If you have your Bible, go with me to John. Brother Cesar, he was looking my glasses. And he said that my glasses, oh, John 316. I said, yes, sir, John 316. And this is what I want to preach to you about it tonight, John 316. We can go there in John 316, we can see the mercies of God, we can see the love of God, and the sacrificial of God. We can see here in verse, let's start, if you think that I'm speaking in tongue, it's not tongue, it's my Spanish want to pop out. I have difficulty with that, but let's see. The Bible said in John chapter three, verse 15 and 16 say, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Verse 16 says, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I want to preach to you a message entitled, Why Mission? Why mission? Why do we support missionary? Why do we have mission conference in our church? why we want to send people out to the mission field. Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you, Lord, for your love, for your mercy. Thank you for the opportunity that you have given to us, Lord. We just pray that you may work, Lord, in our life. You know, Lord, that English is not my first language. I pray, Lord, that you may be with me, that I may communicate your message, Lord, to your people, and that your people, Lord, may be edified. Father, thank you for everything, and thank you, Lord, for the thing that you will be doing, Lord, in our life. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Why mission? We have to realize something, that mission is the heartbeat of God. This is all about God. He saw our need. He saw our problem within. He knew that without Him, we would go to spend eternity forever and ever in hell. We can see here in John 3, 16, it starts, For God so loved the world. Many times we say, I love you, I love my wife, I love my son, I love my sister, my family. But we can see even, we can realize that this in brother and sister or brother and brother. Sometimes we say to our brother, I love you. And when our brother do something wrong to us, we don't love him anymore. We can see in this period of time, we see many, many families killing each other because problem, because stress, because circumstances come to their life. At the beginning they say, I love you, but something happened that brought that and I want to kill you. They don't love anymore one to another. But we can see God love is sacrificial love. We can see that God say, I love you, and he gave, he demonstrate his love with his son, Jesus Christ. He say, I love you, for God so loved the world that he gave. He's not only say, I love you. Most of us, we... are convinced or we just say, and I love you, I love you. You know when we, our wife, if we say I love you, we have to show our love with something. A hug, a kiss, a gift, something. You say that you love me, but you don't do anything for me. And we can see the Lord say, I love you, but I will do something for you. Because I know where you are going to spend eternity. I know what you need to be able to get out of that way that you are walking to. And he say, he gave his only begotten son the sacrificial love of God. Why mission? Because it's the heartbeat of God. Why mission? Because of the need of this world. This world is in darkness. This world is walking straight to her. The Bible says that we were like this world. We were in darkness. We were going straight to her. And by the grace of God, somebody decided to spend time to share his world with us, and we were able to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. That's the reason that we are here, because somebody decided to leave his comfort and preach God's Word. That's the reason that people are getting saved, because every time that I think about mission, I think about Abraham. Every time that I think about mission, I think about Jesus Christ. Every time that I think about mission, I think about Apostle Paul. You can imagine that Apostle Paul may say no, The Apostle Paul maybe can be disobedient to the Lord and don't do what the Lord have called him to do. We have been in part because the Apostle Paul, how he was obedient to the Lord, how he decided to go, leave everything away and go preach the gospel. We have been in part for the life of the Lord Jesus Christ. We can see here that Jesus Christ, he, ah, in Spanish say, se despojo. How do you say that word? In Ephesians chapter two, he got apart from himself. He left his kingdom, he left heaven to be able to come here, to be able to suffer, to be able to become flesh, that you and I may receive him as our personal savior. To share his blood in the cross of Calvary. Why mission? Because it's a heartbeat of God. John 3, 16, we can see the love of God. We can see the sacrifice of God. How we can see that? He gave. The only thing that he has, his only begotten son. Sometimes when we just have a penny or we have just, brother, I don't know, our favorite food, my wife like ice cream. She's eating ice cream when she has the spoon of ice cream, she doesn't want to give that spoon to nobody. She want to enjoy it. When we just have something or only one thing that we know that we need that, we don't want to give up from that. But the Lord said he gave his only begotten son, sacrificial love. And we can see here the mercy of God. The Bible said, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The mercies of God. God's love is demonstrated in sacrifice and mercy. He has been merciful to us. He didn't have to die for us. He didn't have to share his blood for us. He didn't have to suffer for us. Every time that I read the gospel and I see the Lord Jesus Christ being, people slapping the Lord Jesus Christ, crucified in him, doing so many things that are for me right now is difficult to pronounce in English. And we can find them in the gospel. We can read the gospel and we can see everything that the Lord Jesus Christ has suffered for us. And all of these, he did it because he loves us. Because he have mercy toward us. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish. That whosoever, we can put our name. that Giancarlo, believe it in him, should not perish. That this world, if the world, those people that are outside, if we are decided to go out, if we are decided to be able to share God's word with them, if they are decide, if they want to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, they will receive eternal life. Like verse 15 said, that whosoever believe it in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is what mission is about. This is why churches support missionary. This is why missionary receive the call of the Lord and leave everything behind. Abraham left everything and he served the Lord. He went to a country that he didn't know about it. He went to a culture that he never experienced. And this is what missionary does. We can see and read many different letters. This is love, brother. That missionary over there in Mexico, he doing that because he love God. He's doing that because he understand that God save him and he understand that God want to save other people. Can you imagine taking his wife, his children to a place, dangerous place? Only we can do that because we understand the love of God. Because we understand how important is our soul for the Lord. The Lord want us to be able to share the gospel. They want us to be able to keep going for Him. The Lord want us to be able to show His mercy. He have given us mercy, that we may show mercy. We can go out, we can preach the gospel. Why this, why mission? Because it's the habit of God. Because of the need of this world. If you go with me in Ephesians chapter two, Ephesians chapter two, We can see many times we go to a point as a Christian that we believe that we are in heaven already. We think that we are more holy than everybody else. Sometimes we forgot from where the Lord brought us. Sometimes we forgot that we were dead. The Bible said over there in Ephesians chapter two, verse, if we can read in verse five and six, four and six say, but God who is rich in mercy for his great love wherewith he love us even when we were dead in sin hath quickened us together with Christ by grace ye are saved. We were dead. We were dead. If we see somebody in drug outside, we see somebody doing bad thing, don't think about that person, think about you. We have to think about us. We were not like that person, but we were dead like that person is. But the Lord have mercy to us, and the Lord want us to show mercy to that person. The Lord want us to be able to preach, testify to that person. I don't know how many, we can say how many angels the Lord has sent us during this couple days that we are here in West Virginia. First of all, the van, when we were coming down, the van broke on the 77 highway, in the middle of the 77 highway. The transmission broke down, no power. We were able to go to the right a little bit. There was a guy driving his truck. He pull over, and he came to help. He say, if you stay here, you will get hit. And he help us to be able to back up and to a safe place. And he left. Brother Ron then came back, and he got some help, and we were able to get here. Last night, we were going to another church far away in the mountain. Brother Gary got lost. And there was a guy in his motorcycle. full of tattoo. This is something that even when we get out of the bank, we say, that's the reason that we cannot judge a person from the inside, for the cover. We have to see the heart. That guy was going to some place. I don't know where he was going, but he decided to stop and take us to the door of the church. He took his motorcycle, follow me. We will follow him. And he lead us in front of the church. Those people, they need mercy. Those people, they need love. And the Lord has given us the opportunity. The Lord has established us here in the church to be able to learn more from the Lord that we may go out and preach the gospel. In Hopewell, Brother Gary Song, he told me that that phrase was from one of the lady, she passed away, I think that was last year. Before you get to the church, you can see, he said, this is a better place to be, before getting to the church. This is a better place to be. Sometimes it's better than our own house. We come here to learn about Jesus Christ, about his love, about his mercy, about his goodness to us. That when we get out, we may show what he have teaching us here in the church. Really, we have to realize that there are many people dying and going to hell. Many people dying and going to hell. Many of our family are dying and going to hell. And they need us to be able to show mercy to them. They need us to be able to open the Bible and show them the way of salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ. The question is what we are doing, what we are doing. We, as a missionary, we go to different countries to preach the gospel, but you have a mission field here in the United States, in West Virginia. What are you doing? what we are doing. The Lord want us to show his love. The Lord want us to show his mercy that many people may get safe fast.
