the Word of God and to listen to its truth for each and every
one. Send up their lady service for
Christ as we continue on with our series the doomsday clock
of Revelation Here we look Here's Sunday night I'm glad that as
we continue on in this series Take your Bibles to the book
of Revelation the last book in the New Testament and as we look
to it I'm glad I want to talk to you about what treasures will
journey with us to heaven What treasures will journey with us
to heaven? Amen. As we get into the wonderful
word of God. Amen. Revelation chapter five,
verse one. And I saw in the right hand of
him, that sat on the throne a book written within, and on the backside
sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming
with a loud voice who is worthy to open the book and to loose
the seals thereof, and no man in heaven nor in earth neither
under the earth was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and
to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the
elders saith unto me, Weep not. Behold, the line of the tribe
of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. And verse six, And I beheld,
and lo, in the midst of the throne of the four beasts, and in the
midst of the elders stood a lamb as it had been slain, having
seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God,
sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book
out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and
twenty elders fell down before the throne, having every one
of them harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the
prayers of saints." In verse 9, and they sung a new song saying,
they are worthy to take the book and to open the seals there for
thou was slain and has redeemed us to God by thy blood out of
every kindred and tongue and people and nation. In verse 10,
He goes on and he tells us, and has made us unto our God, kings
and priests and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld and
I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the
beast and the elders and the number of them was 10,000 times,
10,000 and thousands of thousands. And verse 12 said with a loud
voice, worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power and
riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under
the earth and such as are in the sea and all that are in them,
heard I saying, blessing and honor and glory and power be
unto him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the lamb forever
and ever. Verse 14, and the four beasts
said, amen. And the four and 20 elders fell
down and worshiped him that liveth forever and ever. Amen. That's a complete reading. Let's
open up with a word of prayer. We gather, Father, to explore
the treasures that await us in heaven. We open our hearts to
understand the significance of these eternal promises and guide
us through your word. Help us to align our lives with
the hope of heaven and prepare us for the glorious future that
you have promised all as we Look at the doomsday clock, forgive
us of our many sins, Lord, put on the armor of God for us, and
we pray for the salvation of all the lost sinners, that a
revival will break out and bring them into the family of God before
it's too late. In Jesus' marvelous mighty name,
amen. You know, in a world filled with
uncertainty and chaos, the book of Revelation stands as a beacon
of hope and a guide to understanding the ultimate culmination of human
history. The doomsday clock will get into
the mysteries of the end times as revealed by Christ himself. Revelation, the final book of
the Bible that offers the dramatic portrayal of the last days on
earth, revealing the cosmic conflict between good and evil, the final
judgment, and the ultimate restoration of creation. I'm glad that as
we get into this series, we see the vivid visions, the prophetic
symbols that provides not only a timeline of end time events,
but a deep spiritual truth that remain revelant to our faith
and our daily lives. I'm glad that as we look at this,
we begin to realize that chapter 4 of Revelation we look and we
see a continuation of this because as we look and realize that there's
no break between chapter 4 and chapter 5 the same scene of God's
throne is being covered God is seen sitting upon his throne,
holding a sealed book in his right hand, and the book is sealed. It has never been opened. The
importance of that sealed book cannot be overemphasized because
the book is the key to understanding the entire rest of Revelation.
