you to hear. The idea is that whatever there is in our hearts which is holy or whatever influences are brought to bear upon us to make us holy is all to be traced to the fact that the Redeemer has become obedient unto death and was willing to offer his body as a sacrifice for sin. So everything, anything the believer has that is holy in them, comes from Christ. He is the one that is holy. He is the one that is perfectly obedient. I want to read to you two verses, if you want to turn there, in Ephesians chapter 1. These two verses right here, in verses 3 and 4. It says this, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. All spiritual blessings are found where, according to that verse? In Christ. There is no spiritual blessing that is found outside of Christ. Look at verse 4, According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy. holy and without blame before him in love. Where do the blessings begin? Where do the blessings begin? The blessings begin at holiness. God is looking for holiness. And this sanctification or holiness that is imputed to the believer because of the perfect obedience of Jesus Christ is the merit of the believer to enter heaven. This is the point, that holiness, God will only accept 100% holiness, and that holiness is imputed, yes it is also imparted, we'll get into that in a few minutes, but this holiness comes from Christ, and our faith in Him counts us as holy. His holiness. Now, I am holy in my standing before God. Why? Because Christ is holy. Because of His perfect body. Because of His perfect sacrifice. Not because of what I do, but because of Him. From this holiness that is imputed to the believer, because of Jesus Christ, flows the other five blessings. that you see on your outline, which are glorification, regeneration, practical holiness, justification, and access into God's presence. I've changed one or two of those around a little bit, but it means the same thing. The sanctification or holiness that is imputed to the believer because of the perfect obedience of Jesus Christ is the merit of the believer to enter heaven, or the glorification of the believer. Look in verse 11. of chapter 10, and every high priest standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till his enemies demate his footstool. Now look at 14, for by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified We are perfected forever, how? By the body of Jesus Christ. Or by His death. By His perfect obedience. Oh my friends, as we move into this portion of scripture, as we get further into it, we see it's more and more glorious what Christ has done for us. It says we are forever perfected because of the body of Christ, because it's His obedience. that sanctifies us, that makes us holy. And then that holiness is worked out in our lives. But even the working out of the holiness in our lives does not ultimately make us holy. It's Christ and what He has done and who He is in His perfect obedience. It's by one man's obedience that many are made righteous, as we already quoted in Romans 5.19. I think if the believers in this room only would understand a small part of these blessings, people would think we were crazy because of the amount of joy that would pour out of us. I mean, people would just think we were crazy if we really only knew a small part of this, of what Christ has provided for us, that we are perfected forever in Him. Think about it, through the merits of Christ and Christ alone we are perfected forever if we are in Him. Can we imagine living forever without sin? Not even being tempted by sin? Well God has called a people to Himself and they are to be perfectly holy without spot or blemish. And this holiness is given to the believer by faith in the perfections of our risen Lord. We could meditate on this one point for hours and days and just bask in it. In Romans 3.22 the scripture says, Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith in Jesus Christ, unto all and upon all them that believe. What does it say? The righteousness of God, or the holiness of God, is imputed or given to us upon all of them that do the best they can? No, it says all of them that believe. All of them that believe in Christ. This righteousness, this holiness, is given as a gift in Romans 5. If you read that whole chapter, you'll see that's the main point of the chapter. This has to do with our standing before God that is now projected into the future. But when we see Christ, we will be like Him, John tells us in 1 John. And then this perfect holiness that now is our expectation will be our eternal reality for those who are in Christ. This is the salvation that we are waiting for. It is called glorification. It's called glorification. That one day the saints will be glorified forever without sin, with Christ. It is to be like Christ. As perfect, as a perfect glorified man. And we yearn and wait for that day. Praise His name, we yearn and wait for that day. That's how we persevere. We'll see that later in this chapter. That's one way that we persevere, as we wait for our ultimate sanctification, which is our glorification. And from this sanctification, or holiness, that is imputed