This is the old Trailblazer broadcast.
This is Pastor Albert Pitt-Darvis, the old Trailblazer, riding out
on old Dan. Come on, Dan, let's get a-getting.
Old Trailblazer, Pastor L.R. Shelton, the founder of this
ministry, used to ride the old faithful horse, old Dan, out.
He'd say, come on, Dan, let's get a-getting. Got to get down
there where they're gathering together at the sawmill. Going
to have a time of praise and prayer there at the sawmill this
morning before they go to work. Or at the old country church.
And then he would have a Go through the woods there, and he'd dash.
Had his old faithful pistol with him. He'd shoot an old snake
every now and then. And I had folks who rode with me to work.
We listened to that broadcast, and they'd make fun of the old
trailblazer. But, my friend, this is the old trailblazer.
I'm just bringing you God's message day after day. I'm not attempting
to make a name for myself. I'm just a poor old ignoramus
the Lord picked up. picked up off the dunghill. Did
you know that scripture says he'll raise the beggar off the
dunghill? Have you ever been a beggar?
Oh, my friend, I have. I'm a beggar now. I beg for mercy
day by day. Lord, don't Don't give me justice,
give me mercy. Now, we're looking like in this
study, those things we started in our last study, thinking about
the wrath of God, we want to see those things in the 15th
chapter of Revelation. So let's notice this fact. In
the fifteenth chapter of Revelation, rebellion must and will be crushed
from off the earth before Christ comes to set up His kingdom.
These seven bowls of God's wrath mete out God's anger on men,
and this poured out before Christ comes to the earth to set up
His kingdom. These are hardening judgments,
just like those God visited upon Pharaoh. Those judgments never
softened Pharaoh's heart. No, they hardened him. But God
must and will crush all rebellion. Then third, these seven voles
of the wrath of God upon the earth are literal, just as the
ten plagues of Egypt were literal. So the seven last plagues of
Revelation will be literal. It's God's wrath upon rebellious
man and what man calls civilization and human progress. We need to
understand this one fact. eternal fact that God hates what
man calls civilization, or man's system of human progress. There
is man's philosophy, the basis on which a man's self-wisdom,
and God says in His Word, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. And he asked
where he is, and he asked, listen now, Let me go back and read
that again. For after that, in the wisdom
of God, the world by wisdom knew not God. Then there is what man
calls science, which discovers nature and the laws of nature,
but which denies God as Creator. And God said, This thing I hate.
Then there is what man calls art, which demands the beautiful
in form, but on the other hand man abhors holiness and purity
of heart. Also there are man's inventions
designed to make the earth a better place in which to live, and that
without God. Man wants all the comforts of
life, but leave God out. I'll rule it myself," he says,
in essence. Then there's man's religion,
which denies God's righteousness and hates God's Christ and blood
redemption. Man wants his own religion, but
will not have the Lord Jesus Christ to rule over him. Man
says, come now, let us kill the Christ, and we will take over
the vineyard ourselves, Matthew 21.38. God hates such religion
regardless of the stamp it bears. Then there is man's government,
which has the right to rule. Man wants a world at peace, but
he does not want a prince of peace. Man wants a world of brotherhood,
of love, but rejects God's love. All of this God hates, and says,
I will destroy it. Then there are those pleasures
which men delight in, which are enmity against God. Man wants
to enjoy life, all the comforts of life, but apart from God.
But let me tell you something, friend. The Lord will shortly
strike with a lightning blow, and He will crush and destroy,
wipe out and remove this hateful, abhorrent, abominable thing that
man calls living independent of God. God's will shall be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Oh, I listen to some of these
folks. And they say, well, I'm not a Christian, but I believe
there is a God. I believe there is a higher power. I believe this, and I believe
that. And they're just making a fool out of themselves, my
friend. And then we have this little group today who calls
themselves atheists. They say there is no God. You
know what the scripture says? The fool has said in his heart,
no God. That classifies you as a fool,
my atheist friend, if you happen to be listening. For God's will
to be done on earth as it is in heaven, it involves crushing
out and destroying and completely stamping out this earth's satanic
system which we have today. This He will do when He pours
out upon this earth, as recorded in the 16th chapter of Revelation,
the seven bowls of the wrath of Almighty God. Let's notice
one other thing, that God is righteous and just in His judgment,
and all Heaven says, Amen, to the judgments of God. The average
preacher today, as well as a Bible teacher, Bible scholar, has taken
the sword of justice and the sword of wrath out of the hands
of a sovereign, eternal, omnipotent God in their preaching and in
their teaching. Oh, but listen! What a day that
will be when those individuals stand before the great white
throne, and they'll stand there with their congregation, and
they'll say, Pastor, Mr. Minister, Teacher, why didn't
you tell us the truth? Why didn't you tell us the truth?
Oh, listen, my friend, I tell you, I can't hardly stand it.
I can't hardly grasp it. I can't hardly stand to meditate
upon individuals being cast out saying, haven't we did this?
Haven't we done that? Weren't we the first church of
so and so? Weren't we this? Weren't we that?
And the Lord will say, depart from me. I never knew you. Now,
my friend, that's a literal, literal statement if there ever
was one made. There's coming a reckoning day
when men and women will stand before the great throne of God,
and the books will be opened, and another book will be opened,
which is the book of life. And I've told this a few times,
that I believe the Lord sitting on the throne will say to the
recording angel, Mr. Angel, look in there and see
if old Joe's name is in there. And he'll go there and look,
maybe on a computer. I don't know how those things
will be. And he'll come back and he'll say, no, Lord. No,
my Lord, his name's not there. I believe he'll say, go back
and look again. I want to make sure. He comes back, he says,
no, no sir. He says, depart from me, I never
knew you. Will that be you, my friend?