The book, or the scroll, is the official document of looking
at the very last of days of human history. and the climatic events
of the universe the world's future is about to be unfolded before
one's very eyes because a person might want to combine when we
look at this and realize that what the Lord is doing we see
the destiny book the book itself that John sees God holding the
book in the palm of his right hand the picture is this God
is extending the book outward poised to hand in to someone
if a person can be found worthy enough to open that book. The
fact that God himself is holding the book in his right hand shows
us that God is supreme in authority, both earth and throughout the
universe. That he holds the future in his hands and the destiny
of the world, hallelujah. He's ready to carry out and execute
the events ready for the end time to begin, ready for the
end time of the world to be launched, and it's a matter of finding
someone who is worthy to carry out and oversee the events for
God. The book is written on both the
front, the back of the pages, that is the roll or the scroll,
and there is no printing presses or books that we know of back
then. They wrote on small sheets of
a paper called papyrus, about 10 inches by 8 inches, close
to the size of our 11 by 8 and 1 12 inch sheets that we have
today. You know what? There was a large amount of writing
that was done. They joined and taped the sheets together, and
when the writing was completed, they rolled the sheets up and
tied some thread or ribbon around the row. This is what is meant
by the book being sealed because they seldom wrote on the back
side for whatever was written on the back side would be exposed. And so when the last sheet was
rolled up and tied, we notice that as we look at this, that
again the book or the scroll held by God was written on both
the front and the back and it shows that the events of the
end time are many and that it will take some time a great deal
of time for all of them to take place that God is going to reveal
a great deal about the end time to man and when as soon as they
can find one worthy enough to open the book the book is sealed
with seven seals that shows us three things the seven seals
show us that the book is the last will and testament of God
amen and so when we look at this we begin to realize that God
is doing amazing things praise God because as we look and realize
that through the power of the destiny of what God is doing,
amen, we see that as this begins to unfold and as we look at the
word of God, amen, what treasures will journey with us to heaven,
amen. I wonder when we look at the doomsday clock We examine
how the signs of the time point toward the fulfillment of God's
promises that explores what will journey with us from this world
to the next. Just as the doomsday clock symbolizes
the urgency of time running out, it also reminds us of the certainty
and the immediacy of God's eternal promises. And so, the joy of
anticipating heaven offers us a comforting perspective on the
trials and the tribulations of our present world. Just as a
soldier longed for reunion after enduring countless battles, anticipation
of heaven provides hope and encouragement amid life's struggles. And so,
when we look, we see the book of destiny is sealed and the
future of the world in verses 1 through 4. Amen. I'm glad that
as we see this and as we look at the book itself in verse 1,
amen, we begin to realize what treasures will journey with us
to heaven, amen, because I'm glad there are five treasures
that will accompany us as we transition from this world to
our eternal home. One of the first things that
we'll see is the joyful sound of praise, amen, because I'm
glad that in verse one it says, and I saw in the right hand of
him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back
side sealed with seven seals. And so, as we said, this is very
powerful. John sees a scroll in the right
hand of God who is seated on the throne that is written on
both sides sealed with seven seals indicating its importance
and its completeness of the message. John sees God holding the book
in the palm of his right hand. Wow! God's extending the book
outward, poised to hand it to someone if a person can be found
worthy enough to open it. The fact that God himself is
holding the book in his right hand shows us all of the things,
amen, how that he is supreme, amen. And so, as we look at this,
we're reminded that the events of the end time are many and
it will take some time, a great deal of time, for all of them
to take place. That God's going to reveal a
great deal about the end time to man. When? As soon as he can
find someone worthy enough to open the book. Amen. John sees
God holding the book in the palm of his right hand. The book is
written on both the front and the back of the pages and the
book is sealed with seven seals. And it shows us three things.
The seven seals show us that that the book is the last will
and testament of God. You see, in the Roman world,
a man's will had to be witnessed by seven persons and each attached
his own personal seal to one of the threads of the document.
The will could be opened only when the recipient came to claim
that will. This book is God's right hand.