to the believer by the perfect body of Jesus Christ, that was offered on our behalf, comes our glorification. But for now, we are still on earth. And we are not left without great blessings. Now as we wait for our glorification and as we look and see our position in Christ, this is what empowers us to live a holy life on this earth in a practical way. But before we get into that, what is our next point on the outline is regeneration verse 15 look at verse 15 where of the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us for after that he had said before we have regeneration for the work of the Holy Spirit and the believer to bring them to spiritual life there is no salvation without regeneration Ephesians 1.13 talks about being sealed with the Holy Spirit. And I believe that this verse in Hebrews 10 that we just read about the Holy Spirit is a direct reference to Ephesians 1.14 that says, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession. The earnest there spoken of in Ephesians 1.14 is the down payment of sorts. Or we are given the Holy Spirit to keep us until the day we receive the full inheritance in Christ. And through the power of the Holy Spirit we are made new creatures in 2 Corinthians 5.17. So the Holy Spirit is made a witness to us. The Holy Spirit, you'll see that at the end of this chapter too, where he talks about the Spirit bearing witness with us. And as new creatures, or as those given the new nature by the work of the Holy Spirit, we are given to practical holiness. Practical holiness. Which is the next one, see on your list, number four, which is D. It says a love for obedience. You can write in there if you want. Practical holiness. Practical holiness. Imparted holiness. Nobody can say that they have the imputed righteousness of Christ unless that righteousness is being worked out in our lives. Or that holiness. Why does God impute the righteousness or the holiness of Christ to us? Matthew 5.16 that the light would shine and others would see that light and be drawn to God. Is that correct? It's for His glory that others would be drawn. But what does it say? What does it say in verse 16? Look in verse 16. I'd like to look at this. It says, This is the covenant I will make with them after those days. Saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them. As new creatures, as those who are given the new nature by the work of the Holy Spirit, we are given to practical holiness or imparted holiness. I will put my laws into their hearts and into their minds will I write them. This is the fulfillment of the prophecy of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 36, 26, and 27, where he says, "...a new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." And verse 27 says, "...and I will put My Spirit within you, and will cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them." God in the work of regeneration writes his laws in our hearts and in our minds. First in our hearts or in our passions or desires. The first difference in a person who is born again or made a new creature is that their desire goes from doing the will of self to doing the will of God. And the two are diametrically opposed. Or we could say one cancels out the other. Either I am serving my will and not God's will, or I am serving God's will and not my will. The Christian's deepest desire is to be like Christ. And Jesus Christ's greatest desire, as we read in this chapter, is to do the will of his Father. However, not only do we need God's law written in our hearts for a desire to do God's will, but we need them written on our minds. I want you to listen closely to this part, that we might even know what they are. Most people can only discern what God's law is by what is not, what they don't do. That's how many people interpret God's law. Or maybe even what they do. Do. Well, I don't. I've never killed anybody. Right? The law says I should not murder. I've never committed adultery. The Bible says I should not commit adultery. The Bible says, you know, so we can look at the law and say, well, I haven't done these things. But if we're honest with ourselves, we have. Because Jesus said, if you thought it, you did it. But many can only discern God's law by what is nice. and by what makes me and other people feel good. This is one point of great deception. Many think that they and others around them are doing the will of God because they do nice things for other people, and because they feel good about doing it, and because also they have close relationships with others. Should we be kind? Absolutely. Should we have close-knit relationships in the church? Absolutely. But guess what? So do the Mormons, and so do the Muslims. They have nice people that do nice things, that have close-knit relationships in their groups. But, my friends, the commandments of God go way beyond being nice and feeling good. These commandments go deep into the hearts. 