Will that be you, my young daughter, my granddaughter, my grandson?
Will that be you, my friends? Will that be you, members of
the First Baptist Church of Algiers? First Baptist Church of Hillcrest,
Grace Chapel in Hattiesburg, Hope Chapel in Picayune. Will
that be you, you folks there in San Benito? Will that be you? Depart from me, I never knew
you. Will that be you folks up there in Orlean? Oh, my friend,
will that be you? Depart from me, I never knew
you. Scripture says there'll be weeping, and wailing, and
gnashing of teeth. Oh, my friend, that's a living
reality. Hell is a living reality, whether you believe it. I know
folks don't want to hear about it. I know folks reject it. I
know all of those things. But the Bible commands his pastor,
his messenger, his ambassador, to be instant in season and out
of season. What do you think the Lord left
us the Holy Bible here for if we were not to preach it, if
we were not to take it and hammer it home to the hearts and souls
of men and women in this day of grace, in this day of mercy,
so that they might come to the Lord? You say, well, you're just
trying to frighten folks. I wish I could. I wish I could
frighten you. Oh, my friend, I read a story
where a man went over one of the great tall bridges of our
country, went in the water, and said they rescued him out of
the water alive, and when they got him out, he was a young man,
his hair was white as snow. In those few seconds from falling
off of that bridge into that murky water, everything that
he ever had done came before his eyes like a panorama, and
his hair turned white as snow. Now, my friend, that's a true
story. That's not just made up. I've heard others tell similar
experiences, but I know one thing. Judgment never opens a heart. Judgment never softens a heart.
You know what softens a heart? Mercy. Mercy. Mercy Lord and
you know what you can ask for mercy. You can cry for mercy
Lord don't grant me judgment grant me mercy Lord. Oh But listen
my friend listen now Let's notice another thing that God is righteous
and just in all his judgment all Heaven says amen to the judgments
of God. You know what that word. Amen
means it says so be it it means so be it and So be it." He puts
this stamp of approval on that word. The average preacher today
has taken the sword of justice and the sword of wrath out of
the hands of a sovereign, eternal, omnipotent God. I have no trouble
believing God's word, and I know that the judgments of God are
righteous altogether, because our God judges in righteousness,
and my sympathy is with the Lord. Now I have folks who don't particularly
care for their old trailblazer. They criticize me through the
mail, through the word of mouth. But my sympathy is with the Lord,
my friend. And I make this statement often. Don't touch God's anointed. If
you can't have fellowship with me, I don't believe you're saved.
I don't believe you're saved. Surely we won't agree on everything.
But if you can run off somewhere and criticize and ridicule the
old trailblazer and spread lies about him, you're not saved.
You're no more saved than a hog has a sidesaddle, my friend.
You just need to wake up and ask the Lord to awaken you. Wake
up. What good do you do to criticize
me, my friend? I don't criticize you. I don't
criticize you. No, I pray for you. I pray for
those who criticize me. Now let's turn to the 16th chapter.
We've got just a minute. And begin the reading. And I
heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels,
go your ways. Pour out the vows upon the wrath
of God. upon the earth. Now that's the
16th chapter and we're going to stop there for this time.
Take it up there in our next study and I'll show you what
is poured out. Those vials, there's seven of
them, bowls, they're just nothing but a bowl, a vial is nothing
but a bowl, a container that holds the wrath of God. Now my
friend, could I plead with you at this time, whether it be night,
morning, noon, or night, Would you think about your soul? Your
soul is eternal. It's going to live on either
in heaven with the Lord or in judgment, in hell. where they'll
be weepin' and wailin' and gnashin' their teeth. You say, Treblaise,
you're out of step with the whole world. I know that. I know that.
I know that I'm out of step with the religious world. They'll
tell you to just come on. Trust Jesus. That's not salvation,
my friend. That won't even, that don't even
smell like salvation. Salvation is a deliverance from
sin. The very word salvation means
deliverance. Have you ever been delivered
from your old sinful life? Have you? Have you ever, do you
have a new heart? The Lord says in Ezekiel 36,
26, I will give you a new heart. Have you got a new heart? When
you come in the front door, does the cats and the dogs run out
the back door and the kids scramble for cover and the wife runs out
to the shed somewhere because you're an irate husband? Do you
do that? You're not saved. Do you rail on your wife and
children? You're not saved. No, no, that's not the spirit
of God, my friend. That's not a new spirit. Oh,
I know we're not perfect. I know we have to cry unto the
Lord for grace day by day to live by, but I'm talking about
as a rule, as a whole. Are you like an old, old, old,
sore-tailed cat? Everything somebody says, you've
got to answer for it. You're critical of everything.
If you are, you're not saved. Don't, don't go off and make
a mistake saying you're saved. No, you're not saved. You need
to turn, turn to the Lord, and ask the Lord to forgive you,
and ask the Lord to break that spirit within you. And He will,
I guarantee you, He'll do it. I'll give you that, my word of
testimony, He'll do it, because He broke it in my heart. Remember,
this is the Old Trailblazer, Pastor Penn Darvis, saying it's
good to have been with you. Remember my mailing address.