And I'm glad that as it's in God's right hand, it means that
it is His last will for the earth. The book contains what He wills
for those who have rejected, who have cursed Him, and what
He wills for those who have accepted and worshipped Him. And so the
book is His last will and testament for the accommodation the consummation
of the world, amen. And so the book is sealed with
seven seals and it shows us, as we said, three things. The
first one was the seven seals shows us that the book is the
last will and testament of God. Secondly, the seven seals shows
us that the book is large. It has a great deal of material
in it. It has so much that The seven seals are required to bind
and hold it together, meaning that there's a lot of events
that are included in the end time. These events are to take
place. God's going to reveal much to
man and as soon as someone's found worthy enough to open the
book. And the third thing that we see of this is the seven seals
also shows the secrecy of the book. God has sealed the book
with seven seals in order to keep the events of the end time
from being known. They're not to be known by man
until God himself is ready to reveal them. And man can never
figure out those events, not by his own intellect. I don't
care what kind of supercomputers, I don't care what kind of knowledge
that's out there today, or whatever kind of knowledge that's out
there. We see the destiny of that book,
amen. And so, He said in verse 2 and I saw
a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice who's worthy to
open the book and to loose the seals thereof amen and so a powerful
angel announces a challenge to find someone worthy to open the
scroll to break its seals and indicating the significance and
the solace of it, amen. In verse 3, we talked about that
no one, whether in heaven on earth or under the earth, is
found worthy to open the scroll or to even look at it, signifying
the scroll's importance and the requirement for someone very
special to handle it, amen. And so there's four facts about
that search for the one that's worthy to open the book. Number
one, John saw a strong angel, an angel so strong that he could
shout throughout the universe and be heard by everybody, both
in heaven and in earth, that he said in verse four, and I
wept much because no man was found worthy to open and to read
the book, neither to look their own, amen. And so, we see that
he shouted out the most penetrating question of human history, who
is worthy to opened the book and to loose the seven seals
their own. And it shows how supreme and
majestic God really is. Above all the creatures in heaven
as well as those on earth, that search that is being conducted
to find someone who is worthy to approach Him, to carry out
His will. But when we look and we realize
that out of these facts, the second one, even though that
John saw that strong angel that shouted throughout the universe
and all both in heaven and earth, the second thing, that search
fails. There's just no one. There is
no one, any place that is worthy to approach God, to execute throughout
the universe this. No person in heaven was found
worthy. Imagine all of the glorious angels,
all of the seraphims, all of the cherubims, all the four living
creatures, all that surround the throne of God, the 24 elders,
all of the redeemed. No being in heaven was worthy
enough to approach God and open the book. No person on earth
was found worthy, no statesman, no educator, no scientist, no
minister, no prophet, no astrologer, no magician, no person under
the earth among the dead as great as some have been in past history.
No person from the past was found worthy to open the book. And
so we see that that strong angel that shouted that found no one,
the search that failed, and then the search fails and John breaks
down and he cries bitterly. Why? Well, because John saw something
that he had never ever seen before. John saw the greatness of God,
the supreme majesty, the glory of God, how far superior God
is in all living creatures. And there was not a single person,
any place that could be found worthy to approach God and open
the book and carry out the events of human history. All creatures
were too short of God's glory. All creatures, both of heaven
and earth, were far too short. And John saw as never before
the greatness of God, the glory, the majesty, the dominion, the
power, hallelujah, the superiorities. John in humility with all sense
of his own unworthiness, John wept bitterly at his own unworthiness
before God who was so high and lifted up. And so John saw something
that he had never seen before. But secondly, John wept for another
reason as well. He was not going to be able to
see the future of the world or the events of the end time because
the promise had been made to him that he would see these things
which must be hereafter. But now, he was not going to
see them. I wonder why. Huh? I wonder why? Was he not going to be able to
see him? Because there was no person worthy to approach God
to open the book. He and all of the other beings
of heaven and earth were far too short of God to understand
to execute the will of God for the end time. And so that reminds
us of the significance of the search for the one that opened
the book. John saw a strong angel and he had a shout that went
through the universe. through heaven and earth, but
the search failed. And the search failed and John
breaks down and he cries bitterly. But the fourth thing, the reason
no person is worthy to open this book is because of its contents. Because the book is the destiny
of the world. What is to happen in the end
time at the end of the world? Well, it's the book of redemption.
God's people are to be redeemed. The evil and the corrupt people
are to be overthrown and judged. And human history and all matter
throughout the universe, all that is corrupt, all the deteriorating,
all the decaying, all of the dying is to be overthrown and
consumed. And a new earth and a new heaven
are to be created. All the redeemed are to inherit
and inhabit the new earth and the heaven. And so, both the
faith, the redemption, and of the world because the history
written before it happens, the person who opens this book must
be a person who can grasp exactly what the book is saying, be able
to carry out God's will and execute the events. The person must have
the very mind and the power of God who can execute and rule
over all of the events of the end time. There is only one such
person. Listen to me, the Son of God
Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ, Christ, the King of Kings and
the Lord of Lords, He's the only one alone that is worthy to open
the book. the book of redemption, the book
of historical optimism, the book as it talked about in Daniel
chapter 12 and Ezekiel chapter 2, the message that is prophesied
that the seals are broken, the events of the last days are seen,
and the size, the thickness of the scroll, it takes seven seals
to bind it, all of that and the rest of revelation that is contained
therein. The book is in God's hand. History
is in God's hands. He's in charge. He has a plan.