1 John 3, 23 and 24 says, and this is the commandment that we should that we should believe on the name of the Son Jesus Christ and love one another as he gave us commandment. And he that keeps his commandment in verse 24 of that chapter dwells in him and in him and hereby we know that he abides in us by the spirit that he has given us. Each of the commands of God are given in order that we might do what is right. And not just not to do what is wrong. The first commandment in Exodus 20 is to have no other gods before us. Right? Is to have no other god but the one true living God. That's the first commandment. The second commandment is to have no graven images. These commandments can never be fulfilled by what I don't do unless I am doing what I should do. follow me on this we are to worship and serve the one true and living God and therefore we are to have no other God before us and Jesus further defined this commandment all through his teachings by showing us that he required nothing less than a 100% commitment to him even if it means your very life So through Jesus' teachings, we're learning how to fulfill the commandments. We're going through the book of Matthew right now, on Thursday nights. And Jesus' command to commit yourself to Him is great. But in order to keep the commands, we must do what God has told us. The third commandment is not to take the Lord's name in vain. So if I don't curse, am I keeping this commandment? I would say no. Because the reason God gave us the commandment is because He wants us to speak pure words. He wants us to speak the truth about Him. So when Jesus commands us to speak the gospel, and to disciple other men and women through our words we speak, He is teaching us how to obey the third commandment. He's teaching us how to obey the commands. And these things are written on the hearts of the believer. They're a different way of estimating what is right and what is wrong. And until the Spirit of God comes into your heart, and you have the new heart and the new mind, you will not understand the commands of God. You'll just think, well, I'm doing the commands of God. I go to church. I'm doing the commands of God. I never killed anybody. I do the commands of God. I never did this or that. But Jesus teaches us how to obey the commandments. And you can go through each one. You can go through each commandment and see that God is not impressed with your morality because of things that you don't do. But He wants you to do what He what He does, and that comes through the new nature that has been imparted to the believer through the Holy Spirit. So a love for God's law, written in our hearts and in our minds, this is the gift of the believer. This is not something you do. This is something that is given to you when you understand the righteousness and the holiness that is found in Christ. And that holiness has been imputed to you when you believe. These are the things that will happen in your heart. You will obey the commands of Jesus. You will obey the commands of Jesus. And you will love to obey the commands of Jesus. It'll be the most that'll be the passion of your heart and it will be the expression of your life Because how indebted am I to Christ? Look what he said. What did it look what he has done for me? Everything he has provided certainly I want to obey him and in doing that the laws are written on our hearts and on our minds which brings us to the fifth blessing in verse 17 and 18 the writer is arguing that our sins have been totally forgiven and even cannot be remembered which is an argument against the old covenant in the old sacrificial system which in principle relates to us in that why would we still try to perform to gain God's favor when our sins, through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have been totally forgiven. That's the argument the writers make against the Old Covenant. You say, why would you go back to the Old Covenant? When through Christ, our sins cannot even be remembered. And in the Old Covenant, as he says at the beginning of this chapter, the sins are remembered all the time. The sins are brought back into memory. But through Christ, and what He has provided through His perfect body, the sins cannot be remembered. That's amazing. Because I can remember my sins, but God, it says, does not. remember our sins, showing us that practical obedience does not bring us to God, but practical obedience is a result of God coming to us through Jesus Christ and through the person of the Holy Spirit. I have stopped trying to make up for my sins because they have been paid for already. And this reality liberates us to serve and love God. This reality causes us to serve and love God. It liberates us. And this last privilege that you look on your outline and in verse number 19 we see the last privilege. Read verses 19 and 20 with me. 19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. But it says we have boldness to come into the holiest. What is the holiest? The holiest, in the old covenant, the holiest was the inner sanctuary, where the Ark of the Covenant was. and where the presence of God was. The holiest speaks of the presence of God. That through Jesus Christ the believer is brought into the presence of God. The presence of God the Father. God told Moses that no man can see the face of God and live. The holy presence of God would consume us if we remained in our sins. Sin