God’s Wrath Is Revealed against Sinners

On one hand, the gospel reveals the righteousness of God from faith to faith. But on the other, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. Here, Paul shows to the Roman saints the downward spirit of unregenerate man as he rejects God's revelation of Himself through the things that He has created. For this rejection God gives three precursory indicators (judgments) to the time of the outpouring of His wrath. For the saints of God, these precursory judgments serve as a type of spiritual thermometer that says, we live on the edge of the time when God's wrath is about to be unleashed upon not only our nation, but upon the whole world.