He has a purpose for the universe. Who is worthy to carry out this
plan, this purpose? Who can rule and reign over these
events? Listen, only Christ. Christ alone is the only one
that is worthy. Amen. And so the lesson that
is so significant that the book is in God's hand. He's in charge
of human history, praise God. I'm glad that he has a plan and
a purpose for the universe. Oh man, you're worried about
atomic bombs. You're worried about an unstable
economy. You're worried about the environment. You're worried
about drugs, the criminal society. You're worried about massive
problems of all terrorism of the world that have no answer,
but God does, he is going to bring history and establish righteousness
throughout every bit of the earth, and the believer is going to
be the most optimistic person on the earth. What treasures
will journey with us to heaven? We should all bow in utter humility
and dependency upon God, for He's higher above us than any
other outer reaches of space. His glory is set above the heavens.
There's nothing before Him. We should live in the reverence,
the fear, the worship, the praising day and night while we have breath.
And we should pay close attention to the book of Revelation because
it is God's will for the end time that it will take place
throughout the universe and so in verses one through four we
see the book of destiny is sealed the future of the world but secondly
we see the book of destiny is opened and the lamb alone is
worthy to open that book amen and so the most dramatic moment
John is having a vision. His mind is on the spirit transported
above earth into heaven experiencing all of this moment that he's
about to get his very first glimpse of Jesus Christ. himself. He's
about to see the exalted Lord. God is holding the book of destiny
in his right hand. A search has been conducted throughout
the whole universe. No one was found worthy enough
to open the book. No one that was good enough. John was heartbroken. He was weeping bitterly for God
is ready to reveal the secrets of the end time to man. But no
person can be found to open the book to oversee the climatic
events of the end time. And so it looks like a hopeless
situation. All of a sudden, one of the heavenly
elders steps forth and announces that someone has been found worthy
to open the book of destiny. The person who is worthy. Boy,
I'm going to tell you, when we look and we realize, hey man,
it sounds like the cathedrals when they sang that song. Ladies
and gentlemen, may I have your attention. in this corner boy
you know the song i'm going to tell you when you make the announcement
of someone's about to step out into the boxing ring that can
knock everybody out of all time boxers and every enemy that is
in the world this is jesus christ the lord and i'm glad the announcement
that is going out that here God has intervened. He sent one worthy
to open a book, praise his mighty name. And I'm glad that he begins
to tell us that the majestic, the supreme moment of the first
sight of Christ here in heaven of his worship by the four living
creatures and the elders that he's talking about. Amen. the
worship by the angels and all the whole universe that we see
that the joyful sound of praise, a song of the redeemed, the significance
of the singing and the importance of the singing that is in the
church, amen. The exuberance of all the shouting,
hallelujah, that is taking place. And so when we look at this,
we begin to realize that it is through this marvelous exuberance
of shouting of worship, amen. We also see the fulfillment of
satisfaction, the eternal nature of salvation, amen, and the everlasting
presence of our Savior. Because what does he say in verse
5? An elder comforts John, revealing
that Jesus symbolized as the line of Judah and the root of
David. has overcome and is worthy to
open the scroll and break its seals. And so who is he? He's
the Lamb of Judah. I'm glad. That shows that he's
the strongest, the most powerful member of the tribe of Israel.
Judah was the strongest tribe of Israel, the strongest by far.
Therefore, way back in history, God prophesied through Jacob
that his own son Judah would be a lion's welp, a young cub.
If Judah himself was only a young cub, then the Messiah himself
must be like the king of beasts, the lion. himself. And so I'm
glad that we look that he's the Lion of Judah. He's the Root
of David. Hallelujah. I'm glad that the
household of David, seed of Jesse, the family tree, the blood, the
stem that is worthy to open the book, prophesied of the Son of
David, the Messiah and the King of the world. He alone. Amen.
