Have each one of them write one chapter of a book, but don't tell them what the others are writing. Well, how do you think that would turn out? I think you'd get a jumbled mess. And yet, that kind of separation is similar to how the Bible came to be. God used 40 authors over about 2,000 years to say what he wanted to say. He used shepherds, kings, fishermen, and people from all walks of life. They wrote on three continents in three different languages. But with all that, the Bible still has a single message.