cannot exist in the presence of God. In Hebrews 12.29 it says that our God is a consuming fire. But here we are as great sinners coming into the presence of God. With boldness it says. It says come with boldness or come with confidence. Because of the perfect holiness of Jesus Christ. If you think you can come into the presence of God by any other means but by Jesus Christ, you have no idea of the character of God. The God that you are coming into the presence of, if you think you can come without Christ, is a God that you have made up in your mind. It is not the God of the Bible. It is not the one true and living God. Because if you come into His presence without Christ, You will be instantly consumed, because you are sin. God cannot stand in the presence of sin. He cannot be in the presence of sin. But all through Jesus Christ, we have access to God. We have even confidence to come to God, it says here. Boldness to come to God, because of Christ, because of His perfect sacrifice. Why does it say to come with boldness and confidence? Do you know why I think? Because if I think that my sin is greater than what Christ has done, then what a great sin is that? The only sin that I can commit that is greater than Christ is not to believe in Christ! Right? That's the only sin I could commit. It's called the sin of unbelief. The great sin of unbelief. Whatever my sin is, I can come to Christ and know that His sacrifice is 10 million times greater. And I can come to God with boldness because of what He has provided through Jesus Christ. through Jesus Christ and what He has provided in His perfect body. In His perfect body. In His holiness. In who He is. It reminds me of that verse that we read several months ago in Hebrews 1 verse 8. What does it say there? But unto the Son, he says, thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever a scepter of righteousness, is the scepter of thy kingdom, where God's kingdom is established on righteousness and holiness, and God loves holiness. And we'll learn later in Hebrews that without no man will see God. No man will see God without holiness. And the holiness that is imputed to us because of the nature of Christ, because of His perfect humanity through His body, will be imparted to us. It will be worked out in our lives. Because it's God's purpose. It's God's purpose for what? that we would be unto good works in Christ. And so I pray this morning, this afternoon by now, that you would rejoice in the holiness that we have in Christ. That you would see the great riches that are in Christ and in His body, in His perfect body. And through believing that, and through looking to Him, you know what will happen? You know what will start to happen? Your life will start to change. First, I believe your life will initially change if you're not born again. The Holy Spirit will come and born you again, but even as believers. When we think on these things, you know what will happen? Practical holiness will start to be worked out in my life. All of a sudden, God's will will be greater than what I want. What God wants will be greater than what I want. All of a sudden, I'll start looking at other people, and their needs will start to become bigger than my needs. It will change how I see things. That practical holiness will start to be worked out. But my friends, if you're still struggling, trying to do something, to gain your assurance, or trying to do something to gain your salvation, then you're just going to further condemn yourself. But if you're looking to Christ and seeing that the holiness is found in Him, and that because of Him, God has declared me perfectly holy forever and ever, if that's your perspective, I'm telling you right now, God's will will become the most important thing in your life. And the needs of others will start to become bigger than your own. And sad to say that many of us here, I just feel that myself included, that the needs of myself are often so much greater than others. That's not the will of God. It's not how Christ lived. Christ lived always putting the will of His Father and the needs of others above His own wants and desires. And that's God's will for us. And how else are we going to do that? Unless we see that Christ is our holiness. He, through His perfect body, has offered Himself for us. And when you understand that and meditate on it, it will lower you, it will humble you. And you will say, God, it is my pleasure to do your will. Just like Jesus said, it is my delight to do your will. And I pray that that would work in each of our hearts. That God's will would be first in our life. And that the needs of others would be greater. in our own. Let's pray. Your Father in heaven, I just pray, God, please work these things in our heart, God. By nature, we naturally want to do what we want to do. God, by nature, we naturally are self-consumed. We're also worried about our own needs, Lord, when there's such great needs around us. I pray, God, that it would not be so. I pray that this holiness of Christ this imputed holiness that is so amazing so incredible beyond words we cannot even put it into words the magnificence of it I pray God