So he's the line of the tribe of Judah. He's the root of David
He's the one that is prevailed conquered and won the victory
He's able to open the book of destiny over. What has he prevailed?
What is it that he has conquered? He's conquered seeing death the
evil world Satan and all the evil forces all the rule and
authority and power He's conquered all hell and took the keys away
from him boy He slapped and whoops Satan like he needed like a young
dog and so We see what treasures will journey with us, amen, when
we get ourselves to heaven. Because John sees a lamb representing
Jesus standing in the center of the throne, surrounded by
the living creatures and elders, and the lamb appearing as though
it had been slain. It is endowed with seven horns
and seven eyes, symbolizing complete power and omniscience, with the
seven spirits representing the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Wow. Oh my goodness, the Lamb approaches
God, takes the scroll from His hand, signifying that He's now
authorizing to unveil its contents in verse 7 of Revelation chapter
5. Here, that supreme moment. the
first sight of Jesus Christ in heaven. John had seen Christ
in his first vision, but Christ was standing in the midst of
the churches in the seven candlesticks. But now the supreme moment arrives,
the moment when John catches his first sight of the glorified
Son of God in heaven. Praise his mighty name. The sound
was bound to be the most spectacular sight ever seen in human history,
for God was letting a man see his Son at the throne of God. Boy, he was showing why his son
was worthy to rule and reign over the universe. And when John
caught his first glimpse of Christ, he immediately noticed a couple
things. Jesus Christ is the center of
the heavenly scene. I'm glad he was right before
the throne of God, joining God at the very throne of God himself. The four living creatures surround
him and the circle of the elders. Jesus Christ is the very center
and the focus of attention. Every eye and thought is upon
him. He's the centerpiece of God's
throne room. He's the center figure of the stage of the universe
of history. He's the history of both heaven
and earth. And when John caught that first glimpse of Christ,
the sinner of the heavenly scene, the sacrificial Lamb of God who
has been slain, the picture as a Lamb of God seen throughout
the Word of God that declares that He's the Lamb of God who
died for all of our sins, praise His mighty name, symbolizing
in the Passover the Lamb of God, the Lamb that was sacrificed
so that the judgment of God could pass over the people. In the
book of Isaiah, the Messiah was to bear our sins by being brought
as a lamb to the slaughter. According to John the Baptist
that declared Jesus to be the lamb of God who takes away the
sins of the world, Peter had said that the persons are redeemed
by the precious blood of Christ as a lamb without spot and without
blemish. And so, when we look and realize that the trumpets
can be blowed, Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Lived
a sinless life when he was upon earth. The ideal perfect man.
Whatever Jesus Christ did as perfect and ideal man, it could
stand for us. It could cover every one of us.
And when he died for our sins, he died as the ideal perfect
sacrifice. His sacrifice for our sins was
perfectly acceptable to God. And his sacrifice stands for
and covers us forever and all time. When we believe in Jesus
Christ, God takes our faith, counts it as a sacrifice of Christ.
