Perhaps there's no more frequently used imagery in the Bible to describe a Christian's life than that of a walk. From the moment they're born again by the Spirit of God, the Christians set foot on a journey where they walk with God as they head toward that final destination of heaven. and perfect likeness to Jesus Christ. What a glorious prospect every one of God's people have.
But between here and heaven, every Christian encounters what the Bible refers to as stumbling blocks, things that trip them up and slow their progress to such a degree at times that they feel like they make no progress at all. I'm referring to things like lack of assurance, the stumbling block of unbelief, or the temptations of the world. What's the believer to do to avoid these stumbling blocks and get them removed?
My name is John Wagner. I've been a minister of the Free Presbyterian Church of North America for over 35 years. I'd like to invite you to a Bible conference that's being held at Williams Lake Free Presbyterian Church, where, with the Lord's help, I will open up God's Word and show what it has to say about dealing with a number of these stumbling blocks.
This three-day conference runs from Friday, August the 30th, through to Sunday, September the 1st, for a total of five meetings. The service times, location, and contact information will be given to you at the end of this video. So please make plans to join us around God's word as we let the Bible speak to these things that so affect our hearts and our homes. And don't forget to bring a friend. I look forward to meeting you.