please make it a reality in our lives that we would live holy lives consecrated unto God's will and considering others before ourselves. Sure Heavenly Father, Lord we look to you and wonder that a holy God, beyond our comprehension, Lord, pure, beyond measure, beyond our understanding, Lord, and blameless, never sinning, ever, from eternity past to eternity forward, Lord, You're holy, holy, holy. Lord, we look to You in wonder and awe, Lord, that You have called us to be Your children. And by the blood of Christ, we have been made holy. Lord, it's astounding beyond words. And Lord, we look to You for that holiness, Lord, for we possess no righteousness of our own, O Lord. We plead the cross, Lord Jesus, and your body broken upon there and put to shame, and Lord, your crown, Lord, a crown of thorns, Lord, that you would take upon sin, even death, Lord, that you would enter through the veil, Lord, and let your flesh, O Lord, that we could enter in and be blessed forever and eternally found in you, righteous and blameless in your eyes, Lord, and beloved little children, Lord, in this world, Lord, and help us not to be, Lord, proud in our own estimation of ourselves, Lord, help us to be humble, Lord, and realize you have done astounding things, Lord, that we could be reconciled and forgiven, and you have suffered terribly, Lord, that we could be blessed forever. Lord, thank you for your grace in our lives, O Lord, and send us out into this world which is in darkness and gloom and depravity and sin, Lord, and help us to be lights and saints and ambassadors of you, Christ Jesus, and proclaim Jesus Christ crucified and risen from the grave, Lord, in your holiness, Lord, that they need so desperately, Lord, for no one will approach you, Father, who is not holy, Lord, without being burnt to ashes, Lord. So we praise you, Lord, that we have been made holy by your blood and by your body, Lord, and thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, Lord, that we could be made righteous and kingdom of righteous men and women, Lord, and blessed by you forever and ever and ever. Lord, we're only beginning to find out what an awesome, holy God you are. Help us to appreciate and understand, Lord, that we need to live holy lives, Lord, and humble submission to you and fear of you, Lord, for you are our God and you are our consuming fire, Lord, and we'd be unwise not to fear you, Lord, and we'd be incredibly unwise not to trust you, Lord, and Lord, we would be fools not to have faith in you and your finished work, O Lord. Thank you, Lord, and that you will finish the good work that you began in us, and nothing can separate us from the love of God, the same Christ Jesus. Lord, thank you, Lord. Lord, those who are not yet trusting in you, Lord, may they see the light of your love and your glory and your holiness, Lord, and realize they cannot possess us on their own. Can we give ourselves everlasting life? Can we make ourselves clean? We cannot, Lord. There is life inside the Savior, Lord. Eternal life and a wellspring of the Holy Spirit, Lord, that springs up inside of us who are redeemed. Lord, help us to be examples to those here, Lord, who are not saved. Help us to be a light, Lord, that proclaims your glory, Lord Jesus. Help us to lower ourselves, Lord, in humility, Lord, and realize that we are but refuse and decay and ruin. Lord, without your love and without your holiness, we are entirely unfit for heaven. and have no place in a journey that is for your glory and everlasting purposes. Lord, help us to go out into the world and help us to love, Lord. For if we claim to be holy yet without love, Lord, we don't know what holiness is, Lord. So help us to love, Lord, and be kind to one another, and even bless our enemies, Lord, and pray for them, Lord. Because, Lord, if they are our enemies, they're your enemies, Lord. They need your salvation more than the next breath of air that they take, Lord. And I just pray, Lord, you bless us and bless our fellowship, bless the time we spend together. Help us to be witnesses to the end of the era, even as far as Philadelphia is from Jerusalem and even as far as Cambodia is from Jerusalem. I fell on the side of my truck making a delivery and I reached for the pipe that I was trying to unload and I grabbed hold of a metal band and it cut me right. Nineteen stitches dead. But I've gotten faithful. It's really been healing really well. Even the doctor said, you know, you're feeling really well. So I got the braces there. Yeah, it doesn't hurt. It's a little tingly. yeah I was very fortunate actually by God's grace I didn't cut any tendons I didn't cut any nerves I'm left handed I was really in bad shape from my left hand yeah I'm left handed so it was really important It was full of giant cutters, reaching and reaching. I couldn't cut the band, it wouldn't cut, because the cutters were kind of long. And I put more and more weight on the lift-up pipe, which is a bundle of heavy PVC pipe, over like 600 pounds, probably. And I snapped the band, but what I did, I was putting all my weight on the PVC pipe, and it just rolled out of the side of the truck, and I rolled with it.