God counts the sacrifice of Christ. That means that we're free from
sin. We stand sinless before God, acceptable to Him, all because
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, removed our sins from us and
we're cleansed from sin by the sacrifice of Christ. We're made
perfectly righteous by that sacrifice and he's taken away all of our
sin, clothes and white robes of righteousness before God and
I'm glad that Jesus stands in the very center stage of heaven. The one who is loved and given
himself for us as the lamb who was slain as the perfect sacrifice
for all of our sins and so We notice that He was the center
of the heavenly scene, the sacrificial Lamb of God that was slain, the
omnipotent power of the universe, that the number seven in the
Bible means completeness, fullness, and perfection. And I'm glad
that we see also that Jesus was the supreme intelligence of the
universe, that the seven eyes symbolize the complete perfect
knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom, that he's omniscient,
he knows all things, he sees all things. Nothing escapes his
sight and his knowledge and the symbol of the seven spirits of
God, of the Holy Spirit, praise God, and We see that He is sovereign,
that He walks alone over all the books of destiny, out of
the hand of God. He alone is worthy to execute,
to carry out the events of the end time. The graphic way of
saying that the very first verse of Revelation, amen, that every
one of us when we go back and take our Bibles over to that
very, very first verse in Revelation 1. And the revelation of Jesus
Christ, which God gave unto him to shew unto his servants things
which must shortly come to pass. And he sent and signified it
by his angel unto his servant John. And so We saw the worship
of Christ that is taking place, amen. In verses eight through
10, upon taking that scroll, the lamb is honored by the four
living creatures and the 24 elders who fall down before him. They
hold harps and golden bowls filled with incense, which represents
the prayers of all the saints, amen. And I'm glad that we look
in verse nine and we see that they sing a new song celebrating
the Lamb's worthiness to open the scroll because he was slain
and redeemed the people from every group to God through his
sacrifice. And in verse 10, the song continues
acknowledging that through the Lamb's sacrifice, he's made believers
a kingdom of priests who will reign on earth, the majestic
worship of the four living creatures and the elders, amen, that Christ
takes, listen, The book out of the hand of God, all of heaven
and earth break loose in a song of praise. Man, hallelujah. The
praise of the four living creatures of the elders who surround the
throne of God. The wave of praise from the countless
hosts and numberless host of angels, 10,000 times 10,000 and
thousands of thousands of them. The idea is the number is so
large that man and his computers could not even count the number.
The majestic worship in both heaven and earth, under the earth,
in the graves, and in all of the seas of all creation, every
being ever created breaks loose in a chorus of praise to the
Lord and the Lamb of God who sits upon the throne, Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior, amen. And so, of all of this, of the
worship, they fall down before Christ, the Lamb of God, and
play harps and instruments, amen. They offer up golden bowls of
incense to the Lord with symbolic of prayers and believers of the
saints. The very beings, the closest to God, that offered
the prayers to Christ, the heavenly host of the welfare, that here,
that helped through the trials, the temptations of life, even
before we were delivered through them. What a precious truth.
They fall down before the Lamb of God. They play harps. They
offer up the golden bowls of incense to the Lord, which the
symbol of prayers and the believers of the saint. And they sing a
new song focused upon the worthiness of Christ. Remember, God had
just held out the book of destiny and the shattering call had just
pierced the air for someone worthy to step forth and to take the
book. Someone was needed to open the
book, to carry out the events upon earth, but no one was found
worthy, not even those who surround the very throne of God, the four
living creatures, the elders, that were worthy, only one person
could step forward, the Lamb of God Himself, the Lord Jesus
Christ. Oh man, a song that was being
sung in worship and adoration and praise, a song that has never
been sung before, amen. And I'm glad they praise the
Lord because He was slain for man and has redeemed us. And
I'm glad that they praise Him because of the universal salvation.
that no person beyond his reach saves people from every tribe
and language and race and nation. There is no prejudice or discrimination
with Christ, no favorites, no partiality. He loves every person,
male and female, poor and rich, black and white, yellow and red,
ignorant and wise. Christ saves all who come from
every corner of the earth that surround Christ, the throne of
God. Shout for praise, the universal salvation, amen. They praise
Christ because he's given believers the great gift of royalty. He
makes them kings, priests, and they rule on earth, serving as
Jesus Christ forever and ever as the kings and priests. And
so, in verse 11, John sees and hears countless angels surrounding
the throne, the living creatures, the elders, emphasizing the vast
number of the angelic beings that are in worship, amen. And
in verse 12, the angels declare loudly that the Lamb is worthy
of receiving all power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory,
and blessing due to his sacrificial death. the majestic worship that
Christ is in the center of that praise chorus. He's the number
that is the innumerable number of what scripture is declaring
as the angels begin to make it known. Their song includes seven
points. They praise Christ for His power. He's omnipotent. He possesses
all power. They praise Christ for His riches.
He possesses the wealth to meet any need throughout the universe.
Amen. They praise Him for His wisdom. He's omniscient, seeing
and knowing all. He knows all about God in heaven
and all about us in our world with all of His temptations and
trials and everything that's been laid out. They praise Him
for His strength. No one nor anything can stand against Him,
not even for a moment, unless He allows it. His infinite strength,
the very strength of Himself as He has to speak the word.
and His Word is done. And so, I'm glad. They praise
Him for honor. He's the Son of God, possessed
of the very nature of God, the Eternal, the Sovereign Majesty,
the Creator, the Sustainer of the universe. They praise Him
for His glory, because of His spring glory and majesty of the
universe. I'm glad that we look and we see That out of all of
this a man His own glory is the light of heaven and they praise
him for his blessing. I'm glad that because of that
Amen when we look and we see that he deserves all the blessing
that heaven and earth can give for he's blessed all he's given
life and all the good things of life to all creatures that
come from From him a man and so when we get ready as we see
in verse 14 John Looks and he sees a lot of things that are
happening, but I'm glad in verse 13. We look at that worship and
In verse 13, that he tells us, and he says, and every creature
which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and such
as are in the sea and all that are in them, heard I say, blessed
in honor and glory and power, be unto him that sitteth upon
the throne and unto the Lamb forever and ever. What is he
telling us? He's saying, John hears every
creature in all realms of heaven, earth, under the earth, the sea,
praising God the Lamb, bestowing blessings, honor, glory, and
power upon them forever. But in verse 14, the four living
creatures affirm the praise with an amen, and the 24 elders fall
down in worship, acknowledge the eternal reign of God and
the Lamb, the majestic worship that is by the entire whole universe. Created beings sung the glorious
chorus praise of all creation Every being and creature who
has ever lived in both heaven and earth will break forth in
one chorus of both Praise to both God and Christ. What are
they going to praise God and Christ for the blessings the
honor the glory and the power and all of the 24 elders of all the four living creatures
all the elders that fall down and worship. I'm telling you,
never have there ever been a chorus like this that has ever been
seen in the glorious days of redemption, amen. Because he's
worthy to rule all. What treasures will journey with
us in heaven, praise God. And so, When we look at the doomsday
clock, we're reminded of the urgency to align our lives with
the promises of God as time progresses toward eternity. Some earthly
aspects of our worship, like singing and shouting, will be
present in heaven. And while others, such as the
burdens of sin and sorrow, will not make the journey, if you
have not yet embraced Jesus as your Savior, Now is the time
to secure your place tonight in this eternal promise. As we
await the fulfillment of these promises, let us live in the
light of heaven's hope as we see the five treasures that will
accompany us when we transition from this world to our eternal
home. The joyful sound of praise, number
one. The exuberance of shouting, number
two. the fulfillment of satisfaction,
number three. Number four, the eternal nature
of salvation. And number five, the everlasting
presence of our savior in heaven, the anticipation of seeing him
and the ultimate glory of worship that will be with us. I'm telling
you, what does the promise of singing and praising in heaven
impact in our current worship practices? I hope and pray that
every one of us can deepen our commitment to worship and encourage
one another as we come together in the house of God. And I hope
and pray that as we do this, that we are able to look at ourselves
and realize that these are the things that we will treasure
when we journey ourselves into the presence of heaven. These
are the things that we'll always look forward to. I hope and pray
that you got something out of the message, amen, because all
of us have treasures that we will be able to enjoy that will
journey with us when we get into heaven. Father, thank you for
the wonderful message of the anticipation of heaven and the
promises that will occupy us in eternity with this worshiping
of our Lord. Help us to live with the urgency
and the hope that is reflected in the doomsday clock to see
these truths shape our daily lives. May we prepare us to enter
into your presence with joy and I hope and pray Lord that those
that are out there. Those that have sinned, the Bible
says, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
through Jesus Christ our Lord. But God commends his love toward
us, and that while we yet sinners, Christ died for us. That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved. Father, you said, for whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. Father, I pray, Lord, that the
gift of eternal life would be received. For if someone that
would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe
in their heart that God raised him from the dead, Lord, I pray
that there's some Christian out there that needs to get back
and repent and lay aside every weight and sin that easily besets
them. Lord, I know that your arms are
always open to welcome us back. And now, Father, I pray for those
that are seeking salvation, and I pray that they would draw them
to yourself. May they confess their sins, believe in Jesus
Christ, and experience the joy of a new life in you. All of
this that I ask in Jesus' marvelous, mighty name. Amen. you
